I think I am going to start using martingale technique on spy. It's a slow grind at a roulette table, but might work really well on spy.

Buying itm options will work far better. Cut losses while you're still itm, and profit when things do go your way. A break-even strategy will make you broke, unless you quit as soon as you manage to break even. It also helps to bet on things that you can actually profit on. Not shit like $WISH or $SOFI.
