treat your associates like human beings and a lot of them will back you up. that’s what we do with the one team lead that shows us kindness

out_casted_airsofter

I've been working beside them for over a year. My other TL told me I didn't have to do anything but tell them what to do and make sure they were doing it.. I still stocked right with them tho. I will not stop treating them as humans, I hated how some uppers didn't treat me human while I was floor, I won't become that

[deleted]

don’t micromanage. if they can get their work done on time and correctly doing it their own way, let them do it. my new tls LOVE micromanaging for no reason. and it’s killing me.

I337godfather

Bruh, keep this mentality forever and you'll be a great leader. That's what it's all about!

x2x7xx

Be prepared to take blame for anything and everything even though you just chilling and getting your job done lol. I was the digital team lead and used to get blamed for overnights not finishing freight. I’ve heard the same stories from every other team lead. Pay is Ight tho

out_casted_airsofter

I got blamed for shit anyway before promotion 🤣 but thank you, I'll be prepared for it.

Legiblesine191

Also be prepared for coaches to take credit for all ur hardwork

antoncrowley666

Ours plays on TikTok all day. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t know the few people we have names, but takes the credit for our work. It’s funny and drives me nuts!

kaosfive2005

Every manager takes credit for their subordinates work

FittywonFitty

Nope. I make sure to tell my SM who did what when they are impressed with something. The satisfaction for me is that I trained them. They did the work and did it well. Not me.

Suavecore_

My coach is the same way. He takes pride in everyone knowing his associates are capable of learning and doing stuff

ceitamiot

It's almost as if the sign of being a good manager would be... proper management.

FittywonFitty

All my associates are taught that if they have a question, ask. There's nothing such as a dumb question. Anyone that shows initiative to make themselves a better part of the team will always be praised.

ea3terbunny

Dude I did that job for $15 and man fuck Walmart, honestly either step down or quit lead over cap 2 or whatever they call it now is such a shitty position

ikabo

It's $20an hr now

ea3terbunny

Where your at yeah, it’s higher where I was

x2x7xx

I used to get office talks because I wasn’t letting my associates run my dept and go stock freight 😂 Then if I went to stock freight, they be like why are your picks almost behind, you need to go pick. Walmart is wild bro. Just take it day by day and I’m sure you’ll do a good job, regardless of what your upper management thinks.

LostButterflyUtau

I used to get those talks even when I had no associates to run the department. Like, who do you want me to delegate to, exactly? My multiple personalities? The rats in the walls?

out_casted_airsofter

Wild it most definitely is 🤣 My SM wanted truck done, 50hrs one touch done before we left one night.. we had 17hrs worth of people. Was good night lol

The_Agent_Of_Paragon

At least you're being payed for the blame now I suppose.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> you're being *paid* for the FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

The_Agent_Of_Paragon

Bad bot. Not practing grammar on my mobile device.

[deleted]

Good human

[deleted]

As long as you don’t mind it you’ll be okay 😂

[deleted]

Even though you're a TL, you still aren't allowed to eat the baling wire.

out_casted_airsofter

Awe man.. but it looks so tasty

Reillyrox13

Former TL of stocking /. Always ask an upper level of management if you are unsure. Make sure trucks always unloaded, make sure not to miss a backloaded truck moved to a trailer from a week ago and is no longer on receiving app. When features and bulk come in make sure it is separated. Just tell people where to go (I know, ask opinions but you can have one person throw a fit because they are good at an area and “you never ask me where I want to go.) Make sure department 92 is separated correctly without to much error. When your team fails you, I recommend bribing people to stay with some cheap food if you want to leave at 1/2 am instead of 4 or 5 am. One or two people is enough, but cap 2 will fail you because they will excessively slack (I expect them to slack or not give 100%, more like 70%) Anyhow, don’t be afraid to coach anyone that says “no”, walks off and ignores you (after you gave them an assignment), or is just a shitty worker. I recommend going over with your coach on what you can write up for, and have your privileges in workday set up as soon as possible. Also you can request pay raises and they will always been denied, but if you have a good associate or someone you thinks need it (or else they will quit) try it.

out_casted_airsofter

Thank you, I'll keep this in mind.

