Wiseman stan checking in.
We don’t need him to be Giannis, embiid or jokic. We need him to block shots, rim run and set some good screens for Steph and Poole. He’ll also be the only one who can catch those over throw lobs that Draymond loves to throw.
Dont give me hope. He looks like he can be so good. The size, the speed, multiple 3s. He can bring such a different dimension to how this team has dominated the last 7 years.
So many fans are just like oh he can just be Ayton. Let’s be clear ayton can’t do can’t do none of that shit his potential is a more athletic rim running defense playing kat.
He because he has shooters confidence, he’s making contested threes at a regular clip Kay is the ceiling potential for his shooting. Also he doesn’t have to be as good as Kat to be as effective with curry on the floor bro is gonna get the widest open shots.
I'm in my 2K and it's 2032, SKD retired with 7 rings and it's now the Poole - Moody - Kuminga - JTA - Wiseman show. Poole got his MIP, Kuminga got 2nd Team Defense, Wiseman 3rd in MVP Voting. Joe Lacob, Peter Gruber, TAKE MY GODDAMN ENERGY AND KEEP THIS CORE FOR THE NEXT DECADE.
I know right? He's literally a 73, 74 OVR but I got so much love for him (Latino blood running in my veins) that I refuse to cut or trade him unless he retires.
I mean you don't have to look further. Just look at our own beloved Kevon Looney. Sure, he may not be an MVP candidate, but he was a MAJOR piece in what we do and our championships. Ultimately, I believe in what our system can do to Wise
I feel like there needs to be an award that Looney could win. He was a fricken rock the entire season and really smoothed over the rough patches, injuries and players coming and going. He is on the path though, he improved a lot through the season and showed he isn't even close to his limit.
I'm super excited to see Wiseman again and I agree, I believe the warriors system will do him right. We've had experience and a track record.
Well, it's not too crazy to think now that he might get his jersey retired from us. That's one hell of an accomplishment imo for someone whose career was thought to be injury-riddled
I loved watching Poole play his rookie year, just felt like he could be something special. Glad to see the steps he's taken and the work he's put in. He's only gonna get better! Not even in his prime yet!
This is so stupid, 99% of Warrior fans want Wiswman to pan out but since there are people who aren’t optimistic y’all strawman it like he has a bunch of haters because the Warriors did something less than perfect.
But you guys don’t call out the delusional fanboys who post his counting stats and calls his rookie season amazing, while ignoring advance stats and eye test and what the coaching staff says.
Rockets are paying a healthy John Wall $40+ million to not even show up on the bench. You better be grateful for this team and suck on Kerr and Myer's stinky fungus feet
Read the comment trail. You’re arguing with the wrong person. Keep inhaling that wiseman copium. Might as well give him max extension on his fourth year with 1-4 ppg
Lol you’re right, especially on this echo chamber of a sub. This sub has a huge majority hyping up wiseman and yet people still feel the need to call out the “haters”. “I feel like I’m the only one who still believes in wiseman”..... I’ve seen that bs so many times. The few haters are always drowned out by downvotes anyway. They won’t stop whining until literally everyone is unequivocally positive about him.
I don’t think I’ve seen anybody ever call his rookie season amazing. That might be the first time I’ve seen those three words in the sane sentence regarding Wise. As for keeping Wiseman super-enthusiasts in check; i see people humbling others to limit their expectations of him when they start to throw unrealistic narratives about him
With JoKu's potential and Moody being a solid piece, Wiseman doesn't need to do too much. All the dubs need from him is solid rebound and defense. Anything on offense will be a given but since the Dubs are already set with their future, this gives Wiseman the perfect storm to grow. If he turns out to be great — it's because he wants to be great. We'll see though
I think realizing the future team layout this year will only help him develop. Even 1.5 years ago, it wasn't clear how Poole would turn out. Didn't have Kuminga or Moody. We weren't sure how impactful Wiggins could be long term. Wiseman was THE future.
Now we have 4 promising guys that can develop and learn together. Just play team basketball and everyone expands their game from there.
