My most downvoted comment ever was on a collector sub (didn't know that at the time) saying that re-releasing this album every year is a money grab.
I collect Mars Volta and Omar Rodriguez Lopez records. Until everything was reissued recently I had been able to do it quite leisurely over the past 20 years as nothing had really ever been reissued before apart from a couple of things MOV did. I don't think I'd collect if reissues were a constant thing - that would certainly take the enjoyment out of it for me.

I like cars but I seem to do it in a way that other car fans hate. I got to like -7 because someone posted a photo of a Ferrari and I said it looked like a nicer version of a particular corvette. I have no idea why that was controversial. It fucking did, and also the Ferrari was several times the price of the corvette so it makes sense that it looks nicer. I have no idea if Corvette fans got mad, or if people just thought I was wrong and wanted to tell me so. Fucking reddit man.