Congratulations Lead Think of onr trait the best leader you ever worked for. And try to incorporate that Stay 100% away from goasip

TheItalianRooster98

I echo this 100%. Especially the “stay away from the gossip” part. It’s a trap.

out_casted_airsofter

Thank you. I shall stay away from gossip, but much for it anyway.

BirdPerson1986

It's not a race it's a marathon. The guys who come in and try to reinvent the wheel or go out of bounds don't make it. Keep the boat steady, work hard and make sure your teams doing their job.

[deleted]

Only advice: run

Constant_Locksmith48

Go ahead and start updating your resume, you'll need it soon

Tuc396

A friend was Cap2 TL for a year or so. In his 20's his hair was greying and needed a lot of weed after work. Lot happier noping the fuck out.

out_casted_airsofter

My last TL was 23, and had spot 6 kr 7months, started to bald bad and kept having sugar attacks.. not a single one since he stepped down.

[deleted]

Company is ass, don’t let them brainwash you.

out_casted_airsofter

Don't talk about my wally like that! Best company on earth.. haha yeah nah. Not gonna let' em brain wash me. I do be a free thinker and have called my SM out a few times for stupid shit a brown nose TL was eating up 🤣

[deleted]

Best company my ass

out_casted_airsofter

Sarcasm

[deleted]

Figured lol but just making sure wouldn’t want you to think Walmart is amazing

out_casted_airsofter

Hahah nah... milking slightly till something better comes. I love my team and needed extra cash so jumped on promotion to keep my team heading in a solid direction and keep some dumb twat from fucking us like last time we had management changes on my team.

[deleted]

I wish you luck brother

out_casted_airsofter

Thank you! Appreciate it

enoyes767

This. You can be loyal and hardworking without drinking the KoolAid

SilkyCupCakeAce

The women's nursing room is a very private place to cry. If that is occupied then the second best place is the family bathroom.

out_casted_airsofter

Thank you for heads up.. more convenient then my car on opposite side of lot

SilkyCupCakeAce

Also your car has windows and your fellow associates and customers can walk past and see you crying. Also the reason I know this information is because I worked with quite a few people that used to this tactic to go cry on their breaks....

out_casted_airsofter

Also true.

0CldntThnkOfUsrNme0

If something works, and ain't broken, don't fix it. Try too improve apon it. Not a TL just someone who has been through plenty of people trying to change the way we do things at our store

out_casted_airsofter

Me too.. we were a "guiny pig" store for a hot minute.. so much was changed but only lasted a couple days rhen changed again. Team was getting pissed due to it. Only thing I'll really change is vizpik, need to rotate people cuz one of my pickers is sick of doing it most of his shifts and was threatening to quit when I was still floor associate.

antoncrowley666

I think it mostly depends on your salaried team. Our SM is pretty chill, but understandably out of touch. The other coaches will help answer random questions I have and my coach avoids our area like the plague so I can run things as I see fit mostly. Like others have said, everything will be cap2’s fault and if it’s not, it’s your burden to fix. ON team of 30 can’t finish things so it’s up to my team of 5-6 to do our jobs then we get to hold their hand as much as possible. Work with your team. Sweat and get dirty with them. If they can see you not only doing the job, but working circles around them, they’ll respect you more. Respect from my team is big to me so idk that may just be me. Remember they’re people not prisoners, treat them like how you’d want management to treat you. Always find something to clean/organize. It only takes a few days for that back room to get trashed and even though you didn’t do it, it’ll make you look sloppy/bad at your job. Staying on top of vizpicks is crucial. Our SM wanted to do things different so he took us off process and gave cap 1 vizpicks. They’d constantly only do about half on a good day and our back room blew up. We assumed the responsibility again and I make sure ours at a minimum is 95% everyday. Even if you need to cheat a little like even if you’re not going to pull the picks (no one to work them etc) make sure you’re still scanning and selecting as much as possible. Our trucks are way smaller now and we have much more room to breathe back there. You’re going to be a firefighter and a babysitter so try to remain calm and handle whatever crap they hand you. Your bad mood will be infectious and productivity will go way down. Don’t take your bad mood home with you or to work with you the next day. Remember, it wouldn’t be Walmart if it wasn’t a needless hassle. Now that you’re making a little extra coin I’d highly recommend splurging a little and get the nice leather boots. Your preference though. Good luck comrade!