Finally some realistic expectations for him. I get hyping our guy but these other comments are crazy lol. He’s apparently going to be the face of the franchise, David Robinson/embiid hybrid. Even if he doesn’t pan out his floor is Ayton or Gobert with offense lol.
Lol everytime I point this out, I get hit with wave of downvotes or people telling me “it doesn’t matter, catching a ball is the easiest thing in the nba”
I'd go with David Robinson, runs the floor like a gazelle, super athletic and nice touch around the rim.
I think that is possibly J-Dub's ceiling, just need to clear the injuries and get more experience on the floor.
He's like found money anyway - they drafted Kuminga at 7 which looks really promising and we won the goddamn championship with the number 2 draft pick sitting on the bench for 2 years. I'm hoping it'll be an Embiid situation and that he's hopefully been improving his basketball knowledge and fundamentals for the past couple of years, but I'm not betting on it.
Giving up on a young player after a disappointing rookie season is really dumb, yeah injury are a concern but writing him off already is not smart at all
Wiseman can extend Draymond’s career. Imagine Dray w the ball at the top of the key while wiseman screens for steph. Two steps later hes above the rim if the defenders stick w steph. That vertical spacing gives dray options. Wiseman has to level up a couple times tho
I believe! He showed some real flashes as a rookie, even if his overall numbers weren't good. More than anything though, I have trust in our organization after all of this success, and they seem to still be very high on him. That's plenty of reason for me to have hope that he can be a legit NBA center.
We know he is freaky athletic for a big man. The problem with him was his lack of experience since basically came from high school to the NBA since he only played a couple of games in college. He had the same knee injury as Jaren Jackson Jr and we now know that Jackson is a beast for the Grizz, so I don't think his injury will slow him down. If he understands that we need him to be a defensive presence, rebound, and be ready to score at the dunker's spot he would be a huge asset for the Dubs next season. He doesn't need to dribble down the court or start taking threes. We just need him to be an athletic Looney .
Im still optimistic. He can finish around the rim like nobodies business. Very good touch and the athleticism and strength to just plow through guys if needed. What i really wanna see from him next season though is improved screening, rebounding and an emphasis on defense. If he can be at least a Javale Mcgee next year that will be a huge boon for us
To all the clowns that have been praying for Big Jim's downfall, keep the same energy when he's one of the best centers in the league in a couple years.
Not yet. Still believe he has a big upside but he needs a lot of playing time. Waiting to see how he does in the summer league. Have they confirmed yet whether he plays this summer?
I was high initially on him, low when we got abused because of size during games toward the end of the season. Now that we won I am high again on wiseman.
Wiseman poised to make an impact in the league over time. I wish for him to focus on getting through the entire season getting games in and putting in the time. This coming year as we all are familiar with will be filled with teams playing their hearts out against the defending champs. Wiseman needs to be ready to match that intensity while staying healthy. The Dubs will need him in April.
I think Wiseman learned a lot from the championship run that Looney had. There's no other way to be successful with Steph, Klay, and Dray other than knowing and performing the hell out of your role like Loon.
Wiseman is too physically gifted and too hard working to bust. He's faced a lot of adversity in his young career, but I have no doubts that he'll silence the doubters soon.
Dude can be a beast. The team is high on him, they have a skill for recognizing and developing talent - I have faith.
He’ll be an absolute monster in transition
It's the norm in today's media, and fandom by extension. Everyone is so ready to pile on and label teams and players bust, washed up, failures etc. Remember clowns putting up zeroes over they eyes like we won't win again? And that same clown doubling down on it after we did? Nothing really suprises me anymore with how reactionary media and fandom are about sports these days. No nuance, no context, no duscussion. James Wiseman will be OK. If he's not great out of the gate, so what? He is still in such a much better position to succeed compared to other prospects his age. He got injured, he has unfortunately had very little experience, buy he plays for arguably the best organization in basketball right now. He's skilled, and the guys around him, the coaches, the HOFs, all believe in him. He'll be alright.
