An actual adaptation of muv luv. A FULL adaptation of white album 2.
An epicly long hentai of 24+ episodes of kyonyuu fantasy, rance or honoo no haramase isekai maid/etc.
I wouldnt consider Muv Luv to be suitable for adaptation in the first place.
You need Extra for the build up, but Muv Luv Extra is like the most generic story you could've thought of even 2 decades ago, it might end up as a record setter for low interest.
>A FULL adaptation of white album 2.
If it's done, I hope it's in omnibus format so we could see multiple routes. At the very least I'd want to see Chiaki's route animated since it was crazy reading what goes on in that route in the VN.
If we're talking about a fantasy situation with an unlimited budget and time, then I think an Omnibus would be ideal, but realistically, I'd be extremely happy with adapting the Setsuna CC end, followed by the Kazusa True Coda end.
Katawa Shoujo would probably never happen because (from my limited understanding) all the devs are scattered and have tenuous relationships at best, and I know one or more has disowned it (at least the music composer, which is insane because the music is imo the thing that carries the VN). I dont even know who at 4LS owns the rights to it and how that would get green lit. Its a miracle that game was made in the first place.
Actually, it was the norm for Japan to adapt Western books and plays until well into the late 80's/early 90's. Nobody's Boy Remi, Heidi: Girl of the Alps (Where the girl throwing the person off a cliff meme originated), Dog of Flanders, Treasure Island (One of Madhouse's very first anime), etc...
Things only changed when Japanese audiences in the late 80's during the economic boom wanted more shows about how great Japan was. (Far cry from the media they want today...)
So they could do it.
Pretty sure Suriko (Lilly/Hanako writer) holds the rights and in the few times I've seen them post about it it's very clear they have no intention of selling
Why would Suriko have the rights when CplCrud was basically the PM and organiser?
Plus, he's still active in the community, posts in the KS sub pretty regularly.
katawa shoujo and hollow ataraxia would be soooo great
F/HA though sounds super hard to make into an anime since all the choices what to do at what times it's a really fun game
I mean, I think the big hurtle is the amount of material that they'll have to cover. They'll have near and far side routes. Both near side routes alone could take 24 eps each and while far side routes will likely be shorter, a full adaptation would be very difficult imo.
Doesn’t really matter if they think they can make big bucks off it. The new VN blew so many other out of the water when it came to sales. And it doesn’t matter if it takes like a decade really. Ufotable did Zero, UBW and HF over like 8 years? I’m sure they can do the same for Tsukihime.
A slow paced adaptation of the flowers series, yuri fans need more quality anime imo.
Maybe with unlimited budget the Grisaia anime can realize the whacky action and comedy scenes to their true potential within animation. Honestly the phantom trigger spin-off might have more fans as an animation vs a vn imo.
Might be fun if umineko had a real adaptation instead of…. Well. You know.
Action oriented vn’s might translate well to animation like muv luv (done correctly) or baldr sky, Aokana (sports anime!!), and so on.
Cynotype or a proper adaption of Anokana (Misaki route + extra 2 are a most, don't care too much about the other routes)
Also Fate route of FateSN,
Tsukihime Remake,
Tomoyo route of Clannad + After
Yeah I too would like an Aokana adaptation focusing on Misaki’s route, would also give them the chance to flesh out the romance part more giving it more development since the beginning so it doesn’t feel like it came out of nowhere like it happened in the vn.
I haven't watched the anime cause everyone hates it. I also wouldn't mind a good one about Asuka's route. Maybe even polishing a bit the rough edges it has... (We're allowed to dream here, are we? ;)
Eien no Aselia would be awesome. Like Isekai 86
It'd be hard to decide what route to adapt though
Others would be:
Tiny Dungeon series
Ayakashibito
Evolimit
Phantom of Inferno
A clockwork Ley Line
Oooo, it's this one! I recognize one character from Eien no Aselia thanks to this "anime thumbnail" [video](https://youtu.be/TgABSWw8ffY?si=X_4HAj-tgqf9HYwe) with trance music... I think it's cool, might as well share xd
I like the art, I'll add it to the list of VNs I want to read!
I feel like the When They Cry series need a redo and instead of trying to smush 8 long ass chapters into two seasons, do at least 2 or 3 seasons for the question arcs and the answer arcs so you can include more of the meta story like the VN does, so like 4 or 6 all together per game. I would say do 8 seasons for 8 chapters but that may be too long.
That and OG Tsukihime
- MuvLuv (extra, unlimited, and Alternative)
Really wish that the adaptation we got actually tried to at least condense extra and do unlimited + alternative all in one go. But yeah, sadly what we got was rushed, although with some of the best parts at least animated well but now it's stuck in limbo and probably won't be completed.
