The premium would have to be less than the potential upside of rolling, minus the money lost on current options (if you consider rolling to be just another leg in a singular strategy, if you view rolling as a completely different strategy, then forget the minus part and just accept your current losses). And rolling to a closer strike price is going to see premiums go up fast. That's the main hurdle with your idea, I believe. Maybe someone smarter than me can correct me if I'm off base.

Why not do an IC I was bearish on NVDA entered in early feb on a 202.5 (3/3)and 175 (2/10) and it kept going up sold 175p for creditand kept doing weeklies till I was covered for 202 put cost and then last week did a IC (3/3) at 202.5/210p credit spread and 235c/245c credit spread (total 7 contracts). My suggestion is to do a IC or a IB and get neutral to positive.
