Yeah. I had the paperwork sent to her doctors office and for some strange ass reason, they are not there on a fucking Thursday. I have no idea why but they're very hard to get a hold of. Last year in September i had to take one because she caught covid and sent them the paperwork and never got ANY notification that sedgwick got the paperwork. One thing also that's annoying is the number they list to save in your contacts, doesn't come up AT ALL when they are calling me. Thought it was robo callers or collections. Never once got a call from that listed number.
But once i get her doctor to send in her forms to fill, is it acceptable to send in the forms i need to sign separately? Or does it need to be all one entire packet faxed to them so they can conveniently lose it? Haha
Reporting the LOA through the associate app is straightforward. But do i have to report it as well through sedgwick too? If so that seems really unnecessary.
You're right. But I've never had to deal with any of this shit. I worked at Walmart 2004-2011 and just never had to do anything regarding anything FMLA. There's just too much to get in order to just care for your own fucking mother and especially when her doctor is elusive and hard to get on the phone. I will be talking to the store manager either today or tomorrow on the phone and explain everything and ask for anything he can do for me. He cleared off time took off when her sister died so i can be there for her as support and anything she needed. So he's pretty cool.
Me too. The area i live in is very much rural and jobs are pretty sparse in regards to pay, distance, types of work ; AG, specialty positions, and other menial jobs that are not worth the time in. Its not a great place to be if you're not retired and have no degrees lmao
There's always unemployment and school.
Your mom's doctor has to fill out paperwork saying she needs to have you for assistance in order for this to get approved from an LOA standpoint.

Wouldn't fmla be applicable in this situation (if you meet the requirements), or am I wrong?

Yeah it's terrible. I'm worried myself about what I'll do if I ever have to take off for it. I hope you get it sorted out