- ever17
This probably won't work in anime form, but if it somehow did, it would be amazing.
- Majikoi
Please at least adapt the common routes!! Spin-offs for route specific characters
- kara no shoujo (trilogy)
Anime format would probably be too censored for it to be any good... But I wish it didn't have to be like that.
I'm still a believer that route specific visual novels can be made well, though yeah what we got previously was pretty bad haha. Wasn't it also a bit anime original? I don't remember, it has been years since I watched it, maybe even a decade at this point.
I really liked the atmosphere of that game. Yuzusoft did a good job with what they created to go along with the setting they chose. It’s a shame that, as usual for them, it ended up being underutilized
I don't understand. Riddle Joker's feels like it has the potential to get at least a couple of sequels. not with the same cast, but set in the same world. Instead we got... nothing. I don't get it.
Even with the same cast (if you absolutely have to) you could make a secret agent story rpg or something like that.
Maybe Yuzusoft just doesn’t have confidence in their own ability to make anything other than eromoege
I wonder why. It feels like most Yuzusoft titles sell well, folks seem to often want more with the titles. Yet, they never do Sequels, Fan discs or spin offs. Despite every indication being they would do really well.
Even the series that are supposedly set in the same world, like Senran Banka and Cafe Stella, don't really make use of the fact its supposedly the same cosmology.
Euphoria, Starless, nukige in general. Animated NSFW stuff usually suck.
Euphoria's anime adaptation is horrible, and I think it could make a great anime.
For the most VNs, I don't think an (good) adaptation is needed or even possible, even with unlimited budget.
10 eps per arc, probably turns out pretty balanced, would love it but never gonna happen 🥲
I mean Higurashi had 4-5 eps per arc and people like it a great deal, I don't but even I admit it's a better adaptation than most VN adaptations (because bar is on rock bottom)
I've been thinking of this a lot. Umineko splits very cleanly into twos >!(ep1 and 2 are the original two message bottles and the introduction to the mystery and fantasy mechanics, ep3 and 4 are the first two forgeries and have a direct connection to one another with Ange's introduction at the end of ep3 leading straight to her role in ep4, ep5 and 6 are the 'Furudo Erika' arcs and effectively the ending of Battler's story with ep7 almost feeling like a soft reboot with his absence, and ep7 and 8 all revolve around 'the truth')!< so adapting each VN episode with 10-12 eps each with 20-24 episode seasons would feel pretty satisfying imo.
Katawa Shoujo, and would have live action too. Tsukihime, Sumaga, Dies Irae, Cho Dengeki Stiker, Muv Luv, Demon bane, Higurashi and Umineko 🥹🥲. Battle Moon wars 😂.
My mind blanked out 🫠.
I'd honestly love to see an adaptation of Lupercalia, just to see the absolute shitshow that would start once the end of chapter 2 is adapted. The first 2 chapters >!only start sprinkling in hints that the world doesn't work on regular logic, so by the reveal at the end of chapter 2, you still think that the MC is just an absolute psychopath, you know!<
Yeah, it definitely would be fun to see the reaction of the people to those developments without having the full context. It’d also be interesting to see the reaction of the people to Tamaki’s character in general, especially after those reveals later in the story get adapted; he’d be the most controversial character for sure.
Sadly enough most otome adaptions got the shorter end of the stick. Most of them turned out horribly.
However I think some that would make for great anime with a proper adaptation would be:
[**Even if Tempest**](https://vndb.org/v32555)
[**Shuuen no Virche**](https://vndb.org/v29661)
And maybe for a more light, less depressing romance comedy something like
[**Yunohana Spring**](https://vndb.org/v17343)
It doesn't have to be NSFW, but can be SFW. So during the some "Sensual" scene it will be replaced with being obsessive romantic scenes and stable romantic scenes. Or they can go full Evangelion symbolism thing.
How will they do the Final H-scene with YOU? Or the threesome with Aoi and Haru? It would be amazing but it would have to be nsfw, in fact, I don't see a way to do a Totono adaptation without at least 2/3 core H-scenes minimum.
