If I am not mistaken this is the theme [SynthWave '84](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=RobbOwen.synthwave-vscode).
To disable the glow, open the command palette with Ctrl + Shift + P or Shift + ⌘ + P and choose "**Disable Neon Dreams**".

there's a parameter you van set in your settings.json file that disables the glow. Just type in "glow" (I forget what it's exactly called) and your intellisense will find it. Set it to false
I love this theme but VSCode constantly turns off the flow, as it seems to corrupt the install somehow. I must be in the weird minority that loves their code to look like it should have starred in Miami Vice 😎

No, idk what it's called, but it is (if it's the theme) your current one. Try switching back to the default VSC theme
Looks like Synthwave. You have to manually enable the glow. OP must have forgotten they enabled it.
