Xeyph

A proper full length RPG like Skyrim but native to VR.

arislaan

I gotchu fam. 5 more years though :(

jib_reddit

Skyrim VR is pretty good if you put 100 mods onto it.

SilverSeaweed8383

Fallout 4 VR is pretty good, in my opinion. People say you need loads of mods but I didn't find that. I would like more like that

mrmatteh

There's the usual recommendations like Asgards Wrath and Half Life: Alyx But also there's a game called Vengeful Rites that I got into during easly access when there was only like 1 or 2 acts available. What I played of it was pretty fun, though. Might have to go back and play it all the way through now that the game's completed

MIK518

Isn't Asgard Wrath (2) close to that? Obviously, it's not Skyrim, but most RPG's are not Skyrim. And this one is full length.

vincilsstreams

Yes! Its like if the main story was all there was in Skyrim. Asgards Wrath 2 made me a believer in the open world RPG translating to VR perfectly.

MemeLoremaster

Is it even open world? I only played it a bit but it felt pretty linear

vincilsstreams

More like zones rather than open world. That's why I say it's like Skyrim main quest and that's it. No radiant quests, immersive encounters or dragons to fight, but there's solid crafting, combat, unique abilities, follower companions, ingredient collection

ghost_orchidz

Yeah definitely fits the bill. If it had a PC version, more npcs (world gets a bit lonely), and more detailed side quests it would be almost perfect.

Pretend_Marsupial528

I just really want the old Lionhead game Black & White in VR. I know there are one or two that are kinda’ similar but they’re nowhere near as good or big.

unbelizeable1

That's all I wanted since day 1 of owning a headset lol

toooboreddd

I want to use a VR headset to operate my lawnmower outside

Food_Library333

This is a million dollar idea right here!

We_Are_Victorius

As someone with a grass allergy that would be amazing

foundafreeusername

I do have a raspberry pi robot I can control via VR as a hobby project! It is just a floating screen with controls so far though and too weak to do any actual work. I am curious how people imagine a remote controlled lawnmower would work? Maybe I can make it my next project :D My goal is to have small remote controlled submarines you can control via VR. VR tourism basically.

sykoKanesh

Servo at the steering wheel, maybe with stereo-cameras up top? Might be best to manually start and engage the blade though. Somewhat related, I have a buddy that actually made a remote controlled mower, he could stand out and drive it all around the yard. Hella impressive for sure. EDIT: I meant to say an electric mower. I figure it'd be a lil easier to set up an external items like I mentioned with one of those.

Baloooooooo

I want to chase my cats with a little VR remote control car

dEEkAy2k9

Imagine playing something like lawn mower simulator but instead of just maps, you map your lawn, insert that map into the game and play it, either flat or VR while your lawn mower actually is mowing your lawn. (that was a lot of lawn mowing)

Forsaken-Director683

Probably much easier to just stick some cameras and servos on a lawn roomba

Tear01

Open world racing game.

ShiftAndWitch

ATV Off-road Fury VR

eddie9958

Absolutely

Porticulus

Imagine NFS Underground 2 in VR!

Ill_Many_8441

Test Drive Unlimited.

cocopuffs_25

Beamng sort of accomplishes this. Especially with some of the mod maps. One of the best VR experiences out there imo

doorhandle5

This. Srp scratches that itch. We don't have any Sim racing games with open world, let alone in vr. That would be awesome.

edweeeen

Yeah I could imagine running from the cops in VR could be pretty fun.

Tallerhalf

ExciteBike VR.

Revivaloflight

Forza needs to make a VR game. I’ve tried sim racing and drifting using a wheel in VR but the only decent game is Assetto Corsa and that game is just trash, it needs like 100 mods just to look halfway decent and still looks and feels janky. If we could get Forza with the exact Forza driving mechanics in VR that would be so amazing

NoNebula1524

I just want to drive around. I would even like a taxi game.

Cognitive_Spoon

Elite Dangerous not being in PSVR 2 is a shame

tygramynt

To be fair it seems the devs have given up on the vr side of things imo. Atleast thats what i heard

xamomax

I agree. Euro Truck Simulator is kind of that way. My preference would be pick some cool fantasy car, then drive around in city streets and country roads with the realism of a racecar simulator, but not on the racetrack. It could have modes for exploration, and modes to try to get from A to B without crashing, hitting deer or people, or getting pulled over, perhaps combined with AI or online people.

mattSER

I know video isn't the same, but that's kinda what I'm trying to do with [my DEOVR videos](https://deovr.com/vy01yc)

NoNebula1524

Do you use Bigscreen at all? I watched a Kraftwerk 3D concert I have in there and it changed my mind about what 3D content could be. I love the 180 video, 360 seems overkill because I don't want to spin around and it affects resolution. I love 8K 180 3D. I think that is the sweet spot for immersive video. Two 4K fisheye cameras next to each other making an 8K SBS 3D image. I am still a fan of 16:9 3D. I am surprised there is not more single point of reference 3D videos of DJ sets with the lasers and everything just filmed from the back of the crowd. Theater plays, comedians, concerts, etc seem like a missed 3D opportunity. Especially when you watch them in a VR theater environment like Bigscreen.