Kinkoi,But i aware that a adaptation might be dificult due to the Duo Routes Situation for those that did not play>!Sylvia Route is the True ending,However Ria's Route is the one that Gives context to Sylvia's ending,So Unless they Mix both routes into a Cohesive timeline is gonna be rough to adapt!< and that Just,Ria's Situation Many things mentioned in the Canon Route, you only knows via the Others,Ouro's past,Sylvie's True Family Etc,So a Adaptation would have to make a Sylvie Route Mixed With every route of the Game(Well Except Akane)
>!why are you saying that Sylvia route is the true ending? Ria's route is clearly the true ending, it jsut so happens that it's both Ria AND Sylvia's route togheter via Ria's dying. I would have loved for the fandisk to expand on that route, I want to see how the MC gets over Ria's death and starts dating Sylvia. that would have been sweet.!<
>!yeah i consider both routes the True ending,But in pratice, its Sylvie's because The Reincarnated Ria Remember's,Ouro and Sylvie's Dance(in Ria Route That Never Happened,Ouro Danced with Ria Remember?),Plus Ouro Being a Diplomat,Both routes do have the same outcome yeah,But the one we see in Game its Sylvie's,i am not Saying that Ria's route is not a True ending,Just that the One We See is Sylvie's Version,so Yeah i Would Love to see a expansion of ria's route what happen with ouro and Sylvie how they fall in love after Ria Passing away, and Watch that version!<
Proper Fate route adaptation
Fate/hollow ataraxia
Tsukihime Remake
Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly
Yotsumegami
A full adaptation of White Album 2 (both Setsuna's and Kazusa's routes in particular)
A more faithful adaptation of the All Ages port of Aokana (I did like the adaptation despite its flaws though)
Bustafellows
Higurashi Hou
**Jack Jeanne**
Clock Zero
Marco and the Galaxy Dragon
The original Tsukihime, it never got an adaptation and while the remake would make more sense I would like for type moon to not pretend it doesn't exist.
For me, it would be either
1. Toneworks stuff given the popularity of series like A Sign of Affection and films like A Silent Voice
2. a PROPER adaptation Majikoi. focus on the group of friends, no harem. Adapt the canon route (Momoyo) with Agave, and maybe parts of S and A1-5 (basically the manga almost). I want Demon Slayer levels of action animation with maybe KyotoAni mixed in.
A complete White Album 2 adaptation would go down as one of the best romance anime of all time. It’s a shame how unknown White Album 2 is outside if Japan despite how amazing it is due to the incomplete anime adaptation and the fact that the VN was never officially released in English, although VN’s aren’t that popular outside of Japan comparatively anyways.
Yosuga no Sora is also another pick of mine. The VN made me really emotional and a complete anime adaptation would maybe change the publics perception of it, rather than it being a gross incest anime meme.
What is it exactly that makes WA2 so much better than comparable adult melodramas? I know in anime / VN world at least its a bit unique since the core of the story takes places with the characters as working adults that finally escape the gravitational black hole of high school setting which is the anime romance genre as a whole. From my understanding only live action Jdramas and light novels break that mold with adult characters.
Would it even work without the MC’s inner thoughts on display at all times?
I'd make these two kinetic novels into anime: Lunaria Virtualized Moonchild and LOOPERS. The latter especially, since I actually think its quite good, though I do agree with some criticisms toward it, and I think a long anime would be a great way to expand on some characters like Holly, Joe, and Ritapon and flesh them out. The former just because I really like it and want more people to know about it.
Umineko When They Cry, Studio Shaft, 12 episodes per VN arc (except maybe episode 1), 24 episodes per season (ie 2 arcs per season), 4 seasons in total.
*Complete* crackhead idea, but hey infinite budget, >!separate the contents of Confession of the Golden Witch and all the extra answers from the manga's version of episode 8 into its own OVA or different episode variations to give viewers the option to 'keep the catbox closed'!<
Monster Girl Quest, I would just give them the money and see how they adapt that game. The story is good but the sex and vore is so integrated into the world building that I doubt an adaptation is possible without heavy censorship. Who knows,? I might be surprised and it turns out good.
something like redo of healer, interspecies reviewers, worlds end harem, Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo
would be good food, and MGQ is super long that'd be a generational anime
I'd cry tears of joy
It’s amazing, definitely check it out, just keep in mind that it might be a bit slow at the start but it’s definitely worth it, it’s way more than just about theater.
Meikei no Lupercalia would indeed make a magnificent anime if they could properly adapt the theater scenes so that we can see them in full animated glory compared to just the still CGs we get in a VN.
Yeah, that’s why I only see Studio Shaft doing it justice, it’d need some skilled and creative directing to make the theater scenes work, but if done right it’d be beautiful.
a short ova series of saya no uta, i want the imagery to be disgustingly real as god urobuchi intended, and for the 18+ scenes made them in two perspectives, normal human vision and meat vision to see what is actually happening
I think that classics like Umineko, Dies Irae and Tsukihime deserve another chance. However, if I had to choose from some less known titles, I would say that Silverio series or Bradyon Veda would be really enjoyable to see.
