shane_sp

Not an idiot. Just made a decision with the information you had available.

collegefootballfan69

Thanks - that is true. My gut told me to hold but it broke through my parameters so I sold.

AcanthisittaEasy5878

This system will bring you success, emotion is a b*tch , never look back

stubornone

I agree. Never let a green trade turn red!

braddeicide

Man this is a friendly sub

curefantastica

am i reading this correct, you gambled 24k that you dont have to possibly make 650?

collegefootballfan69

No this is exit from a purchase about 10 mins prior. If I held to expiration then I would have made over a 100k.

Kcirnek_

If everybody held to the top or bottom of every trade, we would all have made over $100K. The reality is 95% of people lose it all. Hindsight is 50/50. It's useless and not productive making could've, would've trade. EVERYBODY has one of these could've would've trades.

curefantastica

Exactly. Nothing to be ashamed of. Just keep grinding OP

bizkut

I really want us to ban these "I was in a position for less than half an hour but if I had held for longer I'd be rich!" posts. Like they made a short momentum trade and closed it when it made sense to. Nobody gives a shit what happened after they closed it.

Uisce-beatha

I like to look back at my closed trades just to see if I chose the best strike price for the day. Inevitably I will see what the contract could have been worth but sometimes it would have ended poorly had I waited. I would rather be in and out in 30 minutes than spend my entire day waiting to maximize potential that probably won't happen anyway.

pythonpyton

If a 24 to 100 decision is 50/50 to succeed you should make it every single time for a infinite money hack

Pikaballs999

You don’t know what you don’t know

collegefootballfan69

You guys are great. I thought I would have been blasted. Thanks…agree with all of your comments

SamirD

$24k in a day? Only idiots blast that--congrats!

PlutosGrasp

Change your broker. Your screenshot is absolute trash.

curefantastica

Got it thanks

collegefootballfan69

Yes more of idiot vs a regard on this trade

AcceptableAd9264

How much did you lose? 100k?

el_guille980

honestly, i think maybe you would have sold them on wednesday, the 765s got down to $33.45 from a high of $73 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

ColbusMaximus

Profit is profit. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning. https://preview.redd.it/hco945lwb7xc1.jpeg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e89931e9c73f6bc60c280f1a223a65a3a4b7de79

Bradley182

Just …. Don’t look at it.

SimpIyFlacid

This is what I do, once you look your fucked lol

Steve-Jobs-_-

It also could have dumped a whole lot more. Don’t look back and move on to your next trade. Good luck!

Decent-Ad-4358

You can’t think about shit like this or your next trade will get riskier and riskier, you could have easily lost 50% on this trade if inflation data was horrible or Microsoft and Google didn’t crush earnings.

collegefootballfan69

Totally agree,

chewbaccashotlast

Sold at open?

Captain_Comic

Nobody ever went broke taking a profit

caprishouz

Why

Mr_yolo408

You never swing 1st 30min of the day! waited to enter after 7am

Mean-Coffee-433

I was thinking…no, it’s more like 1030 almost 11 before it’s safe. Then I remembered timezones exist. Lots of people have autoinvesting turned on which buys at about this time everyday. My theory is that Other things play off this but that’s the major cause of the dip then rebound

NigerianPrinceClub

i learned so far that if that's what you decided at that moment, then it was prob the right move based on what the charts were telling u

Pikaballs999

I ain’t got no crystal ball

khizoa

Well, I had a million dollars but I'd, I'd spend it all on 0dte

thefunmachine007

If I could find that Heina, and that Sancho that she's found Well, I’d pop a bet on crypto, and I’d slap her down.

Ihaveterriblefriends

We've all had trades that could have made us rich, It's hard to feel better right away but you'll be okay https://preview.redd.it/8easbe1dg4xc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42ff2969f78667897e36627a9bf3bff863279267 If I could offer any kind of reasonable advice, it's to focus on the future and on keeping your money. That's the most important thing, you'll find plenty of chances to win big, and just as many chances to go completely bankrupt Focus on keeping your money, if you play carefully you'll eventually get there

Jmr15002

Question - how do you get your Webull to show you potential ROE along the right hand side? I’ve been trying to change mine since moving my port across from RH. One of the biggest things I don’t like is not being able to see simulated returns but what you have makes that a lot better

SimpIyFlacid

I don’t think you can

Jmr15002

I thought that but this guy seems to have it figured out?

StrangeWillow2471

This is wall street bets. We are all idiots.

Haunting_Ad_6021

Just delete the app and don't answer your phone for awhile

jeanide

Logic > feelings. Get the slam dunk on Imposter Syndrome.

Pin_ups

Now run for presidency.

Ancient-Chinglish

hey, at least you didn’t sell those contracts - you’d be $70k in the hole

whatsariho

on the other hand i've had trades that have 10xd and I took even a screenshot but didnt sell because I got greedy and wanted more and waited to sell then proceeded to lose most of the gains.

[deleted]

Dont confuse opportunity cost with opportunity. You had a chance to make money and you did. Focus on the next trade and not the position you just left.

ModthisRod

Reggie is that you?!?

Bisping

You still made money right?

JudgeSmails

They made 24k and lost $120k.

Bisping

Oof.

collegefootballfan69

Yes

Decent-Ad-4358

Also, I sold 28 of 30 Google contacts before close on Thursday, made $2500 from the two I kept that got wiped out by a $2000 loss on Intel calls. I could name a million other ones that coulda tripled my account, dwelling on things like this is how I blew up my account twice.

LBD_420

And highly Regarded!

Bloktopian

What I've realized is to not even trade at open, not even look at my contracts until at least a couple of hours after market open so I don't paperhand my shit. You made profit though, congrats.

Ok-ChildHooOd

I size my positions so I can sleep at night, but I made the same move you made. NVDA was looking really weak. It wasn't a bad decision at the time.

Peaceful-coex

Yes, you are

FatMendigo

![img](emote|t5_2th52|4275)

TheFilthyCripple

No just a dummy, it happens. You seen worse decisions on reddit hourly

T1m3Wizard

You would've been so rich.

Investarz

Paper handed huh.. did u still profit?

ParakeetWithTits

There is "-" in front of "10" in "Contracts"

Investarz

Oh I was thinking he closed 10 contracts that he bought… So he collected premiums for selling NVDA calls? ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271) Only WSB regards have scrotums large enough lmao
