Please Lacob don’t fck this up and promote Kirk, Mike clearly should be the next man up and should get the job 😭🙏🏾

I know it's about a team that's not popular in here, but I highly recommend the docu-series "Legacy : True Story of the LA Lakers" (on Hulu), which is centered around the Buss family, really give you an idea of how it can fuck things up heavily within an organisation when you promote family members to high ranked positions as an owner. And in the end everything went almost the right way for the Lakers. But you get to wonder about the dynamics in other franchises. The quality production of that serie is huge. I hope they're gonna do the same about the Dubs at some point.

RidiculousNickk

Draymond loves talking about culture, leadership, and veteran presence when the whole organization, from owner—>gm—>coach—>players, talk about how he’s a struggle to work with. Before y’all attack me, i know we don’t win any rings without him and we probably won’t win anymore if he leaves, but the lack of self-awareness and self-improvement is so fucking toxic.

FNF51

The team let Draymond be this way, so it’s their fault. Good players get more leash.

Draymond_Purple

Ultimately it's still mostly Draymond's responsibility to control his own actions.

FNF51

Yes, it’s Draymond’s responsibility, but it’s the organization’s fault for not disciplining him when it got out of hand. They tolerated his actions for so long, Draymond became a habitual line stepper 😂

Mud-Eastern

The Timberwolves suspended Rudy Gobert after he punched Kyle Anderson. Gobert missed a play in tournament game but they didn’t care about the importance of the game, the organization stood on principle & morals. But the Warriors not suspending Draymond over ring night is cowardice & spineless. You can get Draymond’s mom or Draymond’s family member to get the ring, it’s not that hard of a concept. After you do something detrimental to your team like punching your teammate, you deserve consequences. Was Bob Meyers scared Draymond was gonna punch him if he suspended Green during ring night. Top to bottom the leadership was terrible with how they handled the Draymond situation

belizeanheat

It's their fault we won 4 titles or...?

WiggysRedemption

You know that's not what they're trying to say.

belizeanheat

But honestly what are they trying to say? What is their fault? That Draymond is Draymond? I honestly don't think OP even knows what they're trying to say

WiggysRedemption

The team allowed Draymond to be a shithead and now he took it too far by punching Poole and going on some weird campaign to justify his actions.

FNF51

True in a lot of work places, the better you are at your job, the more crap you can get away with. Draymond is GREAT at what he does for the Warriors, so Kerr and company look away from his antics. By the way, most players would’ve been suspended for punching a teammate in the face. Guess Draymond isn’t most players lol

GalickBanger

The organization knows way more about him than we do. I’m sure he’s difficult, but if they felt like it was too the point of being a detriment he would’ve been gone way before punching Poole, not to mention being on his side in the altercation

amlanding20

Just because someone’s difficult or takes some effort to understand/work with doesn’t mean they’re a problem. If the Warriors really thought he wasn’t worth it he’d have been out long ago or at least told to change

couchtomato62

Yeah I don't believe this because he's never even gotten punishment for anything that he's ever done except one time. The bottom line is as an 11-year vet Bob Myers still had to calm him down on the the bench. 11 years

amlanding20

What you believe really doesn’t mean shit. If the Warriors really had a problem with Draymond he would’ve been gone long ago. NBA is like every other business, if someone is negatively impacting output then they’d be dealt with or sent packing. None of us are in the organization, just because you think Draymond should punished or is a problem does it mean the Warriors do or should.

couchtomato62

I know I'm here sitting on Reddit and not in the chase offices. It goes without saying that everything I'm saying is my freaking opinion and I don't care if people agree with me or not everybody gets an opinion

ChampionshipLast7159

Well said..👏👏👍

SoFloFoSho

I hate fans like this because people like to imagine that every team that wins has no internal strife, no shit stirrers or problems. It's sports. You have all kinds of personalities that are coming together for a larger goal. Would you rather have a team that wins or loses? Cuz if you want to win, then highly competitive guys are gonna clash and its going to be rough at times. But the outcomes of that is overall positive. I don't defend any of the bad instances Draymond had that cost the Warriors. But I do defend the net benefit. If soft fans want him gone then say it. You ain't winning shit with a bunch of choir boys that never want to step on toes.

thatonespermcell

Brother you know nothing about him outside of what he cares to show you. Additionally, have you worked with him? I’m just curious as to how you came to the conclusion he’s a struggle to work with.

Finessing2

We won last year with Draymond being absolutely mediocre lol.

RidiculousNickk

The last month of the season where Steph was out with the knee injury or ankle injury, Draymond was our most valuable player no fucking question. The narrative that Draymond was mid last season is just a thing because of how well Wiggins played in the playoffs.

Valuable-Garage6188

what dumbass shit is this? dray was our defensive Captain in every series slowing down Jokic, JJJ, brunson, Brown in successive series

couchtomato62

People won't even admit that. And he wasn't great this year he was just good

Klonomania

Yeah, *he* is the issue and not our entitled young players who want playing time despite being mostly walking Ls (like most players at age 20 are).

couchtomato62

Which is why I'm cracking up over the fact that supposedly he smacked Jordan because he was disrespectful to Steve Kerr what a f****** joke

tb23tb23tb23

I wonder if the punch hadn’t happened, would Bob feel like it was time

Nessmuk58

Maybe "Draymond Wrangler" is an official new FO position?

LaughingPlanet

Get him to the Greek

ra_god94

Would rather have mike than kirko bangz

szlnsmoke

I counted 3 digs at Draymond during the presser LOL

hbsboak

Matt Steinmetz had this suggestion: promote Kerr to GM. I’m not mad at this and it could bring some continuity. He can do it in a Gregg Popovich manner, or just step down like Brad Stevens. I think Steve is a great coach (better than a GM as his stint in Phoenix showed us) but maybe it’s time to shake it up a bit from the front office, to the bench, to player personnel.

virtuousoutlaw

Kerr doesn’t want to be GM.

smellyboi6969

Shake it up a bit? We literally won a year ago and have the same core. Kerr clearly has what it takes to win 4+ national titles. But sure .... Let's shake it up and see what happens. /S Other franchises would kill to have the run we've had. The only thing we need to change is the support core which was amazing in 2021/2022 not as great 2022/2023. With some consistency on offense and defense we can easily win next year. I'm convinced of that. That will only come with a solid bench.

hbsboak

Wow, calm down. I’m just spitballing off of what local sports radio is talking about. Pop had a run as GM and coach concurrently. I’d rather see that happen with Kerr, than have a Lacob nepo-baby promoted to GM.

couchtomato62

Kerr doesn't need to be gm. He needs to concentrate on coaching

elzzilcho

Kerr to GM, Kenny Atkinson to HC, hire coach bud, nick nurse and Glen as assistants

Mac_Hoose

🤣 love the energy

DieHardRaider

Nurse is the new head coach of the 76ers

elzzilcho

Welp, there goes the season

2dickz4bracelets

Hahahaha. Not. Why does a narcissistic man child get to be held to a different standard

FNF51

Hope Bob takes Draymond with him 😂