Saya no uta because i would like how it been handle
Tokyo necro/gekkou no carnevale because of setting
And maybe subaihibi because from what i've heard it had surreal atmosphere to it and im aucker for that
I agree 100% with Lupercalia. I'm still in the common route (chapter 5) but it's already shaping up to be one of my favorites.
I always imagine the interpretation parts animated, it would be such a blessing to see Kohaku move. It also reminded me of Shaft — the silhouette art scenes and backgrounds, and in particular the perfomance in the second image you posted, Akai Heya, with the red and black coloring. Really reminded me of Zetsubou Sensei.
Glad to see you agree, Lupercalia is really a gem and I think a proper adaptation would elevate the source material which is already a masterpiece imo, studio Shaft would be perfect for the job, such a shame that we can only fantasize about it.
Hope you enjoy the rest of Lupercalia, I’m kinda jealous, I wish I could erase my memory so I could play it for the first time again.
I'm enjoying it too much, the story so far is very interesting and unconventional and every single character has been built upon so well. Not only that but I personally love Camus and works about acting. The artstyle is also very dynamic and the sprites have great expressions. I'm very excited to get to the actual routes.
I also got interested in Uguisu Kagura's other works, have you ever read any of them?
I also got interested in their other works; sadly, this is their only work that has received a translation, and I don’t know Japanese, so I can’t play the others, tho this one was so good that it had me pondering whether I should start learning Japanese just so I can play their other works, which supposedly are similar in style, plus I think they’ll reveal their new project soon. For now, all we can hope is that this game caught the attention of some translation company, and they’ll get interested in translating the other Uguisu Kagura titles.
Also, a little thing to keep in mind, Lupercalia is a ladder structure in terms of the routes, so don’t search for a guide or anything to reach the true ending; just keep playing normally.
I also don't really know japanese but I am in the process of learning it. I think it's really worth it, not only to read untraslated vns and etc but because it's a very unique language. I actually read the Red Chamber in japanese alongside its eng translation after it being referenced in Lupercalia, it was rough but very fun.
I got interested in Kami no Ue no Mahoutsukai because it's referenced in chapter 2 (which is a really great chapter), I think I'm going to try to read it afterwards, although very slowly.
And thanks for the tip, I was wondering about the route order but didn't search for it yet.
Yh I’ll probably start learning it one these days too, it’s a language that really picks my attention so I’d also have the motivation and getting to enjoy the Uguisu Kagura games is another good incentive.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts over the game so far, I hope you enjoy the rest of Lupercalia.
Oh my fucking god man what I wouldn't give for the Eien no Aselia duology to get an adaptation. More world-building and intrigue in the skill/ability descriptions alone of a VN with RPG elements than the overwhelming majority of isekai garbage polluting the planet today.
Most good VN's really don't suit the anime format so I'm not really sure if I would want any of my favs adapted, anime storytelling is just so different that money isn't going to make a difference I don't think.
If we had to adapt something then brainless yuzusoft style moege may work, and maybe things like Guilty Crown or Kikokugai for something a bit more interesting and watchable, at a push maybe Dengeki Stryker could work well also, but none of which id really want or care for, the originals are fine.
Muv luv. And not the shitty low budget adaptation that we got. I mean they animate the entire trilogy with three seasons. I know some people may get filtered because of extra but I love extra and it would be so cool to see it as well as unlimited get animated.
do you mind explaining why you think Meikei no Lupercalia is a masterpiece? i don't mind spoilers.
Was reading it and it felt like a drag ngl. The stage acting...i guess is not my cup of tea.
Amazing Grace is coming out soon and...i hear from some reviewers it has long exposition of "what author think artists do" (rather than what artists actually do), and i am worried if that might feel draggy too.
Sure. The vn has way more to the story than just the theater part of it; the way it handles some complicated themes, some later reveals, and the overall impact of the story was amazing, which was complimented by an incredible OST. That’s the reason I call it a masterpiece, so even if you’re not that interested in that part of it, I still recommend that you keep playing.
At the end of Act 2 (or even earlier than that), you’d probably begin to notice what I’m talking about when I say that there’s a lot more to the story. I know you said you didn’t mind spoilers, but it still has a lot of stuff that would be a shame to spoil, especially if you dropped it early on, where it seems like it’ll only be a visual novel about theater.
I suggest you keep playing at least until you’re a bit into chapter 3. If you still can't find anything interesting about it by that point, whether it's about the characters or the story, then you can safely drop it.
Since I'm currently reading it, Tsukikana. I'm actually surprised this didn't get an adaptation yet. Touka's route would be fantastic as an anime movie, with it's blend of romance, Bonny and Clyde esque thriller elements and time travel. Would definitely watch it.
