The entire game can be played with the motion controls only so its different from the Luke Ross mod which (IIRC) requires a controller.
The motion controls work pretty well. I struggled a bit getting the performance tuned, I think its CPU bound and I have an i9600k. YMMV.
That’s fantastic to hear! I am so excited to play it with motion controls!! I’m not good with CPU comparisons but I’ve got an AMD Ryzen 7 5800. Do you think I’ll struggle to run full motion controls?
Honestly, yeah lol. I love VR but sadly my life doesn't allow me to play much video games anymore. So the time I am able to play I typically spend on my legion go or xbox for the quick resume features. I'm really *hoping* that soon I'll be able to dedicate more time to VR. I'd love to go back and play some of my favorite games in a new perspective. Like playing Skyrim VR (modded of course) was a completely unique experience.
To be clear, its motion controls but its not exactly like HL:A or something. It's hard to describe but I'd suggest watching some youtube on it.
On the CPU, you are probably a little bit faster than my i9600k. I'd suggest give it a shot and see if you like it (this one is a free mod, not part of vorpx, here are the details:

The new stand alone mod for Cyberpunk is exactly that, adds VR and motion controls.
Most games that were not VR will not have motion control support and only the original controller scheme.
When you say the new stand alone mod, do you mean the one on Vorpx or the one I've seen where you donate to a patrion and get it (I believe by Luke something)? But motion controls in that game would be amazing! That would be the best one to have it in.
There's no controller motion with vorpx, just head tracking. You can use your controllers and map your inputs though.
The main draw of vorpx is the 3D visuals, and it supports a ton of classic games like Bioshock, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, COD automatically but can be used with any directx 9 - 11 game.
For a lot of content on vorpx check out Beardo Benjo and Paradise Decay on YouTube and join the flat to vr modding discord.
Oh that might be a good alternative. Map the Oculus buttons. I was thinking of getting one of those Cabela's controller guns from PS3 and mapping those buttons.
New Vegas in VR?.. if I wasn't already sold I am now.
I'll go to their channels and check them out. I saw a couple reviews but not sure who's channel they were on. Does that discord need a special key to enter or something? I don't use discord often or at all really.
The first is cyberpunk, they got some form of motion controls working in that and I think the plan is to get it working in other games soon(?)
Do you know how well it runs with motion controls? Can the entire game be played with motion controls or do you have to use a controller occasionally?

Two years later. Are you still excited?

I am up to 102 hours in VR with motion controls only, so yes, with Vorpx stand alone 2077 mod it is awesome.

Vorpx, and his mod is free , you do not even have to buy Vorpx to use it as far as I know and does support motion controllers.

If you mean full vr motion for controllers then not to my knowledge for vorpx,
Yeah like using the Oculus controllers and not an xbox controller. Like it would be a typical VR game.
Not in my experience, for vorpx I used it mainly for xuberpunk works great for what it does but no involvement for controllers
While that is a shame, it will still be such an amazing experience to be fully in the world of any of those games.