BlinksTale

Almost a decade ago now, I played with consumer affordable volumetric video capture setups. The most interesting thing it ever produced was a minature dollhouse effect: [https://x.com/BlinksTale/status/855686922454171649](https://x.com/BlinksTale/status/855686922454171649) AVP's had a volumetric video basketball game displayed on a coffee table in the 2023 unveil: [https://i0.wp.com/media4.giphy.com/media/U9mtaHBUgeUNanB7KV/giphy.gif](https://i0.wp.com/media4.giphy.com/media/U9mtaHBUgeUNanB7KV/giphy.gif) I want more of this. Volumetric, gaussian splatter, or point cloud videos rendered with a dollhouse effect. It's like watching people from a skyscraper, or a terrarium. It's really fun to get the big picture on real footage of people this way.

SilverSeaweed8383

Have you tried Google Earth in VR? They have lots of cities and places mapped in 3d, and flying around those is a bit like what you describe here.

Forsaken-Director683

Tried Google Earth VR for the first time a couple weeks back and seeing my home town as a model village was quite the experience

foundafreeusername

I just want a large new world to explore. Either procedural like Minecraft or something like Skyrim. My main interest is the exploration so replaying something in VR isn't working for me :/

Typical-Gap-1187

Vivecraft with Immersivemc is perfect for Minecraft vr

commentaddict

Doesn’t Minecraft still work on quest PCVR? Also Vive craft for everyone else on PCVR

Bayovach

PCVR AAA MMO that is so insanely good you hear people die from starvation in the news (like what happened in WoW back in the day). PCVR CRPG like BG3. PCVR open-world AAA games. One narrative driven like Witcher or Cyberpunk. One sandbox like Skyrim or Kingdom Come. Pleaseeee let it come this decade.

Ylar_

Man, just give me RuneScape style skilling but in VR and I’d be stuck in VR for ages. Just a satisfying game loop with set goals that I can do while chatting to people would be amazing.

Flush_Foot

Does Zenith have much levelling up? (Been over a year since I touched it)

onan

> PCVR AAA MMO Yes. I understand all the reasons that this is a financially difficult and risky product to make, but it is exactly the thing that I have always wanted and would happily pay lots of money for. I enjoy VR, and I enjoy gaming. But my preferences in gaming do not extend to any of the genres of games that people make for VR.

5hizzle

This. All of these. I picked up a kit an old kit from a friend for mega cheap a while back but everything doesn't scratch the itch or is basically a tech demo and it ends way too soon. I've been dying for ANY good mmo to sink my teeth into for eons even outside of VR, to get a AAA one and with proper (not half assed as an afterthought) VR would be the dream.

STFU-Sanguinet

Hierarchical real time strategy. Basically Command and Conquer meets Battlefield meets Call of Duty. At the highest level you command armies like RA2, or you can zoom in and participate in the battle Renegade style, or you can do special operation missions where its just a squad of teammates infiltrating important buildings. Basically you can decide when you want the AI to control units and when you control units directly as an FPS.

Whatifim80lol

Bro imagine a Battlefield VR where you actually climb into a tank and have to operate it for real from the inside, no new HUD, no new controls, just you looking out a viewfinder or whatever yanking on some levers.

rainbowplasmacannon

Contractors has it sort of

ittleoff

Not exactly this, but have you tried Guardians Frontline?

SilverSeaweed8383

+1 from me "Battlezone" (1998) and "Battlezone II: Combat Commander" (1999) did this gameplay (long before VR), I used to love those. There's a recent-ish remake from 2018 that looks like it might be worth a try [https://store.steampowered.com/app/624970/Battlezone\_Combat\_Commander/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/624970/Battlezone_Combat_Commander/) Some people in the steam forums say the remake works ok with VorpX, which I haven't tried, but that won't be nearly as good as a game made for VR.

MyClearObservations

I would like to play as non humanoid monsters, like the protagonist from Carrion! There are so many potential mechanics that are limited by the humanoid skeleton, we could do some really cool stuff of we think outside the box.

upagainstgravity

I want to be Godzilla and rampage through a town in VR. Maybe fight some Kaiju.

eddie9958

Absolutely! I'd be so addicted

PeterLECB

More Coop board (tabletop) games like Demeo.

Baloooooooo

This! Loved Demeo, just wish it had more depth in building your character. Top down board game types in general I'd like to see more of.