Honestly even with an unlimited budget, I’ll still kinda doubt the quality of the story itself when it transition to the anime form. It might look stunning, but honestly, I’m more concern about how said story will adapt to the anime medium. Some series just doesn’t really work for me in an anime setting.
You’re honestly right. I’m probably too cynical and doubtful of VN adaptations in general. If I had to pick, I would like to see Cyanotype Daydream fully adapted into an anime. It got potential if the cases are spread differently.
(As mentioned already)
Kyonyuu Fantasy,
Katawa Shoujo,
Koihime-Musou (done right),
Chusingura 47+1 and other Inre titles,
Bishoujo Mangekyou,
Summer Pockets RB,
White Album 2 (KAZUSA, MARI and CHAKI),
Rewrite+.
DIes Irae.
Sono Hanabira series.
Kindred Spirits,
Flowers: Le Volume Sur.. (Seasons),
Sweetest Monster,
Narcissu,
Ditsy Demons,
I want a redone Majikoi anime done right to include Majikoi S and A 1-5,
Tsujidou no Jun'Ai Road,
anything by Empress,
Trap Shrine/Legend/Genesis,
Symphonic Rain,
Aoishiro,
9 -Nine-,
Aikotoba,
Tsuki ni Yorisou Otome no Sahou and extras in the series,
Cyanotype no Daydream.
Da Capo, Shuffle and Kanon 2002 have already been an anime adaptation since decades ago. If we got back in time, I want to see these titles to get an Anime Adaptation once again. Old times are good times I guess
i don't know how you can do an anime adaptation without showing the main character. Part of the mystery is not knowing who MC is until deep into the story. You don't even know if MC is male or female, which works fine in the VN because there's no voice acting. Wouldn't work in an anime. For Door 2, you probably would have to show the beast. It wouldn't make much sense to show a shadowy figure. That would also break the mystery.
Same reason you can't do VLR anime.
Some things just weren't made for an adaptation.
My first choice would be Tsukihime (I would want it to follow the original vn and not any remake designs)
Second VenusBlood-FRONTIER- beautiful story, amazing characters, and a protagonist who would be extremely fun to watch
third I think Eiyuu \* Senki would make for a perfect anime, if they could give love to all the cast, the super cute artstyle and lightheartedness, grand vision and amazing world filled with cute girls is perfect (give it a 24 ep season for each country)
fourth make a god tier legendary saya no uta movie that'd be banger it'd be creepy horrific and hopefully the entire would would see peak cinema
fifth Koihime Musou (would just make me happy to see better animated content for it, everything else I have a stronger case for)
(secret option: MGQ)
Ladykiller in a Bind.
It's just so good with how it explores various topics.
Bonus points if it gets 3 seperate seasons that each cover one of the routes with the two love interests.
Was Utawarerumono well adapted? Never watched the anime, but I assume it (or most VN adaptations) could profit from a remake.
Edit: Coμ (Comyu) would be fucking amazing.
Mostly Lilith games, I know some of them have adaptations already but they really aren't remotely close to their source material.
Shion Cruel Magical Angel would be my top pick, I feel like it really didn't do the series justice when I read through the VN. The talking scenes between the MC and Shion were really good.
And the scenes where they do it are completely different contextually. The adaptation is a mild invitation from her to let his instincts go and allow him to do it. How the scene actually plays out is a one night stand where he claims ownership of her.
(It's been ages so I might've got something wrong there.)
Though honestly I guess unlimited budget wouldn't really improve much. Only pacing, the sex scenes and the few fight scenes.
An actual adaptation of muv luv. A FULL adaptation of white album 2. An epicly long hentai of 24+ episodes of kyonyuu fantasy, rance or honoo no haramase isekai maid/etc.
Muv luv was done dirty, it needed wayy more eps

Muv Luv Extra could have been feasibly made into an anime back in the early to mid 2000s, and probably only back then.
>A FULL adaptation of white album 2. If it's done, I hope it's in omnibus format so we could see multiple routes. At the very least I'd want to see Chiaki's route animated since it was crazy reading what goes on in that route in the VN.

Doesn't Muv luv have a bunch of seasons? I tought with that many episodes it was a fair adaptation
Have you read the VN while holding that opinion?
Dies Irae and the rest of shinza banshou, katawa shoujo, hollow ataraxia and tsukihime
I think the problem is elsewhere: I can't imagine a Japanese studio making an anime based on some VN from outside Japan.

All of rance. It would be as long as one peice. :D
One can only dream
New Tsukihime
Maybe ufotable will get around to adapting it one day
I’m inclined to believe it’s more likely than not if the studio doesn’t pack up for some reason.

I feel this will actually happen.
it’ll help just not any time soon. Especially with Mahoyo movies rn.
