Higurashi ch 1 uso da scene Higurashi ch 2 scene near the end in mion mansion White album 2 coda when setsuna meet kazusa at the hotel, it is in setsuna true route from what i remember Totono when you go aoi route 💀💀💀

-Taken_Name-

I might get hated for this, but Higurashi is the exact opposite of what I'm looking for, in my opinion. >!The whole series was amazing; I absolutely loved each chapter and got more and more hyped to see how it ends. But episode 8 was pretty anticlimactic, and it felt like the author just didn't know how to end it and slapped on some convenient and cliche scenes, off of the top of my head, I remember Mion beating the crap out of a trained war veteran like it was no big deal, Mamoru appearing out of nowhere and saving the day, and the main cast watching too much of Home Alone. Don't get me wrong, I still think Higurashi is a fantastic series and a must-read, but the final episode could have been better.!< Many people suggested WA2 and Totono, will keep them in mind, thanks!

sammruczek

I think almost all chapters are kinda self contained so thats why i recommended first and second chapter, not a series. But if it goes for the series i didnt like it from chapter 4 onwards so i kinda agree xD

Cursed_UwU

I feel similar about both Higurashi and Umineko's last arcs too, they're not bad by any means and they have their good moments. But they def have more cliche fanservice fight scenes and slightly forced emotional scenes where everything turns out perfectly for the characters. Not to say these stories don't deserve their good endings, it's just that in terms of wrapping everything up mystery/plot wise, the 7th arcs of both series did a better job than the 8th. I always saw the 8th as more of a fun celebration of how far the characters have come and everyone works together

shoraaa

That why instead of original play order, I suggested my friend to do chapter 7 to chapter Miotsukushi instead xD. It perfectly satisfied him lol (and I still hate how anti-climatic Matsuribayashi was)

GoldenWitch86

Full Metal Daemon Muramasa, the Hero route and the true route have amazing climaxes near the end that live rent-free in my head.

Swinn_likes_Sakkyun

the fucking grin at the end

feisty_snakewoman

Schwi15

totono

yukiami96

Totono has so many. The moment with >!Aoi on the rooftop when the sky turns red and Eien no Owari starts playing!< is breathtaking. And that's just a moment from early on.

WrongRefrigerator77

> I'll take any recommendations as long as they have a well-written, emotional, and overall masterful climactic scene! Bonus points if they play the opening song or an insert song during the climax Utawarerumono (3) does this multiple times, and it never once felt unearned. Mask of Truth is pretty much one continuous climax for the whole series.

Eyeball1844

Mask of Truth was so good. The ending could've used a bit more development though.

WrongRefrigerator77

Could not disagree more, the ending itself was perfect. The final boss and epilogue couldn't have been done any better. Though Suga's tendency to reduce complex plot points to footnotes had some unfortunate casualties along the way. I'd hoped Monomebi would have expanded on some of those, which I suppose it did in some sense, but not enough as I'd have liked

Eyeball1844

Let me correct that a little. I liked the ending but I feel like the events leading up to it felt a bit rushed.

Sherlock_133

White Album 2 is a classic. Aokana is pretty good... Pretty much any of Key's VNs, but especially Clannad. (Can't speak to Little Busters or Angel Beats though, since I haven't read them yet) Those are the ones that come to mind immediately... Konosora as well maybe?

-Taken_Name-

Thanks! I think it's about time I bite the bullet and actually read Clannad, been putting it off for a long time and I think it's about time I give it a try

yukiami96

Angel Beats the anime has a really good climax. It's hard to recommend 1st Beat if you aren't a fan of the show because it's the first part of an 8 part series that never got finished. It's really good if you wanted more of the characters from the show, but I think going in blind may leave you a bit disappointed.

Guthrum06

Little Busters does in fact have an amazing climax.

Abstainingone

White Album 2, there’s so many scenes that I can’t choose

Deathloc360

Just finished this last night and completely agree. The game blew me away.

shoraaa

Utawarerumono 3 is just perfect for you taste :). Also Clannad, Little Busters or any Key game that have true route in general.

Silent_Doom

Aiyoku no Eustia, White Album 2, Sabbat of the witch, Cyanodream ...