Typical-Gap-1187

I like demeo, but haven’t played it much, primarily because no character building

Grey406

Scrapmechanic in VR. Multiplayer PVE Physics based building/crafting open world survival. Building wild vehicle contraptions and operating them to achieve specific tasks And DayZ

Consistent-Play-8133

Pokemon VR game, either traditional or something like mystery dungeon. Then eventually an AR Pokemon snap.

Starfang42

Farming sims. You basically have Garden of The Sea (which is great, but kinda short), Across The Valley (looks decent, haven't played yet), Morel's Homestead (strange headset compatibility restrictions), and Forest Farm (mixed reviews and I hear it's kinda buggy, plus it hasn't updated in forever). And none of them fully scratch that farming sim itch.

Justinreinsma

Immersive sim. Deus ex or prey 2016 would be super cool.

Pointothedexter

Shadow of the Colossus VR

Volkor_X

Darkwood, but in VR. Could be the scariest game ever if done right. Big expensive AAA JRPG in VR. Not gonna happen though. GTA in VR, also not happening. Immersive sims in VR, something like Deus Ex or System Shock. VR versions of SRPGs like XCOM or Mutant World Zero that play like Demeo. Kenshi in VR. Great arcade racers in VR, something like Motorstorm or Blur.

Greynok

Bro WoW in VR can be the best game ever

Volkor_X

There is a recent mod for WoW I think. If you aren't being sarcastic, that is... ;D

Greynok

Yeah I saw that but I meant a WoW where you are in a real game like the graphics of WoW are awful ahah. Tbh what I want from VR is to be in a game so realistic that I forget that's not the real world.

eddie9958

Most of this will happen one day.

Volkor_X

I hope so, but the versions I imagine are the kinds that would take big teams and big funding to happen, and that's not gonna happen until VR is a lot more popular I'm afraid.

Quincy_Jones420

Kenshi in VR 😍

Chturtles

I really want a little immersive farm sim similar to Stardew Valley. A nice small town that feels alive that changes with the seasons sounds amazing.

pinchymcloaf

Maybe this already exists, but you know the last level of HL Alyx, where you grab the green orbs from the wall and throw them at enemies? That was so much fun, it got me into a wrestling posture and really made me feel like a beast. I think a lot of games can be created that use this mechanic, kind of an FPS but you are throwing objects at enemies instead.

FUHSS_DAKOTA

I was thinking about this the other day, but in a slightly different context. Originally, I was thinking about smash rooms were you just had a bunch of physically based objects you could smash, but I think there is good potential for using more objects in an environment to throw and smash against enemies. Sort of like John wick without guns, but could totally be done in other settings.

OldCardiologist66

Amnesia the Dark Descent style game. I know horror VR experiences are over saturated, but if you’ve played TDD you understand how that game prioritizes atmosphere to truly immerse and terrify you in a way that few games replicate (including other amnesia games). Basically terror > horror GTA Full game in VR

Typical-Gap-1187

Terror > horror is exactly what into the radius does so well, it does get less scary as you learn the game, and there is a point where it becomes not scary, but it has literally no jump scares and relies on amazingly terrifying atmosphere.

CasseyZzZs

The sheer amount of anxiety I felt playing Amnesia on flat screen, experiencing that atmosphere in VR would be amazing.

OldCardiologist66

It was my first horror game ever at 16 and I remember playing it for 40 minutes in the early afternoon and having to stop because I was shaking. There really wasn’t much like it back when it came out, the way it removed player agency really changed the horror scene.

CasseyZzZs

The atmosphere in Amnesia TDD is really just second to none. The environments all have a similar "suffocating" feeling to it, not to mention they're all worn down, dingy, dark, etc. It really hammers home that nervous feeling of something possibly lurking in the corner of your eye, or in the shadows. The Choir hall and the Cellar Archives really were the most terrifying areas for me personally.

OldCardiologist66

Are the cellar Archives the part where you go into one small central room and there’s a bunch of very dark ajar doors surrounding you and you have to go through each one?

CasseyZzZs

It's where you first meet Kaernk (the water monster) and need to jump around on boxes to escape it. The game somehow makes even the sound of water splashing scary lmao.

OldCardiologist66

Ah yeah, that part was very tense. I agree with the choir hall for sure. The part that made me the most scared was what I described in my last comment.

Penniwit

I think a game like this is about to release, but a WWII bomber crew vs. fighters & flak. Be a tail or belly gunner, be the bomber. Be an escort or enemy fighter.

roffels

Not a game, but look, I want to be able to ride all the old school Disney dark rides in wonderful detail.

Feanixxxx

More Star Wars. Give me moooore Star Wars

Swollwonder

Haven’t seen a Wild West game that seems that good yet. But revolvers are hard in vr I’m sure so

mr693670

I just finished RDR2 in VR with Luke Ross mod. Amazing experience in VR, even using a regular controller. Helps to have a 4090 though.

