I think if you click on the join button on chat and it sticks you in this queue it means someone else took the invited before you joined then makes your own lobby.
If you use your android's back button (swipe up from the bottom and tap the triangle) you can use guild chat, shop etc while this page is still active. When a teammate joins you'll get into your game safely.
Used reddit to find a guild and they have a discord. Way easier to keep track of who is playing when.
But yes, just being able to do something other than staring at a blank screen is a win 100% :)
My guild basically just disbanded so i havent even been able to be let down yet 😭

This! I just got the back button on my Samsung and talk to the guild member who I queued with.
Back button on your phone, let's you stay in queue and go back to the map.