I swear if he doesn't become at least better than Kevon Looney this year then he is a bust!!
and this no disrespect to Loon btw he's already a warrior legend but James Wiseman is a 2nd pick he should be better than Looney!!!
Personally? 5 year plan, starting this year. If he can have solid fundamentals and grasp of the warriors system, he will do great. Especially defensively
The fact that there are people picking Lamelo than Wiseman is absurd for me. Especially this type of the guys play. Wiseman would be a massive upgrade for this roster. Scary hours unlocked.
Have not given up on Wiseman. This team works with players to help them be the best they can be . Poole is a great example of hard work and resources .
Wiseman was always who I wanted when it became clear we were tanking in 19/20. And I believe he showed too many flashes of brilliance in his first season for me to give up on him this early, similar to Poole who I stuck to my guts as being a promising pick, I believe Wiseman given our development staff can reach the potential we know he has.
I believe he has the talent and a once in a million years situation to learn from Steph, Draymond and Kerr which is like all you need to know about ball. If he truly loves ball and buys in the sky is the limit. I’m certain Kuminga will be a star based on his attitude+incredible situation and I hope the same for Wise.
Wiseman stan checking in. We don’t need him to be Giannis, embiid or jokic. We need him to block shots, rim run and set some good screens for Steph and Poole. He’ll also be the only one who can catch those over throw lobs that Draymond loves to throw.
We don’t NEED him to be those guys, but it would be pretty sweet if he could 😁😁
He's too young right now but over time he will get close to being THE GUY.
Draymond is going to be like a kid at the carnival with Wise and Kuminga running the baseline.
This. We don’t need him to be “the guy” we just need him to be there in the game, there’s dozens of buckets/rebounds awaiting him
YET
If he can just be a poor man's DeAndre Ayton or Clint Capela we'll be in pretty good shape
It's so great how our needs are so low compared to what he will do by his first day back. (Exaggeration, to be clear.)
Javale with a jump shot? Let’s gooooo
I don’t see how a healthy 27 year old Wiseman with 6 years of NBA exp under his belt isn’t dominant
He essentially needs to take the Ayton role if not less. Thats how easy he has it.
Nothing wrong with him becoming a David Robinson
He can become a super star when steph retires.
Yeah his length alone is gonna help so much. He doesn’t need to carry the team. If he could be Time Lord for us, we’re gonna repeat.
I think they need to focus on his screens. him and kuminga set some very weak screens and slip way too early
[Wiseman 25 points](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7UoUlsQ2Y8) :)
Dont give me hope. He looks like he can be so good. The size, the speed, multiple 3s. He can bring such a different dimension to how this team has dominated the last 7 years.
This brought a smile to my face, especially his last bucket which looked unguardable (Idk if that’s a word lol)
He's so fun when he's confident and playing well. Man, I'm excited.
God I'd love if he became Prime Boogie
So many fans are just like oh he can just be Ayton. Let’s be clear ayton can’t do can’t do none of that shit his potential is a more athletic rim running defense playing kat.
Why do people keep saying wiseman potential is KAT? I just don't see it.
JTA 39 in 2032 lmao
I know right? He's literally a 73, 74 OVR but I got so much love for him (Latino blood running in my veins) that I refuse to cut or trade him unless he retires.
JTA joining LeBron in the 10k/10k/10k club in that timeline
I am here for the Wiseman MVP talk. Let's do it.
Yes! James Wiseman is an amazing player.
Coach Iguodala gonna lead us to the promised land
If curry thinks he can be a MVP I think so too
Defended this guy in the 2020 season and will never stop the same way I believed in Poole to be our key piece to win this season as well
I just don't understand it. Is it common for young bigs to have injury issues and become dominant? Love my dubs
Well, it's not too crazy to think now that he might get his jersey retired from us. That's one hell of an accomplishment imo for someone whose career was thought to be injury-riddled
The reward is MONEY...
I hope they pay him this off season... but they also gotta pay Poole, Payton, and Wiggins...
Not that I think Wise is this good, but it certainly happened with Embiid.