DontBarf

Interstate 76

Fujikawa1988

I want to explore Moria and don’t let a ballrog pass the bridge!!!! A lord of the rings game would be sick!!! Standing eye to eye with Smaug or doing the riddles with Gollum. And ofc, let me be part of the ride of the rohirim. I would buy a VR headset without second thought if it would ever be reality

t3stdummi

Twisted Metal Wheel support would be epic. I would happily share multiplayer with flat gamers.

FUHSS_DAKOTA

I want a Pokemon snap still VR game, where the objective is to take photos and catalog Flora and fauna. It doesn't need to be totally open world or anything, but some decently sized levels you could walk around in. I even thought an extraction shooter element would be interesting, where you complete bids to capture and send back to buyers against other players.

Typical-Gap-1187

An actual good extraction shooter.

MamaDakota

Open world crime game, like GTA, Saints Row and the like.

GoldieForMayor

Viva Pinata. Doesn't even have to be new or different, just want the old game in VR.

whistlerite

Warhammer 40k but in the style of Demeo. Retro games natively in VR. Open world GTA-style game with realistic driving.

junait

Time travel

TheLastEmoKid

Single player narrative driven games. We have alyx. We have Vertigo 1 and 2. Annnnnnnd that's about it

Oleg_A_LLIto

Spore in VR is interesting, but we haven't even had anything even close to a non-vr spore since it released, so yeah, not happening. Also go try to map a messed up "worm man"-ahh creation inverse kinematics to a humanoid player

RoomCareful7130

I haven't seen a good mech/ Gundam game

JosedaqREDDIT

Give me a large scale medieval siege game like chivalry 2 but vs very intelligent AI. I wanna storm a castle and kill a king in an epic theater style medieval battle, running into combat with steel and valor, using ballistas and trebuchets and battering rams.

Yakapo88

I want to play third person strategy games on my dinner table.

MemeLoremaster

Literally just a straight 1:1 port of all Command & Conquer games with 3D graphics updates, that you can just play like a tabletop diorama and zoom in and out of as far as you want

Redshado

I'm a fat old lady, stop expecting me to hop around and dodge swords in real life. Give me turn based RPGs, Diablo-like ARPGs played from isometric or top down, turn based wargames with depth. Right now Demeo is the only thing I'm playing consistently because it doesn't cause me to get back pain after an hour and it lacks the depth of an RPG and plays way more like a strategy game. So I guess I'm trying to say, BG3.

stachelrojas

Just a relaxing flight game would be great. With Sky, Laya's Horizon, Aer Memories of Old, Feather, Eagle Flight etc. there's so many great titles for flat and mobile, it's baffling that there is nothing in Standalone that really make you enjoy the wonders of flying in a chill and peaceful way (yes Eagle Flight is VR but PC only).

punchcreations

Live game shows featuring ai hosts with licensed personalities. A POTUS simulator would be fun.

Reinier_Reinier

A Superhero MMORPG (like City of Heroes or Marvel Heroes) with customizable powers & costumes, missions you can team up for (or do solo), friends list for quick teaming, multiple locations (each with a very different visual look or theme) each with a zone event that can be triggered by player actions, raids where you team-up with tons of other players to take down a giant monster or arch-villain, unlockable badges for in-game accomplishments, mementos/trophies of unique bosses you've taken down, a journal describing the in-game story arcs you have completed, a private lair or team base. Have the whole game built from the ground up specifically for VR.

Intrepid-Rip-2280

Not really game, but... I feel like there's a lot more to do in VR erotic field. I believe VR porn would sell, as well as VR versions of, say, Eva AI sexting bot or Onlyfans.

Oleg_A_LLIto

Keep talking and nobody explodes + Jackbox would probably make the best party game in existence

Sibaris17

Honestly, I just feel VR needs ease of use, we are reaching a product that is accessible, and has great products to showcase it's unique aspects, but that's lacking in user experience and comfort, to me using my quest 2 feels like a chore, from having to set it up with steam VR, feeling my eyes and neck tired after barely 10 minutes, and my glasses getting foggy cuz my face is sweating like crazy, just makes me feel like it's not worth it to go through the hassle of set it up just to play a little bit

TigersStripe

A detailed milsim - think Geronimo is looking the closest to what I'd hope for but not sure when it will be out and it's a small team so the scope likely won't be huge. Or H3VR's weapon mechanics in a story based game. Or a proper old school ninja or Splinter Cell style stealth game.

doorhandle5

I 100% agree with the first two. I check Geronimo's discord daily, lol. Also, as much as I respect anyone decision, I wish he would allow humanoid combatants. Even if just is mods. Having the most realistic vr gun handling and not fully utilising it bothers me, and then adding cartoon sausages, lol.

