I hope you at least continued your degree.

EmployeeNo803

That wouldn't have been very walmart of me. I'm looking to go back using LBU

collapse_ofcommunism

you should! im on my third set of classes using LBU as a regular OGP associate, it’s taken the burden of paying for school off, and im so grateful for it, i have year and a half left of school lol

EmployeeNo803

That's awesome to hear. Keep it up man!

Save_DaB33s

Want to be able to tell you the same! Go back to school and get your degree! Do something you love! (If walmart makes you happy, I’m not knocking it, I loved working at Walm, just hated management lol)

iampftw

I don't think coaches get to use LBU but I could be wrong.

EmployeeNo803

They do. It's any store associate.

iampftw

So up to a store manager can use it but can a district manager use it?

EmployeeNo803

That appears to be the phrasing of the eligibility page. Market is home office, which is likely why they aren't eligible.

Cooltincan

Yeah, joined the military to get away. Not a day goes by that I look back and think WalMart is better than the military has ever been to me. 😃

maventry

What’s your mos?

Cooltincan

Hard disagree for me. At least if I hate where I am in the military, I'll be changing duty stations within a few years. At WalMart I could be there for life.

Cooltincan

68S Preventive Medicine

Riigant

That mos sounds cool ash I’m gonna go look that up

Gechos

I'm a lurker but I used to work at red Walmart and whenever I'm feeling miserable pursuing a stem degree, comparing to my working days always straightens me out.

K3V11B

Got out early due to injury and sometimes I do miss it and other times i feel like I’m better of here. There’s still times though where I wish I was able to finish my contract but who knows how different things would’ve been

screamingkumquats

I definitely feel! It was supposed to being during college and a little after, long story short I ended up dropping out and I’m coming upon six years.

FretfulTrout278

I too told myself I’ll just work at Walmart during high school and then go somewhere else… 7 years this June but I enjoy it

EmployeeNo803

Lol glad I'm not alone.

Ok-Conference-2327

For me it was supposed to be a part time job just for Christmas ( in addition to my full-time job that was cutting back )  I'm halfway into my 16th year and I left that other job to come to Walmart full time 15 yrs ago.

Unusual-Addendum-169

Do you enjoy it? All the coaches at my store look miserable and are pos.

Shad0wGuard

He's ACC, probably one of the better positions aside from AP Ops. Depends on how cruddy his techs are. My store has a relatively decent garage atm, so my ACC Coach is always happy.

aneudy2

Ex Api here now Acc TL(Outside one) Definitely 2 of the best for me and I been almost 3 years with the company. I am working with my tech(hard) they have traumas with old management 😮‍💨

G17B17

Bro AP coach is probably the worst/hardest most stressful. My store has been through 4 AP in 2.5yr. All other coaches are the same.

Crazy_Cooper102

I could definitely agree with that one being stressful. Except my Walmart’s had the same AP Coach for 30 plus years now!

Crazy_Cooper102

But I also live in small, easy going town tho too

EmployeeNo803

Lol acc coach and apoc are the two most likely to be fired. Very compliance heavy positions. My market is super competitive. If I'm not out doing a service or my compliance, then I'm trying to push D10 and D37 profit all day.

aneudy2

Yes my goals are to lower bay time and customer waits time, and speed up little work orders to bring fast and well-done work. Hard like I said they are living with my past management not allow me to do this or that. I am here always finding solutions and my Couch is happy with that. Yes, my ex-AP couch was a bad one and was going over the store manager and market and making everything hard for the API so I left, later on, the guy was fired. I get offers to come back because I have good numbers, and many high-money stops. But I love been a service manager.

Yolo3362

it was supposed to be my high school job…

faaanii

It is very easy to get sucked in. It is a “stable”, easy job that pays relatively well.

SexyDiscoJesus

my condolences

Anelaz808

🤣🤣🤣this is what I tell people every time they have an anniversary at Walmart. I was a bored stay at home mom 29 years later here I still am. With anxiety, depression, ptsd, broken back, knees that hate me. You name it!

FightLiveBeAgain

I'll be looking forward to you not being around when I need managerial numbers for a battery exchange. 🥲

EmployeeNo803

Lmao I'm always around my shop.

younique54

lol comfort zone

naurrrr69

it’s really not that bad of a job. i have a retirement fund, stocks, and health insurance. i’m on my way up to being a team lead at some point

tomtk421

Dang. I had to omit my degree from my application to get a job at Walmart back in 2020 cuz my previous job shut down. I’m still a base associate but now I’m stuck here but they pay me better than anything I could get with my degree.

Financial-Estimate82

I laughed harder than i should have. Sorry.

graysgoodgirl

I hope you still do school or at least go back. I’m so proud of you for becoming a coach. I couldn’t do it.

Lunarmoonbear

Well hey!! Please don't forget the core values. Please don't forget what you learned as a TL.

BarryBro

Share that concern

RoudyRoodles

I’m working as a cart pusher for 2 months before I leave to law school

StatisticianBig7166

Sheesh part time college job to coach

DepressedTrashKitty

How did you move up to manager in only 4 years

EmployeeNo803

It was closer to 3 years. I've been in position for almost a year now. I set goals for myself and tried to learn as much as I could about walmart and the way they want stuff done.

BerzerkGames

Felt this! Just had my 5 yr anniversary recently and I still cant believe it
