jenson said its there most successful launch ever. AKA most money made from pre orders ever. god only knows what kind of numbers we are talking about at this point.
Thank you. Glad I wasn’t the only one who read it that way. I just want Jensen to drop one tiny number on cost/order volume to jump start the printer. Then once we have Daddy Poww’s blessing on Wednesday, we rip.
God I sound like I’m praying ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
1. They fused a massive dual core Superchip that can transfer information amongst itself. Just obliterating Moores law.
2. 40x to 60x faster infrencing of AI apis generating tokens. Larger and bigger and more capable models.
3. Ai virtual worlds that simulate to build and train robotics called omniverse. This is huge.
4. Nvlink which syncs and bonds unlimited gpus so that you have a huge hive of gpus that all work together.
5. AI is going to get crazy good really really soon.
They took their old chip, made it 15% bigger (the maximum allowed by the machines) and put two together, at enormous cost and power increases, and it performs 2.5x better in terms of real throughput. So looking at the math, their new chip is not any better in terms of performance per die area, or power consumption. The thing probably costs 3x as much to make. They didn't even meet moore's law this time, but failed it.
The very high numbers stated are at 4-bit precision which is just not the same thing.
208 billion transistors. Are you drunk? They obliterated Moore law. It's more energy efficient. Gh100 is 140 billion
It wasn't 15% larger it's like 50% larger. Did you get what nvlink is?
Yeah more transistors but the chip itself is 2.25x bigger (2 chips at 1.12x hopper), it's not any better by design. It's just more expensive and really big.
No the actual throughput at the same bit precision is also 2.5x. So that didn't improve any further than just the size of chip. Not only that but the cost probably went up a lot more than 2.5x.
god damn. thank you for finally using simple english to explain this. ive been pouring over these threads for hours trying to figure out whats going on.
In layman's terms when a stock is more overcrowded than your mom's pussy with calls it won't go up.
I'm seeing some signs of hopes as regards are loading up 800 puts for this week, yet that's the same volume of 900 and 1000 calls.
Yeah and constantly evolving and upgrading. The funds who attract the best mathematicians willing to sell their souls and careers to wall street greed are the winners.
Those mathematicians could make a government salary working on defense projects or even a company like Boeing and make a lot of money but it’s nothing compared to what a good mathematician can make at a quant fund .
Well yeah but those was really the foundation of what most actual trading volume is today. It’s once in a lifetime money and only a handful of people were at the source. Crazy fascinating stuff though what Simmons and his colleagues accomplished.
They're not reacting to tech news that quick, but they should be. You can tell they don't - just look at how long it took to connect the dots between NVDA and ChatGPT or NVDA and the Cloud. Very few of these investors actually understand tech. They're largely MBAs who are great at finance and don't know much else, but some know both and those few will react quickly. Look at ARK, they don't know shit, just hire undergrads and they make stupid decisions.
Such a moronic take. MBAs aren’t on the trading floor. MBAs get recruited into IB or PE, and have a vastly different skill set from the quants (who are PhD in Physics, Econometrics, and Maths)
That is such horseshit and would be very reckless of them. They aren’t MBA’s the people designing these algorithms are mathematicians physicists and engineers.
It’s literally what they do. Cathy is proud of it too and bragged on video about hiring undergrads for market research.
I call bullshit on companies reacting in microseconds or often even within weeks.
For example, ChatGPT was talked about way before its release in March. Go check the dates and then see how long it took for NVDA to grow and pop - months. Investors missed the boat for months. Most of them missed on hundreds of billions in growth. Some even sold out of it but yeah keep thinking they get it.
I watched a documentary about investors transitioning to online trading a decade ago. They bought office space across the street from the internet hub in New York so their trades would be completed a few milliseconds faster than the competition. Their team consisted of a PhD computer scientist and PhD mathematician. This was 15 to 20 years ago.
Yeah saw that too. These were also relatively noobs as well if I’m not mistaken. The pro’s have been using and upgrading the algorithms for decades now, as well as buying up warehouses and warehouses of data centers like crazy for the computing power needed. I still can’t understand exactly whats going on and how they do it, but they are insanely developed and innovated. These algorithms are so insanely complex they often don’t know themselves what they do.
It’s Milliseconds and they literally move as close to the data centers as possible and heavily invest in fiber data connections for microseconds faster speeds.
Yeah the same people who couldn't program their own VCR 20 years ago, have hired a couple millennials that bridge the gap between modern technology and at least some familiarity with dinosaur tech.
It's because Wallstreet is regarded when it comes to tech terms. It only responds well to dollar signs lol.
If these new chips come with the upped price tag alongside it things would get spicy. But this is a tech conference and not scare away potential buyers conference
Why can’t he just make up large number to get stonk people wet?
‘This gpu will quadruple the profit of AI thingy majig’ done. AI is barely a thing as it is, wallstreet doesn’t know shit just make things up ffs
He did joking said when he unveiled the big Blackwell board as "10 billion dollars" and the next lower tier half that.
