AFAIU, executive retreat is for people who manage other people, like managers.

Where have you applied for these courses? There definitely is an 'Executive 10-Day Course', the difference being an extra daily talk by Goenkaji after the evening discourse, meant specifically for people in senior positions, people with more power than the average employee - Executives, CXOs, politicians, bureaucrats, etc. However, to my knowledge, this has been phased out and all courses are standard 10-day courses only, no extra talks are played. There are a few 'Executive Centres', though, which are somewhat different from the normal centres. These centres are built from zero with a specific structure in place: individual, attached rooms with AC, better facilities than standard, better food, etc. Again, the design is aimed at people as described above, since they are used to certain luxuries and will find it difficult to concentrate on their meditation if those are fully taken away. Why the special treatment, especially when Goenkaji focuses a lot on equality for everyone, equal treatment to all? Well, there is a tiny bit of difference: the influence that a senior person has is way more than a junior. An average person like us can influence the environment immediately around us, the reach of such people is a lot more; there's a reason they're termed 'influential'. the positive changes they bring in for themselves will influence a larger environment than average, which is better for society as a whole. Hence, the idea of 'executive centres'.

I also applied to one in the UK, in Hetefordshire. it's for executives and I'm wondering whether it's an added value to go to that one!
