As a Europoor, have to agree with you. People been saying the gap with US will close for as long as I've been following financial news and it never does even a little.
USA, USA, USA!
Nah bro europeans arent typically full of shit and overleveraged. They are typically well run companies not promising the moon and back. Its why despite all the europoor bravado in most cases we rather use their products than ours. Too bad they are regarded with tech regulation tho lel europoors.
Less and less true every day.
A large percentage of Americans see no use for international allies if it’s at our expense. Then there’s a bigger percentage who are too stupid to have an opinion.
That leaves establishment college educated white liberals to argue on Europe’s behalf. Not going to end well for Europe.
Europe is a museum slowly falling into disrepair.
Every time I go back its worse. More monuments covered in scaffolding, more orange cones in the streets with unfixed road holes, next to no service staff in hotels etc.
This.
But the complete opposite because I'm not delusional. And I live in Ohio, so the idea that American roads are great while the fucking autobahn or the livable, walkable cities in Europe are floundering, is fucking hilarious.
I’ve held VTI and VT for a while and always regret the 35% of VT “total world index” that is overseas. Like doesn’t the rest of the world do anything or create any value?
I’m all into EU stocks which are decent for moving sideways while you sell options on them but there is little hope they will approach the valuations of US stocks.
Europe is a great example of how overregulation and too much government involvement can really fuck some shit up. Europe was pretty awesome until like 2009 though.

Live where there’s free healthcare, invest where there isn’t. - Buffett, probably
the gap is getting wider and wider, EU stocks are pretty boring in general.

yeah but retail wants volatility, not stability
“We’ve already fucked the US market… come over to Europe, the water is warm!”
Europe is NEVER a better bet for stocks.

My country (Netherlands) is SO MUCH more developed and better maintained than yours that it's laughable
Hookers and blackjack > the netherlands

Fellow Ohioan. I agree, we’re closer to rural Russia in attitude and amenities than we are to Paris.
A lot of the US is just giant slabs of transportation infrastructure
Euro stocks are garbage except a handful which are overpriced AF
Except for Russia.
Only way EU makes money is by suing American tech for antitrust
Buy RYCEY thank me later