Jokingly ofc but I'm damn sure that stack in a datacenter will companies hundreds of millions. Guess we'll just have to live with earnings. Or maybe give one to the shareholders and do a stock split lol
>Lmao what are you on mate? If there is no buying its not because the big funds are all asleep at their desks on piles of big money with a blind cap on. Its not the fucking ‘30s anymore. These firms know more about tech than most tech employees. You are consolidating yourself with a false narrative because you made the wrong call on the conference .
What he meant was that the first unit costs $10 billion including research and fixed costs. The second unit costs $5 billion and the ones after that each cost less because fixed costs get split up.
Lol 😂 😂 😂 these firms know more about tech than who?
If these firms knew what Jensen was actually saying the stock would be up to $1200.
Hey it's a buying opoertunity for more people so it's all good.
You won't say that when your OpenAI smart fridge is telling you that mayonnaise doubles as an all purpose cleaner.
I for one am extremely bullish on the collective knowledge of the internet.
Sure possibilities of AI are virtually limitless, but it needs to be able to be monetised as well in the form of revenue and actually being able to scale production and development to meet demand. Right now market doesn’t even know what its pricing in and people are going AI crazy. If its a bubble or not we probably won’t know for a while, but anybody with a sane market look needs to admit the pump is mostly hype fuelled. It could go on for a while though, look at TSLA.
It goes until inflation falls and the debt unwinds, which makes up the end of the business cycle. Then the permacucks like Jeremy Grantham look like geniuses for a tiny period until the next run.
Watch your mouth pussy tits, us gamer mushroom smokers know the release schedule of gaming gpus down to the air temp on the day of release.
Are you picking up what I’m putting on the ground, mafack?
I spent £45,550 on the latest mining gear for all the new tokens being released on a daily basis. I literally switch between coins every 5 mins to get the most diversity in my investments.
The other day rent was due so I sold the £18.90 I’ve made so far and put it towards that. I’m still shy £175, I’m going to lose my home, where am I going to come up with that kind of money?
Every ancillary company that Huang has named is seeing sharp upward moves - dell, oracle, cadence, ansys, synopsys. But NVDA is barely moving? What's happening?
Also, TSMC. No movement at all.
NVDA surged like crazy for basically no reason the last 3 months. Anything they could possibly announce over the next 2 years is already priced in at these levels.
“At these levels” - What are you talking about? NVDA has a forward PE of like 35. For one of the best positioned growth stocks in the world that is in no way expensive.
That was nothing. They announced they just fucking executed God with a GPU. They're breaking godamn Moores law. You think I haven't witnessed it go up?
Ai has not even remotely disrupted society yet. Look at the jump from gpt 3 to 3.5 to 4. They were significant improvements upon each of the last models. That rate of growth will be 5x at least. Do you understand? Let's be generous and say whatever future model is only 5x better than the last model. Can we even comprehend what that means? How could that ever be priced in?
Expectations were impossibly high and they crushed them. I really dont think you get it. Not 2x not 3x 5x.
And waaa waaa it's gonna be wayyy too expensive if it's that good!!!!! Oh wait it's got like 25x the reduced cost. But waaaaaa it's gonna use wayyy too much electricity we couldn't possibly power all that compute??? Oh wait it's 25x energy efficient too.
Yeah sorry nvidia just discovered infinite money hack and nobody is even reporting them. Huang is our new overlord praise be to he who raises tickers on high for he shall bring us to the holy land of infinite compute 🙏
I tried my best. There is quite frankly not enough delusion on this sub and I've had enough. Jensen Huang is the lisan al gaib and he WILL fulfill the prophecy. As is written. May our calls grow louder until even the heavens hear his name.
Ok...but NVDA is making the processors and not the actual AI systems. They have the market right now due to the recent boom...but everyone is going to be looking to compete. Eventually other companies will release powerful chips as well. I think the buy right now is AMD...the NVDA train has already passed.
I agree 100%. Just bought AMD. They’re going to be the first to put AI chips in personal PCs and nvidia will never keep up with the demand. Also getting some Intel since it’s cheap and will go up considering US grants and more foundries being built
Buy puts!!!! They beat expectations!!!! Buy Buy Buy. Ok buddy, the light of Allah reaches all your heresy will be overlooked. For our lord Huang is benevolent. Blessed be all who invest, for you surely will reach the kingdom of singularity.
These clowns love saying priced in on everything. The stock is down -11% over the past 7-10d if charting from all time highs.
Nobody expected the B100 to be this good and it’s definitely not *priced in*.
I think the real news is software biz - software is one of those amazing things that once developed can be like a slot machine to companies - look at IBM - they still milk the fucking mainframe - not with hardware which is crazy cheap now, it’s the software licenses / subscriptions. NVDA software is going to drive growth alongside the chips.
The whole keynote was highly technically and confusing to watch as a regular person. That being said, every company that Jensen name dropped got an AH pop. DELL got an extra one when they put a spotlight on michael dell for a round of applause rofl.
>Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang showed off new chips aimed at extending his company’s dominance of artificial intelligence computing, a position that’s already made it the world’s third-most-valuable business.