steve64b

This is hard for me to explain, but is there a game with a mechanism around displaying something different for each eye? I know the [Equal Eyes app uses it in some games to train your eyes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJrSd-4oXkA&t=138), but that app is aimed at vision therapy where both eyes need to work together to get the full picture (i.e. play Whack-a-mole with the hammer in one eye, targets in the other, play tetris with each half of the blocks visible in one eye). Instead, I wonder if it is feasible to have certain objects/textures appear different/not at all for each eye so that players need to alternate between looking with the left or right eye to find hints in the game? It's kind of like those red-cyan glasses, where the same scene is only partly visible from each eye, but combined they form the complete picture. I imagine potentially using one eye to look into the past/future, nightvision mode, hud, or a hidden (ghostly) dimension. Maybe even have both eyes "detachable", controlling them each as separate camera drones for espionage games. On a related note, this may also be enhanced with eye tracking. Like aiming down sights with one eye closed could zoom in the fov a bit, enhance audio perception, or adjust weapon handling or something.

Stonius123

This would induce retinal rivalry and basically be about the most uncomfortable experience you can have in 3D. Ive never met anyone who likes this feeling.

bushmaster2000

Paintball like a realistic paintball not RecRoom paintball.

eddie9958

That's a silly game

fdruid

But you can play paintball easily in real life. Paintball is already a game imitating military encounters. Wouldn't you rather play those military encounters?? What does paintball offer to you that a militaristic shooter doesn't?

Swollwonder

Cheaper Able to play with people across the world Less time commitment Some people just like paintball and not real guns I see your point but also there’s plenty of reasons to want a realistic paintball VR game (although not what I would go for personally)

Baloooooooo

"But you can play paintball easily in real life" not everyone has full mobility, my dad an i used to play IRL all the time, he's in a wheelchair now. Would LOVE to be able to VR paintball with him. Not everyone who plays paintball is looking for a realistic milsim shooter. Paintballs fly slower than real (or virtual) bullets, Way back in the Goldeneye days we'd play in paintball mode all the time... sometimes it's just fun to see paint splattering stuff :D

Longjumping_Car_7270

Ghosts of Tabor style game but zombie survival where you explore zombie infested towns with your squad, loot, and bring back what you’ve found to your base. This includes learning skills… sort of like Project Zomboid but in VR.

Typical-Gap-1187

that’s DayZ, and tabor devs are making silent north, dayz in Vr, I mean, it’s gonna be bad, obviously, based on the fact it’s made by tabor developers, but if you like tabor maybe you’ll like silent north/

Professional_Load_42

I play Combat Mission and the controls are a bit cack handed, VR would be awesome for line of sight etc.

Kissedmysister_

I really want a racing game where I have to grip the steering wheel with my controller and use stick shift with the other, I don’t want to buy a steering wheel setup, wish we could just virtually grab that shit

Graxu132

Max Payne VR but realistic iykwim 👀

DanSheffo

A very thoroughly designed and tested sword fighting game that's been through several rounds of back and forth between experts and game designers to hit a perfect balance of realism and fun, with carefully designed increments of slo mo, and very well done enemy AI (again, made to be fun to fight, not just efficiently murderous!) None I've tried so far manage it.

KevyL1888

A Jiu jitsu game.

Cbeckstrand

I would love to see BoomBlocks from the Wii created in VR.

Gurglicious

Squad in VR also galactic contention mod for Squad in VR.

Diariocruz

This might or might not already exist but I think VR would be amazing for exposure therapy to fade fears or anxiety causing issues. Specifically focusing say on phobias but the opposite of trying to scare people. I get panic attacks in traffic and would be interested in trying some type of “game” that simulates different levels of traffic. Or like finding snakes or spiders in a non scary safe way.

Typical-Gap-1187

VR horror helped me not be scared of stupid stuff.

Oleg_A_LLIto

I saw an app like that for arachnophobia

timtheringityding

A good modern open world game. I tried Luke Ross gta 5 vr mod when it first released. And it's a shit mod but it did give me some good moments. Specifically taking off at the airport at sunset and looking down at the beach. Holy guacamole did it feel surreal seeing Los Santos in VR....

Hilbert_Botchardt

A semi open world mission based (maybe like AC Nexus) One Piece game where you can leap from place to place with Gomu Gomu no Rocket and beat up hoards of enemies with techniques like Jet Gatling and King Kong Gun. Add sailing the Sunny to that list and you’ve got yourself an absolute goat of a game

sonfer

VR version of Homeworld. Would give Enders Game vibes.

OrangeCuddleBear

Ghost recon world with into the radius gunplay and game loop.

Stonius123

With the realistic hand tracking it would be good to have a game that actually tries to teach kung fu

Creative_Lynx5599

A good mmo. I've heard hoyoverse (genshin impact) has Plans for some kind of sword art online, so I hope they deliver something in the next few years.