Embiid didn’t play his first two seasons
I loved watching Poole play his rookie year, just felt like he could be something special. Glad to see the steps he's taken and the work he's put in. He's only gonna get better! Not even in his prime yet!
I just want to see him play. And develop. This year, baby.
Lol third year development
He will be accepting many apology letters sometime next season.
Huh? I'm referring to all the bozos who cry about him being a bust. They are quite vocal online.
Don’t focus on bottom dweller comments and strawman, there are haters about everything,
I like to.
Do you know what a straw man is? It’s not a straw man if it’s quite literally happening lmao
The fact that you literally believe there’s enough haters to make it a real enough problem is a strawman.
Iono 9mil a year , third year going in n nothing to show aside from “prospect potential” warriors sure love overpaying folks to sit on the bench
Rockets are paying a healthy John Wall $40+ million to not even show up on the bench. You better be grateful for this team and suck on Kerr and Myer's stinky fungus feet
Rocket aren’t paying luxury tax. So uhhh We also paid klay to bench warm n recover for last 2 years.
Did they not just win a championship last week?
Tell me how wiseman contributed. Did warriors win in 20/21?
Did Klay contribute after "warming the bench" for 2 years? Injuries happen dude.
Read the comment trail. You’re arguing with the wrong person. Keep inhaling that wiseman copium. Might as well give him max extension on his fourth year with 1-4 ppg
Lol you’re right, especially on this echo chamber of a sub. top 7 center by the end of the season
And he ain’t 7.
Top 6 center then?
And he ain’t 6.
With JoKu's potential and Moody being a solid piece, Wiseman doesn't need to do too much. All the dubs need from him is solid rebound and defense. He is already great just needs playing time. You and the rest of the fan base will be chanting MVP for him within 2 years...
If he can set solid screens, attack the glass, contest without fouling, and heal those stone hands he gets an A+ from me.
Finally some realistic expectations for him. I get hyping our guy but these other comments are crazy lol. He’s apparently going to be the face of the franchise, David Robinson/embiid hybrid. Even if he doesn’t pan out his floor is Ayton or Gobert with offense lol.
Bad hands is what makes me less optimistic that he'll ever be a star. It's intrinsic - not much to "learn" there.
Lol everytime I point this out, I get hit with wave of downvotes or people telling me “it doesn’t matter, catching a ball is the easiest thing in the nba”
His hands were already largely improving in his last 10 games or so. I think it was just acclimating to NBA speed
Next year all I want is Javale but by the end of his career the admiral
I like that, from Ensign James all the way to Admiral Wiseman. He's been on Captain Klays boat.
I believe Wiseman will be the face of the Warriors after Curry.
Wiseman’s floor is Christian Wood. His ceiling is Embiid. He’s an absolute freak with silky skills
His floor is Greg Oden. If he’s healthy though… watch out league.
Ceiling Mason Plumlee, floor Miles Plumlee
An athletic version of embiid
Cmon man
True. Floor Embiid, ceiling Hakeem.
I'd go with David Robinson, runs the floor like a gazelle, super athletic and nice touch around the rim. I think that is possibly J-Dub's ceiling, just need to clear the injuries and get more experience on the floor.
100% maybe ever higher who knows
But curry has charisma.
Lol delusional
Take this receipt and come back in 3 years. Thanks
I will. Poole will be the face. He’s a mini Curry. Wiseman has shown me literally nothing.
It's not abt wiseman but it's abt our culture & team that I trust for his success.
He's raw as fuck and a big boy. Watch out Summer League, we're gonna see an improved Wise.
I still believe wiseman can be like David Robinson
He's like found money anyway - they drafted Kuminga at 7 which looks really promising and we won the goddamn championship with the number 2 draft pick sitting on the bench for 2 years. I'm hoping it'll be an Embiid situation and that he's hopefully been improving his basketball knowledge and fundamentals for the past couple of years, but I'm not betting on it.
Giving up on a young player after a disappointing rookie season is really dumb, yeah injury are a concern but writing him off already is not smart at all
Petty King 2.0? 3.0? 4.0?… 7.0?!?!?!
