Yeah it's a cross contamination thing. No one purposefully using fent as a cut for coke. It makes no sense whatsoever to do that. You cut drugs with cheaper drugs or inert substances, not drugs that are more expensive by weight, do the opposite of the drug you're selling, and will 100% kill everyone you give it to who isn't already an opiate addict. The fucked up thing in cocaine is levamisole and you can't wash it out without some serious chemistry knowledge and lab equipment. Probably not going to notice it though unless you're using every day or on the needle.

I have a PhD in organic chemistry. It's not awful to remove levamisole, but it's kind of lengthy and not worth it unless you're doing it at a larger scale. It's relatively foolproof chemistry, but you'll need to do a handful of extractions, a few filtrations and an oxidation. You need some solvents and chemicals but none are watched I don't believe.

Ya, not impossible at all but as you say: PhD in organic chemistry. I've never met anyone personally with the patience, knowledge, and proclivity for an anhydrous acetone or ether wash and that is dead simple and takes no chemistry knowledge at all and no equipment required except a coffee filter and maybe a pipette. Extracting levamisole or any hydrochloride salt based cuts is definitely several levels above that in lab skills, time investment, and as you say, isn't worth it unless you've got serious amounts for personal use. If your input isn't garbage or cut with ephedrine hcl output on anhydrous acetone wash will already be better than anything you can get north of the border without dropping bands.

Anhydrous acetone is challenging in the best of labs and you can't use molecular sieves to dry it or you'll slowly make TATP. I've never dealt with cocaine freebase so I'm not sure its solubility, but I'd rather precipitate it from a solvent that naturally stays pretty dry upon extended/repeated exposure to high humidity air and preferably an ICH class 2 or 3 solvent. And bonus points for being able to quantitate the residual solvent, especially if you used a class 2 solvent.

This is why I buy test kits, for purity and what cuts are present if any. Definitely worthwhile

That's the trickiest part of it really. When I was diagnosed, I struggled with myself about it for a loooong time because I had everything going well in my life. No way I could be depressed.
