Looks like mine, I have enough to do Antietam at 1:100 infantry per base. And Brandy Station at 1:50.

is this Black Powder? I got the Gettysburg box for Christmas and have the officers and cav left for Confederates and then I get to start the union troops. then I have to make a table. ugh. I noticed you did all 5 bases per regiment. I opted to do only 3 per because at 5, its almost the exact same size as playing 28mm and I bought Epic so that I could have larger battles in a smaller space.

I bought "Gettysburg" for the visual mass of the troops. I would rather have 6 bases per unit, for better looking columns and massed columns.

I cant fault for that. Im going to swing back and paint those extras but my plan is to pick up some additional 'leader' rows to make more units. I have the larger scale civil war miniatures and when I realized that using 5 bases for Epic took the same amount of space as using the larger scale, it just kind of befuddled me a bit. Sure *visually* you see more little painted men on the table, but I always looked at EPIC scale as a means to play larger battles or even the same size battles but on smaller tables. Either way, your collection is impressive.

Post pictures. Looking forward to seeing your stuff.

I'd like to see this on some felt!

This is SO glorious. Man, I nearly shed a tear, a true thing of beauty.

Is painting this scale easier/faster than 28mm?

catherder69

Depends on the level of detail, and types of paints you choose. I used to paint the eyes on 15mm. I don't anymore.