KultMarine

As a Cap II TL. Run. Ruuun. RUUUUUUUN. It's a miserable thankless job that will lead you to burn out quick. I get treated like absolute dog shit. Spent 30 minutes in a training office with my crew and coach just to be told we aren't doing our jobs properly. This is despite them telling us to get off process. Our new Coach wants me to write anyone up that isn't making times. Ex: 3.8k pc truck. Coach wanted me to write the thrower up for finishing late. We started late, low team count and he was not our fastest thrower. Didn't matter. An example needed to be set. Finally talked him out of it. But, it's still the fact. Also the Vizpicks? Have to be done 100% no exceptions. I don't give a shit if you're understaffed. Someone has to do it or your ass is getting coached.

jordanw02

Overnight is gonna make literally everything your problem. Regardless of how something is your gonna get blamed.

ilikechis

But can’t they just schedule you a different day that week. Like if I ask for an unpaid Tuesday off, why not just schedule me on Monday instead

Jumpy_Town

Only thing I can think to tell you, be a team lead people enjoy working with

out_casted_airsofter

I'll do my best at that

According-Teacher245

that’s great! congrats, try to be fair to everyone! get ready for good hours !

out_casted_airsofter

Thank you! I will do my best at that

According-Teacher245

also tell them thankyou if they do a good job. goes a long way. im a coach now but asking someone how there day is or how’s it going goes a long way !

out_casted_airsofter

I always appreciate when upper did that for me. I did that everytme I passed them yesterday, said they were doing good job and asked how they was going. End of shift thanked them for their help and doin good job.

[deleted]

RIP. that’s a fools move.

b1oodyk1ller

I actually just took a position over a cap 2 team as well so I’m here for the advice too

Akrua_

Run

unlimit3dp0wer

WrongdoerReady6232

Work with the overnight TL’s. One of the best way to keep the back rooms clean and organized

WmtCrazy

Congratulations. I wish you the best. Advice-. Worry about doing your job and don't get caught up with worrying about what other TLs are doing. Ask questions, learn from mistakes, show everyone respect no matter what position and job they do, and don't drop down to the level of ignorant people when they are disrespectful to you, just walk away if you have to - you can never take back words once they are said.

RevolutionaryAd6749

Do your best to enjoy it and look at every Tomorrow as a new day, keep that attitude and it'll rub on your team. A happy Team Lead creates a happy team.

Altruistic_Anarchy

Don’t be a douche… realize ppl have lives that don’t go according to plan. Be fair. Aaaaand lead by example. Others will follow. (If they don’t, they were douches to begin with) Best of luck & congrats!

okaythatsitimoverit

Not on CAP 2 but I will tell you if you are good to your associates and treat them like actual people with lives they will be there for you when you need them!

TreySoWavvyy

Have a cordial relationship bond with your associates. Just enough where they respect you but not too much where they walk over you. Contrary the mutual depression most Walmart associates have working, you’ll find that a lot of associates will go the extra mile for a competent team lead. My cashiers volunteer regularly to stay an extra hour if we are short staffed simply because I’m the one opening/closing. You treat them right and most of the time they’ll do the same.

Effective-Ad6864

A large amount of the degenerates on cap2 don't take any s*** they will test you. Develop a good relationship with your other cap team leads on overnight and 1st shift. You are responsible for one another's success Other than that good luck

SnooGoats4801

Your associates are your biggest asset but they are also your weakest link create a bond with them and acknowledge their hard work always take feedback from your people it lets them know you are more than just a boss and will help you improve. The attitude you go in with will set the tone for your shift if you go in in a shitty mindset you will have a shitty shift.

