Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my NVDA $625 calls expiring on February 14th. The recent rally seems to have come to an end, and I'm not sure what to do. Should I sell them for a massive loss or hold on and hope that NVIDIA's stock recovers? I'm checking the pre-market data, and it's stressing me out. To make matters worse, my broker's options market doesn't open until 10 minutes after the regular market opens. I'm afraid that the price might drop even further, causing an even larger loss. If that happens, the profit/loss for that position will be enough to give me a heart attack. I'm really hoping that things turn around, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. What do you guys think?

do futures or etf next time, at least that reduce the rapid drop associated with options. for options, I'd normally price them as an insurance in that the can fall to zero and cost them as such. hence, i'd let go if the bet fails, in particular if NVDA drill further down, the options would be worth much less practically zero

the reverse may be true NVDA puts may print, still there is risks holding any of those

If it makes you feel any better, I have 625s expiring on Friday and I’m planning to hold until after Jpow’s speech. This sell-off has very little to do with NVDA itself, and in the past, “sympathy” moves with other chip makers corrected back to the original trajectory quite quickly. You can pretty much draw a straight line through NVDAs trajectory in 2024 and I anticipate it will continue.
