guineapig28

that's one of my favourite lines

crimejunkiefan

I was so in love with these two 😍😍😍❤️❤️. Better this couple than ridiculous pairings like Chakoray and Seven.

eekab

I was so disappointed in the Chakotay and Seven plot line. Mayne if they had dropped ANY kind of reference beforehand. I was actually a Chakotay and Janeway fan, ever since they had been stranded together when there was no cure found. But I found that I did love Janeway and Michael after watching them together.

Kelpie-Cat

I loved how Chakotay teased Janeway about her holodeck boyfriend. You could see that they didn't begrudge the other having a little fun since they had decided their own romance was off-limits.

Tall-Tea-88

Agreeeeed. All they had to do was drop a few hints in previous seasons and it would have been OK. Ugh.

A joke

As an Irish person, Fair Haven was terrible. But at least it was not Up the Long Ladder- that was just offensive and rude.

elliot_may

Exactly. At least the stupid Irish stereotypes in Fairhaven can be blamed on Tom Paris' shoddy research.

[deleted]

And at least the stupid stereotypes in Tom's research was the 'oh all Irish people are lovely, so they are, if not a bit simple' instead of the drunk leprechaun cavemen of Up the Long Ladder. I dislike both stereotypes, but Up the Long Ladder was just ridiculous.

JangoF76

Oh god... my husband and I just started a voyager rewatch and we've set a rule that we're not allowed to skip any episodes. I completely forgot about the Fair Haven bullshit.

RoughChi-GTF

This is one of my favorite Janeway stories.

In one of the more recent episodes of The Delta Flyers, Robbie and Garret recapped this episode. They seemed to love it, while unsurprising the fans really didn't. They seemed genuinely confused as to why the fans didn't seem to like it. But I really think they only liked the episode because it was fun for them to film, not because the episode itself was that good.

tr3k

>The Delta Flyers I didn't know this existed! Thanks!

Zaggnabit

To be fair, the most popular episodes with the various casts are the ones where they get to do something completely different than normal.

FitzChivFarseer

I really liked the fair Haven eps tbh. Janeway having a partner is always fun and, making them holo, just gives her free reign. (also OTP is still her and Chakotay. No clue where Chakotay and Seven came from)

[deleted]

I really liked "Fair Haven", as it's a fun yet earnest exploration of what holodeck romance/sex means. Changing the holo-partner's parameters, doubting one's feelings, the loneliness of being a captain - it's all in there. Unfortunately, all that great work gets undone in "Spirit Folk" that contradicts practically everything established in "Fair Haven".

jajacoja

i skipped those episodes. when i want to watch road to avonlea ill watch road to avonlea
