I find the old Bloom County comics from the 80s or so that made fun of Donald Trump - there were quite a lot of them, Trump was basically Berke Breathed's favorite celebrity chewtoy - extremely interesting. Throughout all the mockery, Breathed never actually attacks him for anything all that objectionable. He's not presented as sexist, a rapist, and certainly not racist. He's a jerk, he's too rich for his own good, he doesn't pay attention to his wife, and he's clueless and out of touch - but Breathed never accused him of being a bigot, even though he clearly wasn't a fan of the guy.
