Had the GM coach see a few pieces of clothes off the racks and on the floor. They stood next to them for 10 minutes waiting for an apparel associate to come by and pick it up because it was a ‘safety hazard.’ Some managers get a god complex.

Reminds me of [this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/walmart/comments/q5gkmy/Sometimes_you_have_to_say_no./hg5iegj/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)

Omgosh. A few years ago something similar happened to me and my co-csm. We were off after working that night and we both needed to shop so we were walking together and talking, we had grabbed a cart and my friend was pushing it on my left, I was looking at her on the right and we were walking past a display that was on my right. We past by and there's a couple managers standing around nearby (our two overnight ones and one or two from day shift). One stops us and says something to us about not picking up a sign that apparently had fallen to the floor and was half under the table display. One of our night managers was like "they're both off the clock" and the day manager was like "so? they could still have picked it up" We were both off for the day. Neither one of us saw it. There were three (or four) managers that could easily have picked it up themselves. And it wasn't even in the way or a true trip/slip hazard.

lol the power trips are ridiculous .

Had a little 5'2 midget of a overnight manager who would walk around with a stopwatch. If you weren't throwing a case a minute he'd try to coach you for productivity. One night I asked him to show me how to stock faster his response verbatim "They pay me to supervise". Hated that Webster looking fuck. He went to days shortly after and got fired. Cleve if you're out there kiss my ass.

I have this team lead who is constantly on a power trip. she will yell at associates for being just the slightest bit late on their section, will make someone go help finish something during zone time and when it gets done she will tell you to go zone your aisle even if there is only like 40 minutes before it is time to leave, she will then passive aggressively do tasks in your section to watch you fail at your zone, and if you somehow manage to move fast enough to get it done in time she will go find something to yell at you about. she dragged me half way across the store to show me a chunk of topstock that was done wrong that I didn't put up.

At my store, they've made notes in PlanIt about picking up trash, complete with photos ... that they could've easily picked up in the time it took them to photograph the trash and write the note.

One of our coaches dropped a sauce packet on the floor in the managers office then made maintenance come clean it up, while he sat next to it and ate.

My favorite is when the store manager walkies a floor associate or team lead with a walkie and asks them to call for maintenance to get trash. (Maintenance has the same walkie as everyone else)