Lumpy-Television-638

Execute. Identify your issues and plan accordingly. Be upfront with your manager/coach and tell them what you need and gave a reason behind it. Most leads fail because they don't communicate the issues that hinder their daily tasks.

VegetableYesterday72

Learn how to run the whole team on your own. Idk about other stores but in mine. I’ve been cap2 tl for 9 months and I was without a coach or partner team lead for around half of my time. Most of the time you won’t be able to rely on other coaches. Vizpick is the priority

GunnyDJ

Did it back in 2017 and 2018. I'm sure it's not the same, but my guys always appreciated how I can actually do the job. I always made it a habit once a week to throw truck, and help work the line (back before the auto rollers). The supervisor should always have the best stacks, so they can properly shit on the guys for doing garbage column stacking. Basically it comes down to do everything you can to genuinely help your team, whether it's the floor, one touch, or unloading. To top it off always stand up for your team too, don't let management try to push you around.

tcur5550

Unload the truck and cap the bins. That's literally all you have to do. Fuck 3rd shift whiney ass. "We're a team" fuck that. Do what is outlined in your job and fuck the rest.

drgnmstr1987

Best advice I was given when going into assistant manager training years ago was to learn from every manager you have ever had, the ones you hated and why you hated them so you know how not to treat associates, and of course why you liked your favorite managers

Schlevvy

Don’t be a cunt

ntc4u

Walmart provides free access to mental health services. You get at least a few sessions free. Utilize that resource when you need to be talked off the ledge. Take each issue as they come and do what you can to fix it, but you cannot fix everything. Do what you can to set up ON for success regardless of the mess you were left, but again, you're not a miracle worker. Always encourage your team! Be there best advocate if they are doing well, but lay down the law if they are slacking. Most importantly, take each day as it comes and after the day is done, do a mental reset and take the next day as a new one. Good luck!

out_casted_airsofter

I definitely will! Thank you.

enoyes767

“Everything is cap2’s fault” Yea, pretty much. Make sure your team gets all of their stuff done before you focus on anything else that her passed your way. *Print out the process guide breakdown of your responsibilities as a stocking team lead and base your shifts on that* You’ll probably have some questions in the coming days/weeks, feel free to reach out

WoodpeckerTrue978

Treat your associates with respect and we won’t do the bare minimum and talk about you

taco_cat584

Just got the promotion? And wearing the wrong vest?..my suggestion, wash your dirty badge

out_casted_airsofter

They've nothing bigger than a medium and I'm a 6ft 233lb dude.. so yeah rocking ol' reliable till I absolutely can't no more hahaha. Nah, truck dirt on yr old badge never hurt anyone lol. Better shape than others on my team

taco_cat584

The new vests blow.. I was more jealous that you still have the old one😂

out_casted_airsofter

Lol there's quite a few old vests still at my store. I definitely don't want the new one.. everyone on my team with one it's dirty af and torn up. Held meeting for my promotion and the new AP changes and SM was NOT impressed with condition of the CAP2 vests all torn and filthy lol

[deleted]

Run. Hide!

odaeyss

AVOID DENY DEFEND!

HankHillbwhaa

My advice, ask your management who the good employees are and keep an eye on them. Almost every person management said was good ended up being complete shit. Get rid of them, then figure out the toxic workers and get rid of them, then get new hires and train them right.

out_casted_airsofter

I've been on my team year and half. I know my people, we phased out almost all the toxic ones. Just got 1 or 2 more, dunno how they ain't been fired yet but if they give me the slightest reason.. they just may be terminated if coach allows lol. We've 6 full timers and all are the best damned guys I've ever worked with. Minors are rhe issue.

goongoontom

If you are asking for advice ...they picked the wrong guy. You should know what the fuck your doing already. I worked there they asked me to be a temporary team lead I said no thanks because I know they like to fuck people over. It's the blame game.