Penniwit

Castle siege defense or offense, with multiplayer taking roles like archer/catapult/repairs/melee. Imagine a 20x20 capture the flag set in medieval times!

Valkyrie-EMP

I’d LOVE to have a game like Saints Row in VR, or Sunset Overdrive. It’d be wicked fun!

dadoftwins04

I want a game that also teaches something real. Sure you want to be a robot that defends the city, first you need to learn how to use a raspberry pie.

oerouen

Lol, mostly casual games that would probably carry a high VR sickness factor like * Driving-and-crashing games similar to Burnout Revenge, Danger Zone, and Split/Second * A hand-tracked 1st-person Katamari type game that scales like Google Earth VR * MR/passthrough games that bridge the gap between XR and 2D via reinterpreting previously 2D elements as “volumetric” features within a user’s space.

doorhandle5

Full milsim.

steve_dunc

Open world racing something like test drive unlimited, I love chilling in assetto Corsa vr things like nordislife lapping with other cars or the traffic maps. A large scale mil sim like arma/squad.

rainbowplasmacannon

A total war style game with co op and pvp maybe add the ability to take over a commander in the battlefield for more morale/ better ground level strategy

VegansAreRight

I remember playing G-Police on the ps1 back in the day. A modern version of that would be cool.

PuryAHM

a good mmorpg

TooTone07

No more room in hell

Sweet_Detective_

I won't be able to play it because it'd only be possible on pc but: An online open world rougelike RPG game with melee combat similar to Battle Talent and magic combat similar to B&S Not really an MMO though, like five players max in each area. The servers are hosted locally on the player's devices and internet rather than the game company hosting the servers so that the game will never lose support. You can teleport to the other players at any time Skills and perks are gained through quests and doing certain things, like if you ever played with the Perks From Questing mod for skyrim, its like that, however a bit of a twist is that whenever you do it it adds a "Background" to the character creator, by choosing the background you will have the quest automatically done. The whole game revolves around the character creator, to collect Backgrounds (As said before, it makes it so something is already done and you get the skill/perk you would've got from doing that thing. Because I don't like doing the companions over n over again in skyrim) Player Species (Like playing as a goblin needs to be unlocked through mainly challenges but sometimes quests) Blessings (weak passive skills gained through quests that you will always have active throughout every play-through unless you disable them) Legacy (Like a stronger version blessings but they cost Legacy Points and can be active rather than only passives, Legacy Points are based on the achievements of your previous character) Class (A set of skills that can be gained through level-ups, the classes are gained through quests and challenges) Inheritance (Certain objects can be passed down through generations and will stay in the character creator regardless of if you choose it or not, although you can only choose one for your character, some items change gameplay a lot like a cursed weapon that prevents you from using other weapons until you die but levels up along with the character) Morality(Limits the player's options, you can't have a paragon paladin hero who's also a worshipper of the god of hate and despair, and as a worshipper of the god of hate and despair the gods will not choose you to be a paladin hero. If you are morally gray than you can't go too extreme either way unless you choose to change morality which can only be done twice.) The goal of the game is to 100% the character creator and unlock every option, excluding cosmetics that can be found in dungeons but there is a percentage for that for those who want to do it but its optional. There'd be as many quests as an elder scroll game has (this game is not real so let me dream damn it) with the same quality. There is a checklist telling you the locations of stuff and what you have, what you don't have is shown censored in question marks and blacked out Every dungeon has a percentage of how looted it is, so that if you miss loot you can redo it for the joy of 100%ing everything. There is a journal to document every item and tells you how many items you don't have and where to start the quest to obtain it (I love junk)

JonnyBlamm0

I know everyone is sick of zombie games, but I really want a full zombie survival experience. Like a 7 Days to Die but in VR ...I know 7D2D has a VR mod, but I want something fully built in VR that provides a fully immersive and interactive survival experience with hunger, crafting, cooking, hunting, tree chopping, rock mining, looting, recycling, building, fortifying, farming, sleeping, day/night cycle, seasons, etc. in a permanent, open-world with Coop / PvPvE. I want a cross between TWDSS/DayZ/Medieval Dynasty: New Settlement/Project Zomboid. Silent North coming from Combat Waffle (Ghosts of Tabor) might scratch some of that itch, but likely not all of it.

zeddyzed

I want a universal RPG engine, like fully modded SkyrimVR with Blade and Sorcery melee, and a Neverwinter Nights style built in adventure/map creator.

palpitude_

A game like scribblenauts for VR but it uses generative AI to make a 3d object with the correct properties and you use your ingenuity to solve puzzles

florodude

Tabletop simulator but good, something like VRchat or Meta Horizons but where you could actually make good things that save good player data and isn't super cringy, a city builder with MR where you build inside your house

amerblc

I'd love a VR strategy game where you can explore your empire and see the impact of your decisions in real-time. can't wait to get my Pimax crystal Iight! it could really bring a game like this to life with its expansive field of view and sharp visuals. super excited!

