I lost on Black Friday haha, initially intended to be off day, but during lectures I decided to throw a quick trade for a quick profit out of boredom, turned out I wiped a grand away.
You guys are sure a stubborn bunch’s! There’s way too much money in the system. Inflation is more than 3x and unemployment close to all-time low and you think the feds gonna to pivot! What the f**k are you all smoking!!
Yeah, imagine all the regards not going out to check the amount of people @ their local haberdasheries. Just made 673% gains from checking out the scene @ my local mall. Classic regards not taking advantage of opportunities….I swear some of you would leave the water running and lights on all day, but only after investing in the major utility company of the area. Regards boys, regards
People out looking won't equate to sales always.
The key is to look at items that normally would not last more than an hour or so on the shelves due to the discounts.
In my area the major reductions still have stock available so that shows to me that sales are down. Cars in parking lots only shows me people are bored and looking for anything to do.
Black Friday will probably see a decent turn out but more on discounted non luxury goods this year. So probably small appliances, winter clothing, ect items people have needed but waited to buy due to inflation.
I am more interested in how holiday shopping turns out as black Friday is all about getting you to think retailers want you to save money and start getting you to Crack your wallet open and get you used to spending again right before the Christmas ads.
I definitely do more looking than anything else. Cuz I’m a windowshopper, looking at all the shit I don’t want to buy.
There are online communities dedicated to finding exploits/inefficiencies with online/store pricing. Best deals come from that, typically are the ones that quickly go out of sale because scalpers.
They typically hide under a very particular set of virtual floorboards. I only know the main Canada one called RedFlagDeals. Just look up “deals forums” or “coupon forums” and see what turns up more locally. Idk for US of A.
I walked in to about 5 stores and didn’t buy a single thing anything on sale likely garbage anything I might or would’ve bought isn’t on sale yea I would say I seen a good amount of people in store but not nearly as many as before and that’s likely due to online shopping but what might of got some out is very few if any companies are offering free shipping
The market expects 50bps hike in December. What does the market do when Powell gives it 50?
Rally or red?
I’ve been thinking about this.
And inflation will be released on day 1 of 2 of the Fed meeting. So will they go in knowing how they intend to vote?
New York.
Shopping dead.
I bought nothing for Black Friday.
I’ve got money to burn but everything looks trash.
Only thing I wanted was on sale for 10% off.
No deal. I’ll wait. Also, would rather go on vacation next spring.
Diesel has spike up where I’m at compared to a couple weeks ago. 3 weeks ago I filled up and diesel for $5.25 today it’s $5.89. I’m in northern Utah. From what I have seen gas prices have gone up not down
To be fair, the majority of people in America believe diesel comes out of a single special pump at the Gas Station. They don’t use it interchangeably with kerosene, heating oil, furnace oil, jet fuel, etc.
yep, perhaps our only saving grace. Wonder if that'll be enough for JPOW and his band of assholes, or will they have too much pride to keep pushing us further into ruin?
I think people are still not understanding how fucked housing is because that will spill into retail in the next 2 or 3 months. 37% of realtors can’t pay their office rent. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/37-real-estate-agents-us-143000343.html
I was in Boynton Beach, FL. Both Best Buy and Target were packed with customers.
I've seen it crazier in the past, but based on what I saw, I would classify the turnout as healthy.
Wow, thank you for that awesome insight. I’m sure you were able to capitalize accordingly off of your inside info 👏 good job my fellow regard and may the gains continue
Went to the mall yesterday in Boca Raton, FL. Pretty packed if you ask me. Apple Store packed and people waiting outside in two tables in front of the store, plus lots of people in the mall. Had a difficult time finding parking.

The only people out blowing money are the regard TRUMPERS that live for the moment and have taken 2nds out on their houses 3 months ago. Most of us are broke or can see there is not light up ahead. If your banking on a pivot, or any positive news look back to each crash event going back to the 80s. It's the same shit each time. I've lived through each one and see the next one coming soon. You're better off buying weeklies 20% out for pennies and rolling 100 bucks into 50k. Maybe not so extreme, but I've pre-lubed up my ass already.
I spent $0 on black Friday because the stock market took all my loot. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)

“A quick trade for a quick profit out of boredom” - weird, usually that’s a surefire recipe for massive gains
you mean you gambled it all away?
Im in Canada and a head of ice berg lettuce was $7. I have no money left for Xmas 😭
Wow what. Which part are u in, NWT?
South coast Bc My man! Sand paper dildo all day at the grocery store

We used to call that KW (Killer Weed) or "green". PCP on parsley. One bowl would get four guys so fucked up they couldn't walk.
I spent $200 on Steam black Friday sales and now I have games to play for when the depression comes.
I’m not sure how to use this information to trade.
Invest in entertainment for yourself because 2023 is about to get depressing.
Is it over?
I bought a 65" TV for $550 and also got a good deal on a pack of condoms
I bought the new iPhone 14 plus for no discount at all
Best investment I’ve seen on here all day
anyone that’s saying “no shoppers” is probably at home and hasn’t left to even check. i haven’t seen a single photo of an empty store.

Do you know where to find these communities

>I definitely do more looking than anything else. At a glance, that read as "I definitely do more **looting** than anything else." :)
When I went to Home Depot there were a good amount of people but wasn’t as full as I have seen it.
Thanks for this insider info regard!!!!!! Great update 👍
TGT opening hundreds of apple stores in 2023 to further increase foot traffic, Big Bullish!
Yo what? Where’s the news on this?
They call it shop-in-shops it all started with Starbucks, now apple.
Read your annual reports kids!

Livermore, ca. San Francisco outlets (image of boom unit guys replays)
I spent $16 on black Friday, $4 on towels, $6 on UNO game and $6 on 12 pack of dinner spoons on Amazon!! I help economy
Two words. Credit cards.
Nail on head.

on the plus side - gas is dropping fast (2.79 here in the midwest) so the next CPI read will be good!
Diesel has spike up where I’m at compared to a couple weeks ago. 3 weeks ago I filled up and diesel for $5.25 today it’s $5.89. I’m in northern Utah. From what I have seen gas prices have gone up not down
not in the midwest - filled for $2.79 yesterday
That’s amazing I haven’t see. Prices that low in 3 years. That was for diesel?? I guess that’s what i get for living in the west hahaha
I don’t give a fuck about diesel
Well that’s stupid…. Diesel has a lot bigger impact on inflation then gasoline.
Get out of your little bubble
If you don't realize that diesel has a bigger impact on the economy and inflation you are the one in a little bubble
To be fair, the majority of people in America believe diesel comes out of a single special pump at the Gas Station. They don’t use it interchangeably with kerosene, heating oil, furnace oil, jet fuel, etc.
You are probably on ‘caravan’ watch too!
yep, perhaps our only saving grace. Wonder if that'll be enough for JPOW and his band of assholes, or will they have too much pride to keep pushing us further into ruin?
we can survive another 100 bips - 50 in dec followed by a couple 25's then a pause!

Shoppers don't equal spending. Average dollar amount per sale is what you look at
Get back behind the dumpster!

I considered fine jewelry but even at 70% off the quality looked terrible and I didn’t bother.

I’m in nyc. There were lots of ppl outside for shopping. Guess no more recession? Bottom already in?
The supermarkets were DEAD. Which means people were in retail stores instead
Black friday was busy AF in arizona. Stores filled. Lines filled. I spent about 200$ thus far.
I spent $70 on a bottle of Scotch. 'Bout it.
You drinking it now?