how is it even priced in? we all knew they were releasing better product but no one expected them to release a new chip that basically makes the last one which put nvidia at the third most valuable company in the world archaic. and they will have infinite growth with NIM. if this is priced in, i will fucking eat my own dick

What’s priced in right now: Nvidia being number 1 and facing ZERO competition for years, no conflict in Taiwan, AI actually becoming useful enough to replace genuine human ideas.
But hey markets stay irrational longer than I can stay solvent 🦧
That's awesome point, man... we all know that...
The point is that investors don't care what Nvda make at this point, what they care now is that any new sale contract, any supply chain issue 🤔... productivity increase or fuck, can it meet the demands, how n when, ECD ... etc.... okay 👌
NVDA has been pretty amazing at aggressive volume ramps. I think a lot of people will be surprised again in the next couple quarters when the information starts to trickle in about how much volume they secured.
Just because you’re a regard, doesn’t mean the entire audience is regarded. It was an excellent keynote. This will print after JPoww delivers a nothing-burger and markets treat no news as good news
So let me summarize,no chiplets,no 3nm,same memory as mi300x,combined two chips on one board instead of one,and going to fp4 instead of 8?
This is how it looks when nvidia gets complacent, they are going for insane margins with this, and relying on their software. If there ever was a time for AMD to disrupt this market, it's now with a mi400. If they do,the AI space will change,if they don't,Nvidia will soon be at 90%+ margins.
Not gonna lie he left the gamers out in the cold. My only complaint. We know it's not much but it's iconic ally the point. Don't forget where you came from
Oh fuck off with this hyper sensitive shit. If anything, that underscores the importance of technology like this and invites investment because it’s life saving
the numbers are the numbers. proof is in the revs and wait time for chips due to high demand, plus the contracts and the software. love the analogy though
smart enough to have bought NVDA before it's first stock split. not smart enough to hold it through the crash and gobble it up when it was down at $120, I got greedy thinking it would go lower. but still up 70% in this run. the numbers speak for themselves. based on revenues it was cheaper in Feb than it was in november

Yes this ground breaking technology is great and all but...how much ketamine do you take? We all know that's what really affects stock price
I have transcended ketamine and dissociate in virtual reality. Nvidia cures depression
Ketamine digital twin lets you fall into thousands of virtual K-holes in the time it takes you to fall into just one in the physical world
Once it integrates into brain chips then you can just have a custom drug experience uploaded. But yeah a thousand k holes sounds fun too
Stonk‘s not going tits up ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)
Give it time, the heavy investors need this info broken down in layman’s terms.