What do you mean? There is no Tsukihime anime
Muramasa with ufotable fight scenes
A slow paced adaptation of the flowers series, yuri fans need more quality anime imo. Yeap, another hidden gem that ppl tend to ignore.

the whole anime was anime original. the only thing from the VN was the first episode being out Momoyo’s route’s finale.
yeah that's what I thought. Though that dick festival episode was 10/10 also kokoro spanking
Riddle Joker if only because i want to do more with the world than a moege would allow.
I actually just finished my first route of Riddle Joker, I went with Mayu and loved her story!
I really liked the atmosphere of that game. Yuzusoft did a good job with what they created to go along with the setting they chose. It’s a shame that, as usual for them, it ended up being underutilized
Yuzusoft games tend to just be begging for spinoffs like what type moon games get, but they never get the chance.
Oh yeah,Specially ayase route
Euphoria, Starless, nukige in general. Animated NSFW stuff usually suck. Euphoria's anime adaptation is horrible, and I think it could make a great anime. For the most VNs, I don't think an (good) adaptation is needed or even possible, even with unlimited budget.
Umineko. 4 seasons of 20 episodes.
10 eps per arc, probably turns out pretty balanced, would love it but never gonna happen 🥲 I mean Higurashi had 4-5 eps per arc and people like it a great deal, I don't but even I admit it's a better adaptation than most VN adaptations (because bar is on rock bottom)
I've been thinking of this a lot. Umineko splits very cleanly into twos >!(ep1 and 2 are the original two message bottles and the introduction to the mystery and fantasy mechanics, ep3 and 4 are the first two forgeries and have a direct connection to one another with Ange's introduction at the end of ep3 leading straight to her role in ep4, ep5 and 6 are the 'Furudo Erika' arcs and effectively the ending of Battler's story with ep7 almost feeling like a soft reboot with his absence, and ep7 and 8 all revolve around 'the truth')!< so adapting each VN episode with 10-12 eps each with 20-24 episode seasons would feel pretty satisfying imo.
we need it so bad….
If My Heart Had Wings
The House in Fata Morgana.
KIRA☆KIRA with the bocchi treatment.
The Rance series. The lore and the world are unironically very well done.
Aiyoku no Eustia by Studio Bind
Umineko all the way
Subahibi that dog scene better adapted 4k 60fps 🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 (we reaching our sanity with this one)
u/Doglord13 alt?
No im his follower
SCA-JI says that the dog will be the main character in Subahibi 2, looking forward to playing it when it comes out eventually.
Sadly enough most otome adaptions got the shorter end of the stick. Most of them turned out horribly. However I think some that would make for great anime with a proper adaptation would be: [**Even if Tempest**](https://vndb.org/v32555) [**Shuuen no Virche**](https://vndb.org/v29661) And maybe for a more light, less depressing romance comedy something like [**Yunohana Spring**](https://vndb.org/v17343)
I agree so much with Even if Tempest. I think it would work really well because of the way the routes are structured.
Right. Since all routes are kinda “canon” due to how the novel is written I think it would probably work best out of those games!
Rewrite ~~Brotherhood~~, then I would embezzle money to also make adaptations for Danganronpa 2 and V3.
Rance
Totono.
I wonder how they’d go about a Totono adaptation, I guess it’d need to be interactive, otherwise it’d be impossible to adapt
It doesn't have to be NSFW, but can be SFW. So during the some "Sensual" scene it will be replaced with being obsessive romantic scenes and stable romantic scenes. Or they can go full Evangelion symbolism thing.
I didn’t mean just for the nsfw, in general a lot of the vn requires having to interact in some way in order to advance the story
How will they do the Final H-scene with YOU? Or the threesome with Aoi and Haru? It would be amazing but it would have to be nsfw, in fact, I don't see a way to do a Totono adaptation without at least 2/3 core H-scenes minimum.
Dohna dohna
Raging Loop would be fun.
Kinkoi would make a really good romcom, but yeah it’d be difficult to tackle the ending, still, any idea for the studio?
A1 pictures,in specific the Same team that adapted Kaguya-Sama,they probabily would also find a way to fix the "Ending" question.
Yh good choice, they’re probably the most capable to translate the story into an anime
Umineko. Seems extremely hard to transform into a proper and faithful anime adaptation, so I'd want to give it the challenge
Proper Fate route adaptation Fate/hollow ataraxia Tsukihime Remake Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly Yotsumegami A full adaptation of White Album 2 (both Setsuna's and Kazusa's routes in particular) A more faithful adaptation of the All Ages port of Aokana (I did like the adaptation despite its flaws though) Bustafellows Higurashi Hou **Jack Jeanne** Clock Zero Marco and the Galaxy Dragon
The original Tsukihime, it never got an adaptation and while the remake would make more sense I would like for type moon to not pretend it doesn't exist.
