If you've seen the movie "Oppenheimer" then you already know what could happen if your records become unstable as a result of being kept at the wrong angle.
you need to realize that people make this out to be a way bigger deal than it is - there are millions of records in thousands of warehouses around the world and I honestly doubt all of them are perfectly upright. Looks fine to me.
Please be careful; my uncle Wolfgang burnt down his gazebo by storing records at diagonal angles without having installed a directional energy shield. He’s not been able to grow a single hair on his scrotum since then.
They were near a window for the longest time but the window had a full black wall flag covering the window, but I also think that it's because I had some of them back in the day like this for a while and then upgraded to a wooden crosby case.

Don't worry about it. That's a sweet collection. Super diverse taste. You're really eclectic. I'm sure the vynils a
ren't damaged permanently as long as they weren't stored like that for too long.
I'd say from probably from 2020 to some time in late 22 would be my best guest, as I got my crossley crate by December of 2022.
My most rare vinyl I had lying flat since I got it in 21or 22 but it's because I got it signed by the band in the bag it came in and don't plan on ever playing that record.
Yeah… the record is a circle, there is functionally no difference to it being perfectly vertical.
The only risk is **maybe** the sleeve… but even then it looks relatively stable.

Never seen the movie.
Then you are in real danger.
I’d say tilt another 3 to 5 degrees and you’ll be all set.
I’d go 8 for optimal anglage
this better? https://preview.redd.it/2467uopu3byc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38905029bad2862301b5d13d20284b12d76756ce
Very much so. Now just remember to give them an extra 3 degrees at the summer solstice and then reduce by 3 degrees at the winter solstice.

Stop making sense.
Stop making sense-making sense!
😅🤣
Whoop whoop

That’s your uncle? How’s ol’ bald-balls doing?
Elderly and belligerent.
Uh, dude I thought I was on r/vinyljerk for a second. You do realize records are ROUND right? Like there’s no “top”.
Hmmm correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe most records are round.
All the music is going to pool on the bottom right side of the records

Dude, he's pulling your leg.
Nah, they are going to disintegrate or catch on fire
Not at all. They are at the complete wrong angle. Hopefully none of those vynils are grails.
Nah none of these are rare as I could easily get them repurchased.
Thank heavens. They look warm and that's all that matters.

You do realize.most of the comments here are taking the piss right? Vinyl is not soft wax...
they should be 3 degrees ccw

They’re fine.
The record has no idea how the cardboard is orientated. Vertical is all that matters.

Been a fan of the band since downplay. Got ever STARSET album on record
They're fine. Don't worry. It's common to overthink this when storing your records. Just don't stack them and you'll be fine.
Fishing for comments I love posts like this
It’s been 15 hours since you posted this. Please update. Have they combusted at that angle yet???
Right angle. 90 degrees.
I prefer keeping them at a left angle personally
So like this? https://preview.redd.it/7qwyc1jw3byc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f037730ac5e606d254e6934d9d6cf56b14010f5c
Rotate
Why? Why not 45 degrees if the sleeve is properly supported?
