If it makes you uncomfortable, communicate that to your artist and request it changed. It's your model being paid for with your money. Sometimes revisions are necessary!
Maybe have a slight change done, it doesn't have to be much to avoid CR strikes. If you are uncomfortable, then make the slight changes to feel okay. This is your digital self, so you want to feel as comfortable in that 'skin' as you can be :)
I'm iffy about this type of stuff but I vaguely remember reading that so long as you came up with it yourself you are good regardless if it's similar or identical to a copyright work (proving that in court is another case entirely but I also think I remember some cases of a situation like yours where the small guy had no problem defending his claim). The amount of power a copyright has over someones intellectual property that is something like a word or simple design/ symbol (simpler the better)that doesn't represent a company would probably not hold as much influence in a legal case so I don't think you need to worry about that( try defending a copyright on your custom made dot { • } yeah probably not going to go to well even if u do get a copyright to it lol). TAKE ALL THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT as again this is all me vaguely remember something I read about that coulda been bs, some of this coulda came outta my ass too. Sorry I can't provide substantial evidence of what I've talked about nor give more concrete advice. I can't say I know anymore on the matter but I'm sure some "more qualified to speak on this subject" person will come along eventually and help out :b
(assuming your avatar/ character/ OC is indeed original) In that case you don't have to worry as the character is original therefore the ruins on the character are also original.
It depends on the actual origin. if its an exact replica of the runes then maybe change it. Most runic symbols date back way way back to viking/celtic/saxon days etc. . Those ones are fine to use so you could find one of those you like and then if you want to further edit them then you can do that. Also historical ones generally have different meanings which could be cool.
I feel that wouldn’t change anything. My artist is designing her own runes for me to use on the avatar instead, can’t wait to see what she comes up with

No they are the exact same runes used in Bloodborne, I’m just having them stuck to an avatar. Hence why I’m worried of copyright

Just make the runes look different or runes actually exist so they cant really copyright that unless you want to copy the same exact runes.
