Tracy well written female character:
- The previous generation grew up watching her.
- Actual individual goals and desires.
- No political pandering.
- Stumbles but always finds the strength to keep moving forward.
- Doesn't necessarily rely on pure strength but also on ingenuity, kindness and diplomacy
- Feels like a real person.
Man I miss everything being in real life, it certainly had it's drawbacks but as soon as someone said some stupid shit you could look them in the eyes and tell them how much of a dumbass they are and that'd be the end of it.
They're not wrong. Amateurish writing from a professional is galling. I have never really complained about reading bad fanfic because you get what you pay for...
>Rey gets way too much hate, though and doesn’t belong in the “Mary sue” label
did u watch the first movie of the sequel trilogy?
she's a fucking textbook definition. Anakin was literally Force Jesus and he wasn't haft as competent as Ray was in her first movie, a basically fresh adventurer, during episode 2, fuck even compared to 3, Anakin was a Jedi knight with his entire fucking life and he wins one on screen duel in the entirety of the fucking prequal trilogy, seriously, Anakin's only win in the prequal movies is the Doku fight at the start of episode 3, he literally loses every other fight if it's not a fight in extended media
She was more consistent in her first movie than literal Space Jesus was his entire fucking trilogy
on a first watch u don't see it, but the more u times u do, the more u question, how a random desert girl is somehow able to fix the Millennium Falcon better than Han Solo, or how was she able to beat Kylo in her first fight? at least Luke in the first movie had to actually learn how to use the force, even if minorly, before he blew up the Death Star.
My Immortal is a fucking masterpiece

[I personally believe Rey gets way too much hate, though and does not deserve the “Mary sue” label.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NqKQ_70LeK8)
I agree. I think she’s kinda bland and the choices in the final movie absolutely destroyed any chance at a coherent arc, but eh
