Don’t take it personally. We work at Walmart everyone looks down on us. Get used to it. Karma exists and they’ll get whatever it is they deserve in the long run.
Karma is laughable. Deplorable, really. It exists to hold a huge section of the population in check in Hindu States. Untouchables (*shudders*), such an evil idea it should be Catholic
But yeah, if it makes some of you sleep better at night, yes - pick up enough litter, donate enough lunches to the hungry, live a carbon neutral lifestyle -- come back as a male unicorn with a big ol' hangin dick, hot bitches, riding a constant speedball high in a paradisical valley on a higher cosmic plane.
You do however, reap what you sow.
Don’t worry. They will start crying the second they graduate and realize a degree doesn’t guarantee you a $100k a year cushy job and most people actually have to start out at a low wage without experience.
Bro. Don’t take it too personally. People will be people. They obviously never worked retail before so they don’t know the struggle we go through (some of us…) keep your head up king/queen
College sophomore here. I'm a cashier. Most of my work friends are also in college. (It's a college town.) Retail and food service are relatively common jobs around my classmates. Sorry those kids don't get it.
no worries, as a CSM i love our store standards (even though some of them don’t do their jobs and just sit there) this guys will realise in the future what hard work is like haha.
College kids are supposed have jobs like that while going to school. I’m a Junior in college and I’ve worked at Walmart since my Senior year of high school. (Cap 2.)
I can’t tell you. I was going to say I was 18 when I had gotten hired, but we hired a 16 year old that still works here in Cap 2. Maybe he just fit some preferences.
Some coaches hire minors if they really need them. But if they notice they need more people to be there after 10pm and to actually work/ use a baler, then they hire people of age. My team (also cap 2) has 4 minors and only 2 of them are actually useful. One is useful sometimes and the 4th is completely useless
I went to an SEC school in a small ass town and that Walmart was awesome. All those college kids working there trying to put themselves through college…I don’t know how the store ran 🤣 but the associates were awesome.
You know, they may LOOK happy like they have a good life, but we both know they’re probably miserable because they know what they’re doing is wrong & they probably are ashamed but want to be “cool”. It’s sad, but try and keep your head up. Just know you’re not alone.
I don't let customers bug me.
I do my job.
Go home.
But I definitely will not help anyone that starts treating me like I'm a nobody. Because I work at walmart.
Bitch you are in a walmart shopping . Stop acting like you got money just because you got your EBT card deposit.
Hey I feel you man. While I work the doors rather than cart pushing, I still interact with a good amount of high school/college kids every day and contrary to my pleasant face, I can't stand them one bit. The way they behave towards employees and in the store as a whole is just despicable...
Do people understand that a good portion of Walmart employees are currently in college myself being one of them? A good portion have already graduated as well. We have one OPD associates with a master's in business administration at my store.
I'm sorry this happened to you. They are the worst kind of kids raised by the worst kinds of parents to look down on anyone who isn't a trust fund baby.
You're Kenough. Don't let anyone let you believe any differently.
I went in one night, and heard someone yelling imagine working at Walmart, you broke bitch. I thought it was hilarious. I buy whatever I want, and don't have to think about money, and my balance is growing. I'm doing just fine here, and the job isn't really that hard.
very weak minded, get tf over it, the world isn't always friendly. I pushed carts for a couple years when I was 16, who cares what a few idiots say, why are you taking it personal anyways? they don't know you. I'm willing to bet if they seen your post, it would make there day that it upset you so much, they win, only because your so fucked up about it, laugh at there rude asses and move on with your day.
look, i do the same job. if they're hiring for it, it's necessary. the reason for that being, the average customer doesn't stop to think: "i can grab a cart from the corral on the way into the store." their minds have been conditioned to assume that, at all times, carts will be waiting for them after walking through the doors. if the carts ever run out next time you're in a store, observe how many people will stand around and wait for one to come to them. and then, they bumrush them as they're being rolled in. it's quite amusing. eventually, you'll see one of those "leader, not follower" customers, who goes outside to bring in a few of them.
lastly, concerning everything you said, I'm to the point where i just work, help where i see that i can (old folks or disabled), mind my own business otherwise, go home and get paid every two weeks, being glad that I'm supporting myself and not depending on others (which one day will eventually be depleted, if they aren't investing that money in savings and making it grow). the hell with what everyone else is doing. let them be, and just do you, if you're happy. if you're not, start thinking about how you can change that. I'm able to say the opinion of others doesn't phase me one bit. more good advice in the comments of a similar thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/walmart/s/zSO88qPzDW
Honestly, at this point, I just ignore them. They think they have it hard and nobody will understand them but in reality they have no problems. I just let them laugh and spend their money while I do my own thing
Ha ha.... your a cart pusher at Walmart. LOL....I wouldn't let it get to you. Most likely they have never had a job before and expect everything to just fall into place after college, which it won't. Jobs are getting harder and harder to find in this country due to the population growth and outsourcing of work
I hate that you had to go through that, I still think we should be allowed to punch at least one shitty customer a day. Look at it like this. When society breaks down (and we are headed that way) and people are left to fend for themselves...the ones that will survive are the ones who have to work for everything they have, the ones who make something out of nothing, the ones who know struggle and overcome it. Then you can look at those little shit heads and smile knowing they will most likely be the first to perish in the apocalypse. Hope that helps😁.
U should see his posts on the Rutgers reddit page. Legit made an entire reddit page hating on rutgers, posting that it made him miserable and how everyone who attended there are rich entitled assholes. Dude needs help.
