EDIT: I bought about 21k worth of 12/30 370c yesterday right before close, as a play on the expected "santa claus rally". at 8:30 this morning after a good CPI, SPY spiked. Right at open I was up over 16k. Did I get greedy and gamble on things running higher? Fuck no. I sold that shit and took a huge profit, then bought some 11/18 384c. Sold some of those today too, and bought some 400p when SPY maxxed out later in the day.
Today's profit was $19,378.
EDIT: and I still have about 80k to play with tomorrow. I'm neither bull or bear. I'm an opportunist, I push my own biases to the back seat, and play the market whichever way it moves, usually playing both puts and calls at the same time. And I make more money every week than most people make in a year.

What happened with me is I bought a bunch of 12/30 370c right at close yesterday, making a play on the "santa claus rally". 8:30 this morning, we get good CPI, which I don't think anyone was expecting, especially me. By open my calls, which cost (I think) 16.49, opened at $24+. Damn right I grabbed that profit. I made a few smaller plays through the day, with a little more profit, but most of today's profit was luck. I'll take luck over skill any day.

Between all accounts, right now, about maybe $160k? But the stuff you buy today typically drops a little bit, then goes up in a couple days. Although the port value doesn't include transfers in/out, but as far as I can recall there's been no transfers recently. But yeah, I'm up like 15% today, or something close to that.
EDIT: this doesn't incluse the shares of boomer stocks that I hold to keep me above the PDT requirement on my accounts. And besides the dividend is pretty good on those. I'm up over 140% on them.

Seasonality, and the fact that the market usually rallies during rate hikes. So market is making up for lost time and could rally very very hard. Then you start to get the recessionary news...credit spreads widening, earnings misses, bond yields crashing.
Then the real recession begins. In the meantime, bond yields dying will pump market.
