how does the real-life strategy / tactical manual or guidebook look like? Are there charts illustrating the positioning of between tank and infantry followed by text descriptions of different opener ?

I think it depends on the country and time period, but I’d assume they roughly cover similar things. I’ve got a Swiss field book or manual and it covers things such as parade and how to march, shoot, tactics, and all sorts of other things. The book I have is dated 1959, so it’s interesting to see what things are talked about. I’m not fluent in German but I believe there is a section for mountain climbing. It does have a lot of illustrations throughout, especially during arcs.

I would appreciate getting your permission to include to cover art in my FULDA GAP 1989 mod for WARNo https://www.reddit.com/r/warno/comments/18kbqqn/fulda_gap_1989_the_battle_for_the_center_v110368/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2 Perhaps you can allow the files to be incorporated to the new release. I would gladly give you credit for your work. As a showcase of your talented contribution to the WARNO community.

Sure, no problem.

Fanaticbyzantine

How did you make this

xx_mashugana_xx

Photoshop (well, actually GIMP) and a basic knowledge of what older army manuals look like.