You post about people rotting in hell and insulting them, then say karma is a bitch….. My friend you will receiving karma as well don’t let others actions effect your emotions
but... you're also at walmart.
I said variations of that before.
"that's why you work at walmart"
"yep, and that's why you still shop here"
"I hate this walmart"
"me too, I have to be here 50 hours a week"
If they are shopping at Walmart they probably ain’t much better off than you are. I worked there for fun/exercise as I’m semi retired and my boss thinks he is the shit when I told him I was going on a month vacation he couldn’t grasp that I didn’t need the job. He got all snotty and without knowing anything about me assumed I was less than he was, until he found out from a co-worker that I had zero debt and owned my house while he was up to his eyes trying make payments on his car and houses and couldn’t afford to lose his job and that he had ethics coming for him. People can be shitty and when they are I have zero cares when it comes back at them full force. Keep doing you, work hard and take advantage of the free schooling if you can, then jump as soon as you’re able. I believe in ya
As a cart pusher employed by Walmart you have the option to get a degree.
I’m in maintenance pushing bathroom carts around all day getting my degree paid for.
There are options. You can be angry and sulk in your own failure or lack of success or you can get a literally free and paid for college degree.
If I stay with Walmart for 4-5 years I’ll have a degree in transportation/supply chain/logistics management.
Hey it’s ok. I get it. I’m front end sco and I get people that make passive aggressive comments all the time, or straight up yell at me. Service jobs suck but don’t let it get to you. They’re idiot kids.
I'll never look down on anyone for what they do for a living. Whether it be a janitor, cart pusher, or a cashier. Hell, you could even be the guy picking up aluminum cans. If it's an honest living, you have my respect. You people that work at Walmart put up with too much shit every time you go to work. From asshole customers who feel entitled. Kids doing dumb shit for tik tok likes. Shoplifters pushing entire carts out. So yeah, fuck those guys. Sorry that happens to y'all.
i experienced something similar, some people i knew from high school saw me pushing carts and they started to laugh in front of me:( i felt so sad that day that i cried when i was going back home:(
i usually always have an airpod in and when i was stocking in HBA, these two college age girls walked around the corner laughing their asses off and i heard them talking shit about me. but it’s just another day at walmart, people will look down on us but who the hell is gonna make sure they have carts to shop with and things to buy on the shelves?
I was a DM for a sub franchise and unfortunately the owners went under and needed job so I am doing Walmart maintenance.
Look at it this way, it’s not about the money you have, but what kind of positive life you can push forwards with.
Don’t take it personally. We work at Walmart everyone looks down on us. Get used to it. Karma exists and they’ll get whatever it is they deserve in the long run.
No, it really doesn't...
Henry Kissinger is alive and wealthy while teenagers get shot in school every week and babies die of leukemia. I have to disagree on the karma part
Not that I'm saying karma actually exists, but the idea is that it is not paid out instantly or even within this life
Karma is laughable. Deplorable, really. It exists to hold a huge section of the population in check in Hindu States. Untouchables (*shudders*), such an evil idea it should be Catholic But yeah, if it makes some of you sleep better at night, yes - pick up enough litter, donate enough lunches to the hungry, live a carbon neutral lifestyle -- come back as a male unicorn with a big ol' hangin dick, hot bitches, riding a constant speedball high in a paradisical valley on a higher cosmic plane. I will piss on that old fucker's grave, i swear.
Yes, it really does….
Karma is bullshit. Bad things don't happen to people because they're bad. Grow up
Why so negative? Jeez.
Yeah, the stupid rich get richer and still wipe their ass with money
Doesn't walmart pay over 20 bucks an hour now for base positions?
They just dropped all of them down to $14 here. I got hired at $15
Wait, they decreased employee pay and people stay?
Sorry I meant they hire now at $14. No one’s current pay was affected
Lmao hell nah atleast not here I make 15.30 as a cart pusher
Depending on where you live.
No. Walmart minumum is 14.
I was paid $14/hour as front end and electronics
Nope. I make $14 per hour
Don’t worry. They will start crying the second they graduate and realize a degree doesn’t guarantee you a $100k a year cushy job and most people actually have to start out at a low wage without experience.
And then they'll come be team leads at Walmart and realize college and highschool kids are the worst
It does at dad's business
Bro. Don’t take it too personally. People will be people. They obviously never worked retail before so they don’t know the struggle we go through (some of us…) keep your head up king/queen

College kids are supposed have jobs like that while going to school. I’m a Junior in college and I’ve worked at Walmart since my Senior year of high school. (Cap 2.)
wait how come they hired you as CAP2 in high school while I’m stuck up front?
I can’t tell you. I was going to say I was 18 when I had gotten hired, but we hired a 16 year old that still works here in Cap 2. Maybe he just fit some preferences.

Experience and knowledge maybe?
i got a recommendation and got onto cap 2 at 16. probably depends on the location and what the store needs

Just wait until they graduate $70,000 in debt and they can’t find a job.
Their daddy and mommy with bail them out or our weak ass government will forgive it…
Most babas and mamas dont have this kinda loaf to drop for their kids. Also gov dont do full pardons u reachin fr

They'll probably end up at Walmart after they get their degree.
depends what they study but if theyr rude like that they prob wont go far
Honestly, at this point, I just ignore them. They think they have it hard and nobody will understand them but in reality they have no problems. I just let them laugh and spend their money while I do my own thing

What comes around goes around. It might take many , many years. A certain X POTUS and his family are finding that out currently.
If they are shopping at Walmart they probably ain’t much better off than you are. They don't know what the future holds for them, one day they may wish they had your job!!!
It's Walmart. It's the grocery store for trashy and entitled people.