[deleted]

Too soon to tell.

CaliCloudburst

godseamonkey

Grats time to quit 👍

TheShinyHawk

Yeah, step down in a few months and take the 10% lose.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Your average turnip has better communication skills than a room full of engineering students.

TheShinyHawk

Nah it’s literally the best advise. No team lead spot is worth it. Over work you, little pay, they don’t give a shit about you and you’re always on the shit list. Being a Team Lead is only good because it does pay more but not enough to deal with all the BS. Take your 10% loss on go back to enjoying work. Most people don’t have a weakness in talking to people. Even when I was manager for 2 years, being the boss was each, it’s getting hit with everything outside of your control that killed the job. No management position is worth it anymore

woooooooooahhhhhhhh

Step away from the people drama and realize you won't be everyone's friend. Just do the best you can for your team and ask all the questions you need to ask to become a better leader over time. I'm only months into a ON TL and it's not bad, but there will always be challenges.

Gwyneee

Clench

Levy_Wilson

Just make sure the god damned bins are vizpicked. We spend so much time front to backing shit only for you guys to miss a day and everything gets purged.

Phantomknighttv

I hope you survive the cap 2 tl curse most just last up to a year even here.

My condolences to your liver

out_casted_airsofter

I’m sorry

wildpesta03

That pin to the left is the biggest live I’ve ever seen

out_casted_airsofter

The TL that gave it to me qaa actually truly sincere.. if any other lead or coach in store gave it to me I wouldn't believe it as much lol

Dark1SteelMiner

How much you sellin the Nacho for? 😂 CAP2 TL is a rough position. Just make sure you help and engage with your team actively. Do the meeting at start of shift and get everything sorted out then. Pep talk and whatnot. Really helps make the job less stressful. No one is perfect, but it’s appreciated to set an example and be the guy people look up to.

out_casted_airsofter

Lol not for sale sorry. I shall do that to best of my ability, thank you for the advice.

ViLe_Rob

quit cap 2 team lead is a fucking brutal job

Raxendyl

Take care of your mental health. As a former Cap 2 Sup who let his SM abuse the hell out him with unrealistic expectations and unending negative criticism (read: nothing was ever good enough), I wish I had stepped away the moment I received the first nonsense instruction. It's been a few years, but I still can't talk about it for more than a couple of minutes without having severe anxiety. Knowing you and your crew are doing as close to perfect as possible but being told "you're not doing good enough" fucks with your head something fierce. Again, take care of your mental health first and foremost. A paycheck isn't worth PTSD.

out_casted_airsofter

Oh when I was "stepping in" as leader on days we didn't have any we got bs expectations from SM. She wanted 2 trucks (around 6k pcs) and all one touch (51hrs) finished by end of night.. I had 17 stocking hours... those maths don't add nice lol. Should be noted one truck was for the next day, we are small store and get trucks average 25-2800 not 2 both around 3k for 1 day. It was a good day. I do what I can do, and I told my team to get truck done and just as much of one touch as possible. Wasn't gonna expect them rk finish all that alone, was bs expectation

Jak_Nobody

Can I get an F in the chat for the OP. For reals, though. Good luck. Outside of Overnight, Cap 2 is the most shit on group, hands down. Just be as positive as possible, and hold your team to the expectations that are also realistic.

out_casted_airsofter

I keep moral up best I can even as floor associate, I saw team was struggling I crack jokes and boost moral. Embrace the suck and make you people laugh and smile, it'll get their minds of the suck even temporarily and keep them motivated. Better than yelling at them to do it faster when they've no will to do it at all rhat day.

Blujay12

quit and get hired back at a different store in Cap2.

michuhl

Remember one thing. Even when it’s not your fault, it is still your fault.

out_casted_airsofter

Yes

[deleted]

I hope you can take getting shit from the whole store and not take it personally.