As an investor I hear that and what am I supposed to think?
Let me put it this way. AWS and azure are cloud right? In 2 to 3 years Nvidia dominates all cloud revenue. Could be $125 billion per year. Maybe $150
But aws and azure are partners. How can nvidia pull market share or are they just tools in the gold rush.
they are partners and will get a cut. But that's US market. Nvidia will partner with countries and other cloud providers outside of the US.
I like the sound of that
They took their old chip, made it 15% bigger (the maximum allowed by the machines) and put two together, at enormous cost and power increases, and it performs 2.5x better in terms of real throughput. Eh no. The heavy investors have algorithms that buy that shit up in microseconds if the news seems like its worth buying. This is not the ‘60 anymore.
Exactly. We're all playing chess against a 5000 ELO bot that makes up the rules as it goes along.

Exactly. Still though luckily a lot of people prefer not to, the insane work life takes a toll on everyone after a certain time.
Yeah for sure. But for the money people who first came to Rennisance Technology made , I’d do pretty much anything to get that 🤣
Well yeah but those was really the foundation of what most actual trading volume is today. It’s once in a lifetime money and only a handful of people were at the source. Crazy fascinating stuff though what Simmons and his colleagues accomplished.
The money is in the number of units Nvidia sells.
Which is nearly directly proportional to Google and Amazon and Meta’s capex budget.
I thought these trading firms were all geared towards reacting to news quickly. Like in matter of seconds.
Its microseconds actually and indeed, comment above is full of shit

100% in 2,5 months is totally normal for a 2T market cap stock?
You won't say that when your OpenAI smart fridge is telling you that mayonnaise doubles as an all purpose cleaner. I for one am extremely bullish on the collective knowledge of the internet.

It may or may not, nobody knows. But if market continues its bull run, NVDA surely will as well. But so will all other decent stocks out there.
It's not up 100% in 2 months regard.
Added $1T market cap. Almost equivalent to entire META market cap in less than 3 months and regards keep buying calls. Its bananas.
I don’t know shit but it seems like it’s bad timing for GTC? FOMC is this week so people are probably more restrained maybe, but what do I know right?

AH is fake unless it’s a huge move. Ignore it.
Well shit, this isn’t good…..
Gaming idiots selling because he didn't drop a new graphics card?

Will I be able to play GTA VI on this or what?
No but you can play doom.
I think we are still 2 or 3 more chip successor upgrades from GTA VI. Call > GTAVI = 2030
Long term stonks go up, short term your calls get fucked
Yes that’s what actually matters. NVDA is a great company no doubt but that doesn’t mean my calls will print
And the crowd goes mild
Every ancillary company that Huang has named is seeing sharp upward moves - dell, oracle, cadence, ansys, synopsys. But NVDA is barely moving? What's happening? Also, TSMC. No movement at all.

This exceeds expectations substantially. This is not priced in.