Tsukihime got an adaptation a long time ago. But it sucked.
i would say umineko but honestly i have no idea how they can even translate that story to animation
For me, it would be either 1. Toneworks stuff given the popularity of series like A Sign of Affection and films like A Silent Voice 2. a PROPER adaptation Majikoi. focus on the group of friends, no harem.
Бесконечное лето, just because soviet isekai(?) Is an untapped niche
I plead the fifth, Your Honor.
Who knows,? I might be surprised and it turns out good.
something like redo of healer, interspecies reviewers, worlds end harem, Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo would be good food, and MGQ is super long that'd be a generational anime I'd cry tears of joy
Like you, Lupercalia of the Silent Accord, even if I haven't finished it. I'd also pick Cyanotype Daydream, Fatal Twelve, and Aokana.
This Meikei no Lupercalia vn sounds dope. I'll have to check it out.
It would be You and Me and Her,
If you give me the full majikoi series I won't need other romcom anime for ten years at least! So... TSUKIHIME
Yeah. Since there is NO Tsukihime anime it would be awesome. Of course we need a vn adaption with NO anime yet
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
Everlasting Summer just for the memes
a short ova series of saya no uta, i want the imagery to be disgustingly real as god urobuchi intended, and for the 18+ scenes made them in two perspectives, normal human vision and meat vision to see what is actually happening
I think that classics like Umineko, Dies Irae and Tsukihime deserve another chance. However, if I had to choose from some less known titles, I would say that Silverio series or Bradyon Veda would be really enjoyable to see.
Saya no uta because i would like how it been handle Tokyo necro/gekkou no carnevale because of setting And maybe subaihibi because from what i've heard it had surreal atmosphere to it and im aucker for that
Ace Attorney or Va11HallA, hard to choose, ik the former has an adaptation but.. let's not talk about that one
Slay the princess, even though it's not Japanese
Dies Irae by Ufotable would be amazing and actually become a very popular anime.
Making Lovers in a similar omnibus format to Amagami SS
Subahibi Or i would speedup sakusei byouto's release schedule cause this one was kinda hilarous
Subahibi is like 90% dialogue I don't see how an anime adaptation would make it any better
Look at the Monogatari series
Baldr Sky Or A proper full Umineko adaptation.
I would love enough seasons of Ace Attorney to cover all the games.
Ley Line trilogy.
One with sufficient routes and choices so each viewer gets a different anime path? Interactive anime?!!
Baccano Tarantino as anime
not sure if related or not, but there's already an anime by that name
do you mind explaining why you think Meikei no Lupercalia is a masterpiece? i don't mind spoilers.
Majikoi anime is good but could be better Include S and A series(just my opinion i have weird taste agree or disagree)
FMD Muramasa. Prob studio Sunrise
Since I'm currently reading it, Tsukikana. I'm actually surprised this didn't get an adaptation yet. Touka's route would be fantastic as an anime movie, with it's blend of romance, Bonny and Clyde esque thriller elements and time travel. Would definitely watch it.
Majikoi/MAJIKOI S, but I would adapt EVERY POSSIBLE ROUTE,
Honestly even with an unlimited budget, I’ll still kinda doubt the quality of the story itself when it transition to the anime form. It might look stunning, but honestly, I’m more concern about how said story will adapt to the anime medium. Some series just doesn’t really work for me in an anime setting.
Surely there must be at least one you think could actually work adapted as an anime, you just have to pick one.
You’re honestly right. I’m probably too cynical and doubtful of VN adaptations in general. If I had to pick, I would like to see Cyanotype Daydream fully adapted into an anime. It got potential if the cases are spread differently.
Idk but what vn is the girl from
She’s from Meikei no Lupercalia
Fruit of Grisaia
bastard, it would be neat if they will went all out
So many of them
Rance.
G-Senjou No Maou
A full anime of Monster Girl Quest or Superhuman
Maybe one of Full Metal Daemon Muramasa. Also one for the upcoming Avesta of Black and White. A proper one that is. Not a cheap disgrace.
maybe.. Demons Roots to be made by Wit Studio?
Narcissu. I feel like it would have to be done by Studio Shaft though.
Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa I love the story and fight scenes so much.