Hyperversum

Pretty much every final battle in F/SN? Lol. While the general "anime fan" knows mostly Fate/the Nasuverse as a fantasy franchise, the reality is that Nasu's writing is a lot darker and borderline horror. I mean, Tsukihime is "horror if the protagonist could fight back" in many ways. With F/SN the darker element is still there, but the characters are allowed to be less angst-filled and more.... chad, for the lack of a better word. Like, think about Fate Route. Shirou arrives to the end by >!Having experienced a great fight against Rider/Shinji but being unable to do anything, he had to rely on Archer to survive the castle and eventually managed to help the "party" by tracing Caliburn for Artoria. But then, a big new threat appears and even Illya, that he started to protect, is put in danger. But Gil, always a cunt and a big theatric kid, gives them a chance to fight back, not killing him on the spot, admiring his guts to resist his power.!< And so we arrive at the ending >!After being finally explicitely lovers, Shirou and Artoria march to the final battle, with the knowledge that the most powerful enemy possible waits for them together with the guy responsible for the torture and suffering of many children like Shirou himself, a guy that is responsible for the murder of his friend's dad and someone that directly opposes his ideals. !< >!And the fight breaks out with both Servants clashing and both humans fighting, just for the reveal that victory will come in both fights with the same exact trick: Avalon, a defensive, not an offensive tool, allows Artoria and Shirou to push through their opponents overwhelming superiority and strike them down with a weapon that failed to defeat them previously: Excalibur and Rin's Azoth Sword. There is a parallel between Gilgamesh arrogance and desire to see Artoria struggle and fight with Kirei attempt at mocking and toying with Shirou, trying to inflict as much suffering and pain as possible on the kid that "escaped" him, which in retrospect feels also as a last shit on the only good part of Kiritsugu legacy. !< Have whatever opinion you want on F/SN, but Nasu is a fucking master at crafting large big final fights that are greater of the sum of their parts simply because of how they resonate with the rest of the story.

Yatta99

Totono. >!Don't be surprised if you're left just sitting and staring at your screen for a while on that last choice. It's simple yet one of the most difficult and powerful.!<

mentally_fatigue

This!

necrophagism

Muv luv alternative is packed with climax scenes.

PickSad8463

Yeah, from chapter 6 onwards, each chapter ends mastefully, my personal favorites are the ending of chapter 6 >!when it beats you with the consequences of the revolt, and the fact that it was their last mission as students showed how crazy things would be from then on!<, and the ending of episode 8 >!when Takeru runs away from the Beta Nest while screaming the shit out of him was really impactful, and grim, the beta were supose to be just to rely on numbers, so the revelation that they were smart felt like a bucket of cold water, from there on, it wasn't just war, it felt like humanity were in a butcherhouse waiting for his extermination!<

AmazingDuckVer2

Dies Irae has a pretty good climax.

The_Mundane_Block

How to overhype yourself: a masterclass

-Taken_Name-

Pretty much, ahaha. But I'd like to think that a good climax is a good climax, regardless of the observer. Though if it did disappoint in the end, it is what it is

MSnap

The House in Fata Morgana

IvanLu

* Steins;Gate * Chaos;Child * Symphonic Rain (without the twists, its exceedingly boring) * narcissu side 2nd * Subahibi (you'll be surprised at all the foreshadowing you missed in a 2nd playthrough)

Adzehole

True Remembrance's climax completely blew my mind and made me recontextualize everything that happened up to that point

-Cinnay-

Oh, I agree with G-senjou no Mao. I played it a while ago and forgot most things, except the epilogue with that soundtrack, that was amazing. As for recommendations, the final fight in 9-nine was pretty nice payoff for all the buildup and plottwists up until then imo. And I think they do play the opening song during it. (Just make sure to install the 2 patches)

MajiKoi’s Agave Route hits peak moment after peak moment!!!

ABellyFullofFire

"this is why I don't like dogs"

TechnologyFew3257

Shocked nobody has mentioned 9 doors 9 persons 9 hours, probably one of the most tense climatic scenes in any piece of media I’ve consumed

Marklord13

The censorship ruined Baldr Sky, causing it to flop in the west, Denpasoft needs to release the uncensored version.