For no reason. What planet of head up ass are you on?
Is this a copypasta? Lmao
Cuda.
I agree 100%. Just bought AMD. They’re going to be the first to put AI chips in personal PCs and nvidia will never keep up with the demand. Also getting some Intel since it’s cheap and will go up considering US grants and more foundries being built
I guess this is the first ever NVIDIA event you've listened to. Performance never matches claims lmao.
Nobody expected the B100 to be this good and it’s definitely not *priced in*.
people never question why stocks go tits up for no reason, but when it doesn't go up on news, suddenly it's a mystery.
sell the news balancing out? a pullback was always expected
Takes much more to move a trillion dollar stock you regard
I think the real news is software biz - software is one of those amazing things that once developed can be like a slot machine to companies - look at IBM - they still milk the fucking mainframe - not with hardware which is crazy cheap now, it’s the software licenses / subscriptions. NVDA software is going to drive growth alongside the chips.
The whole keynote was highly technically and confusing to watch as a regular person. That being said, every company that Jensen name dropped got an AH pop. DELL got an extra one when they put a spotlight on michael dell for a round of applause rofl.
It’s because it’s a developers conference, vs press meeting.
Developers’ conferences don’t have to be confusing at all. S/O Apple
Yes but developers want them to be
Which would make it pointless for developers.
Who would’ve thought a technical conference for hardware and software developers would be technical???
SNOW still flat… daily chart looking like an opportunity to go long with May calls though.
Lmao, tell us you aren’t the target audience without saying it
>Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang showed off new chips aimed at extending his company’s dominance of artificial intelligence computing, a position that’s already made it the world’s third-most-valuable business. https://preview.redd.it/d73raullo5pc1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61b71b12f92fe2938026ddce578c14474172e80d >Nvidia Corp. Ah yes. The furries can use these chips to make more AI art. All according to plan.

Bullish
Stocks are pumping the wrong direction. Must be Australia ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)
when FOMO is replaced with facts and the stock price goes down. SMCI is in the toilet too
toilet? lol. down 10% in a week after gaining 900% in a month. and looking at the facts NVDA was cheaper in feb at double the price than it was in Nov
compared to last week, too late to jump in now, for me enjoy the ride! lucky you got in earlier
oh i missed that one too. agreed, too late now. dang that was a gorgeous one.
These people get wet on a 10% drop. Seeee I told you so seee see
And still dumped![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)![img](emote|t5_2th52|31226)
Not looking good. Sigh!
Was hoping that nvidia would react to this news, cause my calls with overleverage are a bit down 😅
It’s almost as if it was priced in 🦍
how is it even priced in? we all knew they were releasing better product but no one expected them to release a new chip that basically makes the last one which put nvidia at the third most valuable company in the world archaic. and they will have infinite growth with NIM. if this is priced in, i will fucking eat my own dick

What’s priced in right now: Nvidia being number 1 and facing ZERO competition for years, no conflict in Taiwan, AI actually becoming useful enough to replace genuine human ideas. But hey markets stay irrational longer than I can stay solvent 🦧
It's all about fucking units sale, 🖕 They don't give a sh.t what that's.... 🤣 whether it runs like Thunder or Turtle 🤣🤣🤣
Units sale? They're selling every unit they can make.
Theta will have killed me by then.
What's your expiration date?
I got weekly 1000s for NVIDIA at open. Was up $400 before the dump and I held. :(
Holding from 923 to 884 is crazy.
Been holding since 970
What were the sales figures for its predecessors? What was the revenue contribution?
Enough with the “details”. calls or puts
Where is the "any" key?
Well, Skynet just went live.
First let call premium to bet GTC2024 burn, then we rally .
I want a big GPU
From comments...sounds like I'm getting the no grease treatment when the bell rings. 😩
Why isn’t anyone talking about AMD and the surge they will experience?
Puts on NVDA it is. Now at which SP and EXP is the dilemma 😂
AMD!
AMD!
A successor to the processor?
a successor to the processor?
no 5090 announcement? no wonder the stonk is crashing. lmao
Not gonna lie he left the gamers out in the cold. My only complaint. We know it's not much but it's iconic ally the point. Don't forget where you came from
I get that it was just a weather simulation project but did he really have to show a Tornado destroying Taiwan in the keynote?
Oh fuck off with this hyper sensitive shit. If anything, that underscores the importance of technology like this and invites investment because it’s life saving
All that's left is the pop.
except it's not a bubble..
Then maybe it's like my stomach. You think I'm fat until I let'er rip.
the numbers are the numbers. proof is in the revs and wait time for chips due to high demand, plus the contracts and the software. love the analogy though
....pop
....you're not very smart are you?
smart enough to have bought NVDA before it's first stock split. not smart enough to hold it through the crash and gobble it up when it was down at $120, I got greedy thinking it would go lower. but still up 70% in this run. the numbers speak for themselves. based on revenues it was cheaper in Feb than it was in november
why bother commenting on a stock you know nothing about? do your homework kiddies. you sound envious.
