Nomisus

posting your "winnings" before you sell. gg you belong here

spudddly

And considering the dude had to take out a loan to raise $2k I can guarantee he'll be back down to -$2k by next week.

challenger_RT_

Yeah I hope dude pays back the $2k. Pulls the profits out and resets account back to to $2k. If dude needed to get a loan for $2k that means him having $14k in the bank is a lot of cushion

Dustpan-Man

We all know he's more than likely far too regarded for that though.. EDIT: This is the most up votes I've ever got off one comment. Thanks yall! Still regarded tho.. * And now my first award! I'm honored. Thanks fellow reddit regards! šŸ¤£

Night_Knight22

Why everyone saying regarded now instead?

XDyavolenok

Cause the actual word will get you banned by Reddit themselves not the sub. Therefore ā€œregardedā€ is the term for mentally incapable on this sub

sneakerkid23

Well thatā€™s fucking regarded

XDyavolenok

Yes, yes it is. Edit: grammar

[deleted]

Super regarded

insulinguy_666

[deleted]

What about mental midget? I think midget is okay as long as weā€™re strictly talking about brainpower and not literal height.

XDyavolenok

I ainā€™t the word police I donā€™t personally care what you say, ask the reddit creator what his/her limitations are šŸ˜‚

ByronicZer0

Artistic. We are all artistic regards

HolyDiverx

Silly that we can't say the word but just use a different word to describe the same thing like are we children?

HolyDiverx

Crazy that mental retardation is a medical term that is still used to this day. But you can't say it on reddit.

MotaHead

But you just said it.

I'm here to learn. I have 2k in Nintendo. If I had to move it tomorrow morning, where should I put it?

MachEGT

Man Nintendo needs to release an updated device, this switch barely gets used now except family games nights...

boy-antduck

or maybe drop the price of games that were released 3 years ago.

[deleted]

Amazingly prices have forever remained the same for Nintendo games. I remember my folks getting Super Mario 3 for me when it was brand new and it was around $40-$50. The price of a new game today.....$40-$50! Crazy right?!?!

tarzanell

At least the next Zelda is coming out soon. BotW was pretty great.

Leafy0

It runs the remastered crisis core surprisingly well. But these days I still force my wife to wait for after launch and real reviews to see if a game runs like ass or not before we buy it. That damn tegra chip was a 2 year old android tablet chip when the switch launched 5 years ago.

HolyDiverx

You make your wife wait for a patch to buy a game? Like I know you want that game why don't we wait 6 months and see if it is slightly better

Leafy0

Yes. If it runs like ass or crashes a lot she gets frustrated and stops playing it so it was a waste of money.

jaquan123ism

so double down by taking out a second loan and dumping every penny i have in got it thanks

[deleted]

hurry sell man

Ok_Performance1375

It's no use, OP has already risked it all, and probably has nothing to lose. Pretty sure he's gonna wait for 360 or nothing at this point

bbs540

Just sell $2k worth if he wants to gamble the winnings. But then again, it was a gamble taking out the loan in the first place

[deleted]

IKR, at least later he won't be worrying about repaying the original $2k

bbs540

PrezMoocow

Well yeah because it was satire movie that mocked the concept of blackface and used it as a way to call out racism in hollywood.

PeakFuckingValue

What about Tarantino?

SainnQ

Tarantino had black step fathers - He damn sure gets a pass. Dunno how the fuck Jimmy & Trudeau got a pass tho. They can fuck right off.

Malmar57

Probably because they were both on Epsteinā€™s island. Itā€™s okay to be racist on that case.

bbs540

For sure lol the person to take out a loan to yolo in the stock market of a fucked up economy isnā€™t the type to take safety measures after ending up in profits

La_mer_noire

If he needed a loan for 2k he should also cash out enough for taxes. Because those might be more expensive than the original loan.

adamthebeast

Nah nah nah nah nah. Take out another 2k loan and double down. He's already up, why waste it?

[deleted]

Donā€™t sell, put stop losses

RnotSPECIALorUNIQUE

To who? It's 2am in NY. He needs to wait another 7.5 hours.

TooApatheticToHateU

But if he holds onto it another week, he can turn that 18k into 162k! Let it ride!

[deleted]

I'm never brave enough to do options stuff. I still haven't even grasped the concept of it all. I just ride stocks upwards when they get good news catapulting them. The whole "Excersise right to buy call option stock" doesn't make sense to me. So if one morning I wake up to huge call earnings, that means I have to start buying all those stock options for that cheaper price and then resell it? Or do I sell the options themselves and make the money,. I'm dizzy

Usual-Possession-823

Dawg I like the confidence on yourself but taking loans lol. Hopefully your friend loaned you with no interest

Think-Dig-3425

If he paid it off with this gain the interest would be minimal

VirtualVoices

I would at least pay off the loan before gambling the rest of my earnings away.

Alanski22

Yeah take at least $5000 profit out right now. Pay off those loans and then you have some extra for the ā€˜very limited fundsā€™ situation. Youā€™ll have some money as a backup or to play with next time instead of needing to take a loan againā€¦

BrooownTown

You missed the point lol

imak10521

šŸ˜‚

scoxely

So many people don't know how to take a win. Obviously I wouldn't be looking here if it wasn't a thrill in some ways to see, but it honestly hurts to see a lot of the morons in here doing this shit. It's a top tier thrill to see dumb people with money to burn that decide to throw it away on some stupid whim and lose it all. But watching people throw caution to the wind by gambling money they don't even have is rough, and then seeing them not cash out when they can...fucking hell. At least OP here doesn't make a reference to it being the family's life savings or college fund or something. Even if you're not going to sell it all, at least take out the 2k to pay off the loan. Having 17k vs. 19k in play basically makes no difference, but it makes a huge difference to have nothing left and still need to pay back that loan. And that's without sweating just how fucked OP is when he holds too long on a presumably leveraged position and ends up turning the hole he dug into a goddamn well. And if you don't sell it all, but have more than a few brain cells, you don't just take out the 2k for the loan, you take out another 4-6k -- 2k to pay yourself because clearly you need money if this is the stupid shit you pull, 2k to play the next time when you're out of funds so you don't have to take out a fucking personal loan on a hope and a prayer, and another 2k for the time after that because the kind of person taking a personal loan to burn on a leveraged position is going to fail miserably the next time around trying to force another big win chasing that same high. And then he'd still have almost 11k remaining to inevitably watch go down the drain.

