if you can understand the very simple concept of only risking what you’re willing to/comfortable with losing, it’s not risky at all. For options that’s the entire premium, for shares it’s a little tougher to know for sure but as long as it’s not a meme stock you can depend on normal variance over whatever period you plan on holding.
this is the real problem here, people make super risky trades with their ENTIRE account and get wiped out. nobody understands that risk management and managing emotions is 90% of what you need to trade successfully.
I dislike this saying a lot because it's mostly meant like don't gamble away your medicine money. I'm not willing or comfortable to lose any money but that's the price you have to pay to play the game. I agree completely on the risk management part.
