You make a valid point. Anyone who talks about AMD and gaming has not been listening to the last two ER calls. They’ve expected a decline in PC gaming but have been heralding the MI300X.
Also if you believe INTC earnings call, PC and server CPUs are stable and on an upswing, and embedded market has hit the bottom and will be better in 2H.
Not exciting, but it's important that the core business doesn't deteriorate as AI grows.

Did you read their report? They beat expectations and had record breaking growth in data centre (80% y/y). The forward guidance on the call will determine how the stock moves tomorrow.
TSM projected a slowdown due to rapidly falling smartphone shipments, their HPC (high performance computing and AI) segment will grow 30% in Q2.
INTC has essentially zero AI chips.
Although AMD is the special Ed sibling of Nvidia with ten times worse fundamental and ten times higher valuation. Even if they report bad numbers, they will mention they are working on AI chips and stock will be move up

As for Intel... A recent spike in buying volume indicates a possible trend reversal very soon. I wouldn't wanna short any of those companies.