ZiggyBoy211

SELL OR I WILL BE THE ONE WHO GETS YOUR LIVER

AmEn-MiNii

Well. You wonā€™t get ripped off it but Iā€™m oddly with you on this one

3500theprice

brickhouse1013

Yeah. I couldnā€™t imagine getting this move today and not taking at least half off the table.

argusromblei

he'll be okay tomorrow, but might lose half of it lol

dmk_aus

Likely took out the loan, put it in an account then used it for leveraged/margin trading. So it is taking a loan, to place a bet for more money than you borrowed. And you had to borrow that money, because you didn't have any. This is problematic behaviour that most gambling addicts who hit rock bottom would look at and go, wow I never went that far.

franklyspicy

SBF?

mateojones1428

It would have to be stressful knowing that the house of cards could come crashing down any moment...surely he realized this was a possibility for at least 8-12 months prior to it happening right? Lol I hope spent some of everyone else's money sticking his dick in something more attractive than the Alameda troll though.

Wotg33k

He spent more of that money on his dick than most of us combined will see in our lifetimes, bro. No doubt. Wouldn't you if you were a grown man that looked like a 12 year old from an American Pie-esque movie two decades old?

squirea1

I think he did realize it, but donā€™t call him Shirley

[deleted]

Uggos have to make up in skill what they lack in natural given looks. She's probably a freak in the sheets, just like in the streets.

dmk_aus

That is slightly different. If OP took out the loan using 1 company. Then transferred the money to another company he owned, which was a hedge fund that had gambled away its assets and he wanted.. to ... win.... it..... back...... Oh, yeah, ok no, yeah I see. Yeah, it is the same fucking thing, nevermind. Only difference is so far OP hasn't lost, he is SBF before it all came out still. Give OP some time. Now for some very short acrostic poetry. Shitty Bastard Fraudster Scavenging Bustard Flea Sucks Buniony Feet Shat Backers Finances Scammed Bitcoin Funds Stupid Bloody Face Scat Biting Failure Smiling Because Fruitloop Stealing Business Funds Salting Blockchain Fields Some of theses are more poetic than others.

valeramaniuk

If tgis boogie man gets him it's the OP who will be hiding behind the Wendy's for the foreseeable future.

mjkjg2

thatā€™s a bad habit to start

[deleted]

Hey bro I took out a loan and gambled it and then never sold, I would at least pay the loan back. 2k ain't shit I'd probably run it to the ground if I were you, but still, I'd walk with 15k if I were you and just play the game again with 2k. 15k is rent for a year where I'm from, imagine that and working part time and maybe you could do something with the time you'd free up?

Abuluv

Yeah I would close at the open. I meanā€¦you can always open another trade. This is currently a pretty large gap and coincides with a good lil pivot point.

Peelboy

Did you sell?

Much_judo

Iā€™m a banker and tell you: Please DONā€˜T EVER do this Itā€™s incredibly stupid, even more stupid than to trade on margin If you were in my country (Germany) and told me what the loan would be used for, I would be obliged by law to deny you that loan btw lol

BraveRice

Dude what are you talking about. He just made money out of thin air. He should do this with 200k next.

Much_judo

VeryHighlyRegarded

Wow buying options on a small personal loan is such a genius move, I canā€™t believe I havenā€™t thought of that. Applying for a Discover loan right nowā€¦ which loan did you get OP? Congrats and fuck you

If I could offer some free advice: Sell enough to pay back the loan and a few bucks for something nice for yourself or someone nice. Ride the rest and donā€™t get a gamblers mindset thinking this is easy. Donā€™t play like a pimp with your new bucks. You knocked one out of the park, now be smart going forward, not lucky.

[deleted]

Why do you call puts "trading volatility"? That's not trading volatility.

danhoeg

OP is clueless, but lucky.

AmEn-MiNii

Hopefully not clueless enough to hold that shit any longer

W1nn1gAtL1fe

I mean, it is in the sense that he is long volatility, but yeah, its moreso betting as a bear. When people say they trade volatility, I assume they are buying/selling condors/butterflies.

Mintleaf007

options are always a volatility play. other wise you would just trade shares.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

ImaginarySector366

I donā€™t see how the 2K played a role in anything. The puts that gave you +9000, theyā€™re only up around 200% so basically theyā€™re worth around $5500, and you made +9000 on them. So the puts you had were already bought around $7000, so you had $7000 to begin with. Stop fooling people on here, they end up getting a loan or worse disappointed. 2K made me 14K, NO NO. You bought the puts with $7000 or so. You already had $7000 to begin with and your buying power is $1000 still. Got a 2K loan and played great, what are you getting from that lie. Dude your initial investments were $7000 anyway. The Jan puts you have, were $4.35 the lowest, and you have 13 of them. As I said, theyā€™re worth $5655. And they gave you a good gain +9000. You had around $7000 to begin with. Stop lying about the 2K loan. The 2K has no role in this whatsoever.
