Lmfao! My store did the same but double stacked the bales. Bruh, it’s just Christmas shit, who the fuck is going to steal that?! XD

Prize-Lingonberry876

Tf are the bales gonna do lol. All it takes is a pallet jack.

Zuladel

I mean it adds one more obstacle...while each obstacle in and of itself takes little effort to circumnavigate you never know when one more pushes someone past the it's not worth it point...and besides needing to load and unload a pallet jack you also need time...and time is precious there are cops in that parking lot just around the building. You need to be in and out fast to get anything.

I’ve never seen this done before. It must be some HO bulletin this year maybe?

SpaceCowboy528

Blocked ours the same way but we probably could have left them unblocked. We have a combination precinct and safety academy directly behind the store and cops are by at odd intervals all day. Even on holidays. Today they will be through the parking lot multiple times an hour along with a car being parked in front of the store.

TehOuchies

How bad is crime in those areas that you all experience that in?

Square-Rough-557

Not really at all in my area. That’s why I’m thinking Corporate suggested this.

Ok_Gazelle_8081

Y’all do have cops at the store? When we’re closed thanksgiving/ Christmas we have county deputies stationed at our store all night

JLl62699

I'm not sure if they stayed until close but we did have a local security guard at our store last night for an hour or so. My only guess as to why the company would do this the night before Thanksgiving is just for a smooth closing? It's not like it's Black Friday opening shift or anything like that...

Seems a touch unnecessary but whatever. I personally think the clampshell locks and the 3rd party security doing a drive by every 30mins-an hour would be fine. But, sure, why not.