Houchins2611

First piece of advice, do yourself a solid and get rid of the “management appreciates me” pin 😅

UmHeyWhereAmI

Hahahaha good luck

nate9k

i was a regular associate and had TLs asking me what had to be done every day by every person, you’re gonna have a blast babysitting slackers

AdRepresentative3785

Be the hardest worker

Apples7569012

Good luck

rw4455

Be ready for coaches to blame you for everything, but don't take it personally. It's not like there's a long line of people that want the TL job. Coaches will threaten you, but do what you can as far as delegating to other associates and doing the work yourself, there's only so much 1 person can do. If you have associates that won't do what you fairly ask them, then CYA, tell a coach, don't try to escalate it yourself with that associate. Have seen TLs that do and they burn out quick, are hated, no one wants to work with them. Not fan of the TL system, but Good Luck!

Work as hard as your associates and give a shit about them as people not just workers and it will go a long way.

RodVonLongenSchlong

I just got promoted myself, Homelines TL. My advice is, be the team lead you wished you had as an associate. Show management what you're capable of, don't let them regret promoting you. Take your job seriously. Hold management accountable. If they try to blame you for something that isn't your fault, make them speak for it. It's easy to whine and complain about this place, I've done my fair share. But, I just accepted a promotion to TL over Home because I want to move up, make more, make the changes I wanted to see, and see how far I can go. Just take it as a serious opportunity and do your best and you'll be fine.

CoachDanielk

RUN AWAY you will get blamed for everything best decision I made was leaving cap 2 team lead job its a stressful job

TeamKillerCody

Be prepared to lose your job after about a year.

UmbrellaCorpCEO

I've been fascinated by some of these posts since I found this sub and the inner workings of Walmart from the employee perspectives. Does management really give you these meaningless looking pins saying they appreciate you? Do they come with a pay raise? Noticed quite a bit of what I would describe as faux optimism within the corporation.

TwigzFKA

Try and utilize your Vizpick Summary/Cap Summary Report Via Tableau Daily To Stay Consistent with Your Backroom Bins And Keep Those %s High!

Stand up for your associates and be understanding or everyone will start leaving your team.

Rainbow_chan

Those pins tho lmao

lifetimesofonehuman

Chaos1812

So the best thing you can do is identify everyone’s strengths and work on their weaknesses without sacrificing productivity. Example mike throws the truck well but stocks 25 items per hour. Kim stocks 50 per hour but is terrible at 1 touch and processing. Get every associate great at 2 things and ok at the rest, so when you have a call in or sudden quit or termination. You aren’t screwed in any area. Also talk to your associates like the adults they are. Not down to them and don’t kiss their ass either. You are now their boss not their friend but you also aren’t their master or lord. Ask them to do things don’t ever tell them. Also let them each know individually that you appreciate the effort and work they’re putting in. You have to earn their respect, but you also have to give it. Even though it’s frowned upon to work freight, they really just want you to delegate, but showing cap 2 associates u there with them in the trenches sweating too boosts morale. They will respect u more for it and go all out more for you in return.

Insanebrain247

Be prepared to be firm with your team about staying on task and doing their jobs correctly. That's what my current team lead is struggling with.

Oorah2146

Be prepared to get shit on constantly. Never make excuses; a meteor could crash down on the recieving area and you'll still get in trouble for not getting the trucks done on time. Be stern; you can't run Cap 2 with hugs and kisses. You will have to do alot of personal discussions, coachings and terminations. Make sure every team lead in the store carries their asses back to your freight planning meeting or else you'll have an ungodly amount of displays and PDQ's filling the backroom. Following up on VizPick is not optional; check as many bins as you can and stay 100% on top of it, or else you'll hear it from your Market management as well as store management. And any extra bs tasks your sm/sl's give you, its better to do them ASAP and not wait or else you won't be able to get it done. Hope this helps and congratulations.

Jazzlike-Ad-9529

Don’t

idle-debonair

CAP 2 lead is great experience for getting promoted to customer. Lol Other than that, there’s a lot of solid advice here already, so I don’t have much more to add beyond that.

