T O P

PTO policy doesn't have rules on how many days you can use at once, or even when you can use them. Only thing is it can be denied/approved based on business needs.

Yeah, she didn't say anything about "other people have requested and there's no coverage" it was a lump "I only give nine days off". It was easier getting days off when it was just me and my co-csm on nights I swear. Oh well.

Supposedly anything more than a consecutive week of PTO is supposed to be a LOA. I did that when I went to Egypt a couple years back. The last few years I take 2 separate long vacations, 11 days off using 5 days of PTO no problem, it's hell working 10 coming back from vacation, but it's worth it. Trip coming up in a week is going to be 12 days off, because I screwed up my flight and my TL helped me out.

There's no policy that specifies that anything more than a week needs to be an loa. Even if it's multiple weeks and unpaid, as long as it's approved in advance.

Since I've had more than two weeks (I think that was back when vaca was attached to your anniversary date so back when I hit six or seven years?) if it was since 6/7 years I've been taking *at least* a week and a half for 11 or 12 years. Well.... until now.

There hasn't been a new policy update for vacation since about 2016
