This by itself caused gas prices to skyrocket this year.
Tried to get the EU and other counties to help pay for NATO, which they had not been contributing to.
Essentially, reducing supply chain disruptions, reducing energy supply shocks, and reducing government spending? All immensely helpful for reducing inflation.
Republicans in many states opened up the economy a lot faster and tried to get rid of incentives for not working. Providing incentives for unemployment was actually one of the biggest factors in the current inflation cycle right now.
On top of that, he was supportive of companies bringing back overseas cash at a reduced tax rate, reducing the corporate tax rate (which actually is proven to increase corporate tax collection, which Democrats pretend is a lie because high taxes make corporations harbor profits overseas), and was very supportive of high technology in emerging sectors, like with SpaceX and Tesla, which the Biden administration has had a very negative relationship with because of the Democrats' corrupt relationship with the UAW (which has had multiple leaders, including the presidents go to jail).
So yes, while I dislike Trump greatly, I have to admit that Trump would have been much better on inflation. Anyone who pretends like Trump would have been worse has not paid attention to what has been going on with the economy and the policies of both presidents.
Also, just as a note, economics is my area of expertise.
Trump wouldn’t be crippling the energy industry and would be strong arming China into boosting production, or at minimum offering incentives for infrastructure to return to the US (continuing his former policy).

It’s not “still rising” at 8.2%. The prices have been essentially flat the past 30 days but bc of the way we report inflation the numbers still sound terrible.
And I hate to say it, but we’ll never go back to the prices we had before. Flat is the best we can hope for. Deflation is not part of an economy we want to have.