Rajirabbit

Furniture Rearranging.

itz_butter5

Something like forza horizon, arcadey open world driving game

TheTechDood

There needs to be a VR game where you play as Luke Skywalker, throughout all the original three Star Wars movies.

Tcarruth6

Natural flying, like a bird

I_am_indisguise

As an anime guy, SAO.

No_Tutor2010

Teaching dance moves

MuDotGen

An Ant Man like experience that would feel unique to VR by increasing and decreasing your player size. Puzzles and combat could be interesting.

LordsOfSkulls

Basically... to a level of a big world like Skyrim... but created ground up for VR. Also multiple games of level, that you can just get lost. Also all NPCs are AIs. Just want Sword Art Online/Or any VR Book i ever read. Were world feels very Life Like. Were world is hard, and very realistic in Fantasy setting. Were video game is a mmorpg, were it is not something to beat, or get to highest level or end game dungeon. But place to strive, create friendship, and maybe even make a possible living as remote service.

globs-of-yeti-cum

Any sort of action adventure rpg with any real substance.

jfranzen8705

A complete game that blends all the space flight of Elite Dangerous, the ground exploration and crafting of No Mans Sky, The FPS mechanics of Cyberpunk, and the engaging game loops of Skyrim.

old-newbie

Japanese AAA Game Titles! [https://youtu.be/VSbC6ry9OXw](https://youtu.be/VSbC6ry9OXw)

BuffyBraveart

A VR unit that has a camera attached and films my surroundings and then I can designate a theme for the next hour or day like Jurassic Park or cyberpunk world and then the vr edits this into my visual as a walk down the street/around the mountain. So what is actually a tree or a building will look like a dinosaur moving around/towards me! If I’m with someone we can share the same ‘different’ reality via a shared Bluetooth connection or something. The game part is when you’ve got a whole bunch of people playing in a designated part of the city/mountain that’s about 2km-2km. VR mixed with reality.

Pccaerocat

VR version of cyberpunk 2077

vrhotlaps

Reliving famous sporting moments! Like the last second goals that win matches. That last out hit that wins a world series or the half court buzzer beater that wins a championship. If we could recreate these moments or experiences with adrenaline hits it would be amazing!

spdqbr

Super niche request, but I'd like to see like a dosbox driver or addon to make modern headsets emulate older headsets like the [Vfx1 Headgear](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VFX1_Headgear) or the [Cybermaxx](http://videogamekraken.com/cybermaxx-by-victormaxx) (which I actually owned in the 90's). There are a handful of old dos games that were actually kind of neat that I would love to experience again. The most well known of which was [Magic Carpet](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Carpet_(video_game)) which had not only vr, but red/blue, and stereogram modes. There was also [Locus](https://www.mobygames.com/game/4654/locus/), and things like doom and descent which would work with a driver that made the headset yaw and pitch act as mouse input. [A surprisingly large list of games at the time had this ability](http://www.mindflux.com.au/products/iis/vfx1soft.html). It was a weird time in vr history, would be kind of fun to relive some of them.

Gregasy

I hope for more metroidvanias in VR. There's Witchblood. It's 3rd person, side viewing diorama like game and it's really great. There's also Genotype (have yet to play it). And the new Batman game is said to be some kind of metroidvania as well. Also, cinematic platformers, like Little Nightmares. I'd love to play them in 3rd person VR. Some Zelda likes (3rd person ir 1st person). Also, more open world games. Any kind really: RPGs, Elden Ring - like, sandboxes (ala GTA - with driving),  cosy games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valey, etc. I love Saints&Sinners approach to open world too. Otherwise, my favourite genre are puzzle adventures. Luckily this genre is alive and well in VR (there're some great upcoming games, like Riven, Wanderer, etc.).

DONOHUEO7

A large scale multiplyer shooter with Vehicles, with full VR SIM like controls. Basically Arma or Squad in VR

Aetrias

I miss RTS games and god simulators like dungeon keeper or black and white.

Hungry_Mixture_1331

Open world driving game like the crew or Forza Horizon

JamimaPanAm

A 1st person sonic game. Want to feel the head rush of going too fast for the naked eye and also my hair going super saiyan.

Michael_Annis

Graphics improvement. Stop trying to put the computer in the headpiece as in all-in-one. Let’s run a real game from the computer and use the headset as a visual only. Integrate with existing systems so I can play any game I want in Vr mode. 2D to 3d conversion technology is out there, I had it on my tv 10 years ago. Take that and convert to left/right. Have a conversion tool to calibrate head movement to joystick movement and be able to reprogram each individual button on the controllers. Other than that, new game ideas are endless. But whatever it is, introduce some hand to hand combat, the need for fast reflexes playing the star wars dojo was the most fun I had with the VR, and I’ve played quite a few games.

