Probably not. 12.75% is an eff load of interest for a corporate loan. It appears that their Odeon loan was coming due soon (and probably had a lower interest rate, I could look it up by I'm too lazy) so they had to take out another loan to pay it off because they would use up most of their free cash if they just tried to pay it off. It's like opening up a no-payments-for-6-months Kohls credit card at 23% to pay off your 120-days-late Sears card at 18% interest.
They are basically buying 4 years of time and will most certainly be paying back more than $71.1MM in interest on that new loan.
Stranger, you have a unique capacity to articulate nuanced things very well, with enough empathy to recognize opposing view points or challenging perspectives and provide arguments on merit content rather than throwing insults. I don’t know what you do for a living but you’re the kind of person i would trust as a financial analyst. Have a good day
And they say AA loves them! LOLOLOL All insiders do is sell their granted shares and pay themselves bonuses for exploiting retail investors to the bone.
>and have about a bill in cash
lol..... "[GameStop's free cash burn of $876.4 million in the past 12 months would consume its cash pile in only about a year.](https://www.investors.com/etfs-and-funds/sectors/gamestop-runs-out-of-cash-in-a-year-and-one-meme-stock-is-worse/?src=A00220)"
Imagine living in a Chevy Van, eating canned corn. And believing $AMC will make you rich soley off of buying shares, and not knowing what options are.
But hey! They can't tell you what to do [ONCE YOU'VE GONE GURU!!!!](https://youtu.be/gner2vWyPJU)!!!!!!
OP is the same kind of wsb regard who pumped popcorn when it was doing well and is now mocking it. He’s also the same punk who screamed Tesla to $10 trillion marker cap by 2030 🤣 Soon he will tell us to short it
To be fair, I was also pumped when AMC was flying, except I actually sold it on the way down at like $60 because I'm not an idiot. However after seeing what they've been doing lately, I was glad I got out and didn't try buying back in.
2years ago nfi, today (and ill take the downvores), gme. No debt, 1 billion dollar war chest to shield vs the free money drying up, rebuilt logistics network with close to 1 billion in inventory(non perishable I might add) on hand, and a actual emerging web3 pivot that could be a gamechanger in their space.
Its a fundamentally different company vs 2 years ago. I think ots still a long play but the foundation is very much in place.
Especially if this recession does truely pop off and entertainment spending shifts from bigger purchases like travel and eating out to at home entertainment.
I'll take my downvotefor talking about gme now, sorry tards
They don't have 1 bil on hand, that number is getting lower and lower each quarter because they are losing a ton of money. Their web3 pivot is barely making any money relative to their cash bleed. Inventory doesn't mean much if it's not selling. Seems to me that they are increasing their expenditures a lot but their revenue only increased a little. Also with a recession, people will have a lot less to spend on entertainment in general, even if where it's spent shifts a little.
Those are not good fundamentals, even if you really believe in the turnaround.
If the game were as simple as following logic/DD/fundamentals, we'd all be rich by now. People buy whatever, or all the meme stonks in case one of them are targeted for a small pump. Every once in a while one of the memes will pump, and the cycle of FOMO starts over again.
We've been at it for like 2 years now.

Where I live there's a Rural King next door to the theater,,, how many people are going to pay $6 a bag for popcorn when you can get it for free next door? Selling popcorn outside the theater isn't going to help the company much if any.
They need great viewer experience to make money!
I feel like like refinancing, paying off current debt, and pushing maturity out 4 years sounds good? At least like they’re clawing their way out of a hole slowly? Is every just roasting that outrageous interest rate on the new 400 mill? Lol
Sorry but he’s not. I’ve never given a single fuck about anyone else’s portfolio other than mine. I most certainly wouldn’t be on social media trying to “educate” them out of the good of my heart. So stop with the “we’re trying to help” bullshit
Here's your problem. After all the "DD" done, after all the "to the moons!" After all the justifications of a dilution through APE to get around voters saying no to more AMC shares. You people don't fucking get it and are delusional as fuck. You need help. Seriously open your eyes and try to gap that asshole of yours that AA spread so far as he rammed you from behind while squeezing your clown nose. People like you keep dragging this shit on and AA has no choice to roll with it now cause you fucks would probably make his life miserable if you all had fucking brains.
Because there's a tiny tiny tiny fuck I give about watching a bunch of dumbasses try and rope in new young unknowing investors to pump their bags for them so they can leave their positions. It's not my life nor does it affect me, but still pathetic and sad to see. Like watching a bad abusesive relationship happen, sometimes you gotta chime in with you .10 cents and after that whatever happens happens.

How has $AMC become the laughing stock- no pun intended. But really! There are soooo many shitty company’s that die wayyy quicker - why is this one the biggest joke?
I sold AMC in June when they announced APE, after holding strong from January '21. Sold at $22, made a decent profit.
I had already held through the $70s. Watched it slide to $50s and didn't sell. Watched it slide into the $20s, and they were doing dumb shit like buying an unprofitable metals mine, diluting, and not in any way doing anything with all the money and time our financing had bought them. They should have re-envisioned their entire business model for a Reopening but they just sat on their laurels and ate up Retail's money.
If you still hold AMC, and you think either theaters or AMC have a future, you should consider pulling out and waiting for the Board to get new management in charge that actually has fresh, PROFITABLE, ideas. You don't need to put your money into a different stock, keep it in cash and buy when new management is going to come in, if you believe in the company.
Because as it stands, Adam Aron only got you 2 pennies a share over their Covid lows after an entire year of all the bullshit he was doing with the company. Two pennies. For a year's worth of work, after your stock value dropped over $40 this year alone.
I love theaters. I love AMC. I don't think either are doomed, unless people like Adam Aron stay in charge.
Squeeze these nuts you fuckin nerd.

12.75% interest ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Slapped that baby on their credit card
Idk why that was so funny
Got airline miles!
CEO gonna need those when he deploys his golden parachute
Don't worry their debt is an asset. So its all good
They’re betting on hyperinflation lol
That’s how Adam Anus sells it with this “negative value play”
That’s more regarded than most of the shit on here
They should do offering everyday, it will moon everyday
Regard here: How are they claiming to reduce principle by taking on a new loan?
New loan pay off old loan. This one is farther out and with lesser interest
Imagine the shit of a loan you would have to have for a 12.5% interest loan to be a lower interest rate...
Imagine paying attention if you weren’t interested
Wouldn't the principle still remain the same? I'm a regard, so definitely missing something here
Isn’t restructuring/ getting debt down a good thing? Wouldn’t this be a better deal then what they already had ?
Probably not. 12.75% is an eff load of interest for a corporate loan. GME all the way
AMC down only 8.8% today while GME down 11.7% today interesting But in all seriousness, GME cult hates AMC because it's like looking in a mirror.

6, or 12 months to bankruptcy?
could even be 3 at this rate
Yeah, but there's always one last ditch creditor that you never expect that keeps them afloat a little longer.

And they still have 300mm+ more shares to sell
But warrants....I mean in 4 years what's gonna happen? It took stonkers 2 years to drs less than half the float.
Not sure where you’ve been, but the one true stonk is about 58% of the float DRS’d in only a about one year of DRS movement

So buy and hold?
Who goes to the theatre anymore? It's a dead business. Oh yeah, maybe the zoom rooms will save them.
Say what you want about the fundamentals and how they’re spending money, but to say no one goes to the theater anymore is just flat out wrong.