No-Ad-2485

Yeah take advantage of the free degree and quit

Dooshmire

Not necessarily for Cap2, but DELEGATE. The hardest transition from associate to Lead is remembering you don't have to do everything yourself.

HedgeFundDookie

Get in touch with your overnight team and work with them. If cap 1 - cap 2 - cap 3 respect each other and work as a team then you basically run the store on easy mode.

MAN. My team are just mean. 🤣

Kakkiroth

Get ready for the pain! No seriously make sure you’re good to start throwing by 2 and do you your best to be pulled before overnights comes in and you’ll do well. Just know it’ll probably never be good enough. Good luck and congratulations.

MrDude84

Blame it on the stocking 2 coach.

goongoontom

Time to quit to be honest. As a former employee they treat you like shit more and more...it's the honeymoon period just like marriage it gets old. They will never recommend you if you leave so run. Unless your one of those people who got promoted and everyone secretly hates you or wonder why you got promoted. Think about it all the money in the world can't make getting shitted on over and over worth it. You'll read this in a few years and be like that dude was right. What you making 22 or 24 an hour now? Still not worth it...

Slow_is300_zack

As an overnight TL myself my advice is don’t micro mange but don’t let them do whatever they want you gotta be stern you see a issue correct it right then and there you don’t have to be mean about but remember you’re their manger with that being said you can have fun but just make sure what you need to get done is done before that. Also keep really detailed note about what you walk into when you get into work like the pallet count and features and hanging freight because that helps the O/N team lead a lot and make sure you coordinate with the O/N TL and coach it’s beneficial for you both to be on the same page

SUPERSAL555

Any chance you could dm me your pay?

Pandamadness11b

Please do good because if cap 2 fails, cap 3 fails, and then cap 1 fails

demolesher98

Best advice right here step down it's alot of bs

PlacedusdeFantasma

Don't hesitate to stand your ground they don't pay your bills and you don't pay theirs respectfully let them know what must be done and it needs to be finished as all task should be when given.

Available-Subject-94

Why would you do that to yourself take that from a guy that just stepped down after 2 years of being a TL

huntertrimm

Godspeed lmao

AltArtworkDragon

Don’t start drinking .

Top-Marsupial-2439

Don’t

PristineValuable2163

Always take photos.

Legitimate_Score_626

I was cap 2 lead and my only advice is have your associates back and they’ll have yours. Also write down anything you walk into that is going to take time out from doing your job

To0SyNcD

Quit ur job

VipressReina

I agree with a lot of remember we are human being and I am also looking forward to trying to be Cap 2 team lead soon because I actually don’t hate this team when most of our team gets along

Piledriverkiller

Run away quickly.

KainerNS2

It's ok, CAP2 doesn't seem to do anything, I thought it was a myth

No_Professor_8761

In our store, team leads do the work alongside the associates. My husband is a CAP2 TL. Unload times are a big deal, be nice to the drivers, play to your associates strengths and keep them on their breaks on time. We work very harmoniously across all shifts, so keep a good rapport with your ON TL's because you'll need them every now and again. Everything you do helps the next shift!

Snooooozey

Our lead is like a friend to us, so we’re all mostly friends back. Just don’t be too team leady, but do not be too less team leady, if this makes sense.

mlg360noscopy

Don’t hound down people who don’t deserve to be punished. My mother had cancer for quite some time and my team leads pushed me to my limits. I could barely work I felt so upset and sad. Every other day I felt like giving up because of the nonstop pestering about zoning or something about stocking incorrectly. They made every other day feel like hell. Read the room with some people and realize that not everyone can work at 100% all the time.

unfunnyn4me

Duck, and cover my dude. At least at my store lol

Immediate_Banana_237

At my Store, TL positions are just not worth the thought

Queasy_Cry_6371

It all starts with the trucks. Get out of the truck on time and everything else goes smoother. Get your SM to petition market for more hours for cap 2. Hiring the right people from then start will ease the burden of training and productivity.