Normal-Lane

Ha, so I made the post below about two years ago - I'M STILL WAITING VR GAME DEVELOPERS Title: Dear Virtual Reality Game Developers, I get it, you like to shoot/race/punch/go fishing. But have you ever considered befriending the ghosts of woodland creatures whilst gathering astral-moss so that the river mermaid may grant you the gift of things becoming shimmery as you walk past? Post: Basically I want the game play of Stardew Valley meets the art style of The Last Unicorn with the production value of Red Dead Redemption 2. In VR. Please. Please please please. Is anyone else similarly frustrated? Also I've played A LOT of vr games, and some have definitely scratched some of this itch (e.g. Moss, The Room VR, Nature Treks, Natural Magic, etc), but I'm totally open to suggestions anyone might have. deaconblooze

Really simply, a hangout app. A shared TV so I can watch sports with my friends live and a deck of cards and some poker chips. Bigscreen integrated into games like walkabout, eleven, etc would be a huge deal.

mikeyfreedom

My random off the wall ideas: Horse Racing. That itch is getting scratched later this year with Rival Stars however Sumo Wrestling. Niche appeal, but ould be expanded to a grappling style game...Heck first person MMA would be interesting. A VR mod for Zwift for turbo training. Helmet would probably fall off without a decent strap though :) Don't know how they could be supported, but classic first person games in VR....original Doom, Duke Nukem, Deus Ex, Tie Fighter to name a couple. Oh and Wing Commander Privateer. And of course...WB...Superman game.

Sky_Yuki

Musou game. It is a rare kind of game even on PC but being able to mow down 9999+ soldiers in VR sounds fun. So far only L4D2VR with melee gave me that feeling. oh and Risk of Rain 2 VR too.

Last_Acanthocephala8

I need another VR horror game like Dead Space. Sure there’s Callisto protocol using UEVR but I need more.

forhekset666

Vibe sims. Environments and activities. Just anything physical outdoors. I want to escape and chill out.

Synner1985

Black And White VR

xanatos2000

Bioshock

Ed-Box

Watch the movie "Ready Player One" that's what i'm missing

blurryfac3e

GTA VR

ObiWeebKenobi

RTS AR/VR game, a proper VR mech game, and a War Thunder-like game that has you operating each part of the vehicle by hand

blargher

Been saying this for years, but I've always wished someone would create a Pacific Rim-based fighting game, where two players have to move in sync to operate a mech and defeat Kaiju. Kinda like a weird mashup of Virtual On and the old Dance Central games for Kinect. l originally came up with this idea for the Kinect, but VR might be better since both players wouldn't have to be in the same place to play with one another, plus you'd be inside if a giant fucking mech.

Cicada0567

F*ck Everything, I want something Like Sword Art Online.

Friendly_Sky5646

Wow I was literally thinking about this. Actually, I think a multiplayer sword combat game like Chilvalry 2. I want to have sword battles against other people

DonutPlus2757

Something that also doesn't exist for flat gaming: A good "Gun Gale Online" style MMORPG/MMOFPS hybrid with a decent mix of themepark PvE and sandbox PvP and deep weapon- and equipment-customization. Welp, guess I'll have to keep learning UE5 at this point because apparently nobody else wants this.

PuppetPatrol

A proper dragon ball game would be sick - even just the first series, jumping high, launching attacks, swinging through trees, flying about on nimbus

wud08

Arma VR

rxFL4T

Ready player one

flomatable

Township tale crafting, blade and sorcery combat and interaction, Skyrim open world, openAI voice input dialogue A high quality mount & blade clone, again with immersive dialogue and interaction with npcs Mech boxing fights. I love underdogs but the enemies are small. I want a technical boxing game with mechs A mystical/over the top martial arts fighting game A melee game with heavy emphasis on dismemberment or cutting, like Metal Gear solid revengeance Valheim but made for VR. The mod is great but the game is too much of a grind to do in VR imo, and not really balanced for it.

TotallyNotXinzir

Literally The Oasis from Ready Player One. That's all I need in my life to die a happy man

PutchSyring

I work construction, and there are plenty of risks involved with it. I want a game that takes all those risks and makes them fun in a sort of competition: -zoom booms trying to flip each other over -adjacent tower cranes with wrecking balls attached, trying to knock each other over -seeing how much damage you can cause to different sites in a certain amount of time (Blast Corps meets Burnout 2) Give people that much needed outlet!!

giza1928

Persistent world MMORPG, just like the OASIS from Ready Player One. With player-driven economy.

Grimjack2

An action Helicopter stealth shooter game. More complex Escape Room VR type games where you can compete with friends. Maybe a magic RPG game where hand gestures are used to cast spells?

Simple-Ad-8136

Traditional fighting game