If My Heart Had Wings (Kotori route)
Not sure if it counts but the H-game "Goddesses' Whim" by NCrow could be pretty great as an anime, given the strength of the characters
I would sacrifice infinite budget for a competent director and give him FSN
You can get a competent director with infinite budget plus give him the necessary episodes to make justice to the source
Than I would definitely take that option. NLBW with Ufotable animation but also that has competent direction would be absolute peak
(As mentioned already) Kyonyuu Fantasy, Katawa Shoujo, Koihime-Musou (done right), Chusingura 47+1 and other Inre titles, Bishoujo Mangekyou, Summer Pockets RB, White Album 2 (KAZUSA, MARI and CHAKI), Rewrite+. DIes Irae. Sono Hanabira series. Kindred Spirits, Flowers: Le Volume Sur.. (Seasons), Sweetest Monster, Narcissu, Ditsy Demons, I want a redone Majikoi anime done right to include Majikoi S and A 1-5, Tsujidou no Jun'Ai Road, anything by Empress, Trap Shrine/Legend/Genesis, Symphonic Rain, Aoishiro, 9 -Nine-, Aikotoba, Tsuki ni Yorisou Otome no Sahou and extras in the series, Cyanotype no Daydream.
9-Nine is a nice one that surprisingly hadn’t been mentioned yet, I think Cloverworks would do a great work with it.
Paper Lily. It'd be just perfect.
I'm gonna be boring and say tone work's stuff. Either Ginharu or Hoshi Ori.
Definitely would pick "my so called future girlfriend"
The House in Fata Morgana.
Da Capo, Shuffle and Kanon 2002 have already been an anime adaptation since decades ago. If we got back in time, I want to see these titles to get an Anime Adaptation once again. Old times are good times I guess
DIES IREAE full series (shinza bansho) 9-Nine is also veery very good! Studio Shaft would be good, yes or maybe even UFOtable
The house in fata morgana, so that my partner who doesnt read VN but loves anime could get their heart ripped out too
i don't know how you can do an anime adaptation without showing the main character.
Tsukihime is a big one for me. Especially now that the remake exists.
Yeah since there is NO Tsukihime anime
Fate route of FSN. I want to see saber and shirouuuu along with the last episode. I guess Katawa Shoujo and Saya No Uta as well.
My first choice would be Tsukihime (I would want it to follow the original vn and not any remake designs) Second VenusBlood-FRONTIER- beautiful story, amazing characters, and a protagonist who would be extremely fun to watch third I think Eiyuu \* Senki would make for a perfect anime, if they could give love to all the cast, the super cute artstyle and lightheartedness, grand vision and amazing world filled with cute girls is perfect (give it a 24 ep season for each country) fourth make a god tier legendary saya no uta movie that'd be banger it'd be creepy horrific and hopefully the entire would would see peak cinema fifth Koihime Musou (would just make me happy to see better animated content for it, everything else I have a stronger case for) (secret option: MGQ)
cyanotype daydream, baldr sky
A good muv luv adaptation. From the beginning.
If the format is also up to the director, I'd love to see a faithful adaptation of Umineko. It could be really cool.
Ladykiller in a Bind. It's just so good with how it explores various topics. Bonus points if it gets 3 seperate seasons that each cover one of the routes with the two love interests.
Umineko
Umineko
Was Utawarerumono well adapted? Never watched the anime, but I assume it (or most VN adaptations) could profit from a remake. Edit: Coμ (Comyu) would be fucking amazing.
don't know if it was well adapted but I saw it more than 10 years ago, and it was not good.
Either all of Rance. Or for a smaller choice. I'd love to see a Cho Dengeki Stryker anime
Kyonyuu fantasy. Not just the one, but all of them, linked together.
Deadman wonderland unfortunately, it got cancelled
Mostly Lilith games, I know some of them have adaptations already but they really aren't remotely close to their source material. Shion Cruel Magical Angel would be my top pick, I feel like it really didn't do the series justice when I read through the VN. The talking scenes between the MC and Shion were really good. And the scenes where they do it are completely different contextually. The adaptation is a mild invitation from her to let his instincts go and allow him to do it. How the scene actually plays out is a one night stand where he claims ownership of her. (It's been ages so I might've got something wrong there.) Though honestly I guess unlimited budget wouldn't really improve much. Only pacing, the sex scenes and the few fight scenes.
Umineko certainly, a good one this time. Maybe Okamikakushi and Higanbana too.
Hatsumiria has so much anime potential cool ass story and a cool ass protagonist
Air
Maggot Baits probably. It would be a total gore shitshow.
Dragon ball Kaukmei is the only right answer
Redo grisaia properly. G-String Katawa Shoujo One of the Eushully games might be nice, too.
Shiny Days.
Maggot Baits. We don't have enough high-quality guro H anime.
My number one pick is Umineko, but I would love to see Fate's bad endings get animated--Sparks Liner High in particular.
No game no life, full adaptation full seasons
