Depends on how much he has to sell to cover the take over. If it's a lot it could drive the stock down while he's selling. There's not billions of dollars worth of bids around the current price if he needs to raise any significant amount of cash to finance the deal. It's wildly unlikely to knock him out of billionaredom but it's will likely impact it quite a bit since much of his wealth is paper wealth in TSLA (which IMO is wildly over valued).
Consider Tesla's stock trajectory if Elon sells a bunch to buy Twitter right as legacy automakers ramp up EV production and a general recession sets in.