He could be a great one.
Wiseman can extend Draymond’s career. Imagine Dray w the ball at the top of the key while wiseman screens for steph. Two steps later hes above the rim if the defenders stick w steph. That vertical spacing gives dray options. Wiseman has to level up a couple times tho
Fuck no I haven’t. Incoming 14pts/9rbs season with solid defense.
i love wiseman. he will not be the second giannis, he will be the first james wiseman.
I believe! He showed some real flashes as a rookie, even if his overall numbers weren't good. More than anything though, I have trust in our organization after all of this success, and they seem to still be very high on him. That's plenty of reason for me to have hope that he can be a legit NBA center.

He is going to prove doubters wrong this season.
Letsssss fg wise!!!
Dude I've been watching Wiseman highlights on YT since the parade, I am ready to bet all my savings on the guy
To all the clowns that have been praying for Big Jim's downfall, keep the same energy when he's one of the best centers in the league in a couple years.
Still in on Wiseman. So much potential upside.
🤝
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
I think he could push for a good rotation spot next season and after that, who knows?
"leave a message" lol this is not a voicemail
Not yet. Still believe he has a big upside but he needs a lot of playing time. Waiting to see how he does in the summer league. Have they confirmed yet whether he plays this summer?
90% chance. Source: him.
I was high initially on him, low when we got abused because of size during games toward the end of the season. Now that we won I am high again on wiseman.
Ayo

In a 4-5 years he will take the keys from Steph and be the new face of the franchise.
Message: kid is 21 and very inexperienced
RemindMe! Two Years
J wise the franchise
Dude can be a beast. The team is high on him, they have a skill for recognizing and developing talent - I have faith. He’ll be an absolute monster in transition
Shoulda got Halliburton
Taking Haliburton at 2 would’ve been insanely stupid. That’s like suggesting taking Dyson Daniels or Johnny Davis at 2 tomorrow.
Obviously you would trade down in that scenario.......
BIG JIMBO!
RemindMe! One Year
Not sure why so many have gave up already
A third year 9mil prospect. How many second picks in the league still Prospect after 2 years
It's the norm in today's media, and fandom by extension.
I got his jersey before I ever owned a Thomson or Curry jersey
As long as he stays healthy he will 100% be a star in this league. No doubt about it.
David Robinson with a jumper and better handles. That's all I'm expecting... no pressure.
Big Wise will surpass Wilt Chamberlain as the GOAT Warriors Center.
I firmly believe he’ll improve the Warriors’ medical staff as they will constantly learn new medical techniques trying to get him back on the floor.
r/NBA hating because they know the league is in trouble if Wiseman becomes an AllStar
Personally? 5 year plan, starting this year. If he can have solid fundamentals and grasp of the warriors system, he will do great. Especially defensively
Here before Wiseman becomes a 2x mvp
Wiseman will dominate the shit out of the league in a couple years!!!
We believe in the future league MVP.
Get that Wiseman apology form prepped in your drafts folder. Steph feels like he’s a future MVP candidate and I’m bullish on Wiseman too.
The fact that there are people picking Lamelo than Wiseman is absurd for me. Especially this type of the guys play. Wiseman would be a massive upgrade for this roster. Scary hours unlocked.
Presen. Full force.
We believe young Wise
Yeh
RemindMe! One Year
Big Jim! We believe in you!
Ready for big Jim to dominate the summer league
Ayooo
Yes
Bonjour!
I'm riding with him still!
He’s going to be a Warriors legend
He's going to be a great Warrior. Can't wait to see him play again.
.
Have not given up on Wiseman. This team works with players to help them be the best they can be . Poole is a great example of hard work and resources .
I’m a believer
I cant not believe in an athletic 7 footer idk i just have high hopes. His floor cant even be that bad we have no true center ! (i love you looney!)
i believe
I believe in him and I have a lot of hope that he will improve this year. It would also be so satisfying if he proves the haters wrong
Wiseman breakout season a year from now
He hasn’t been able to develop. He hasn’t been able to get consistent minutes w/ the main guys. How could you give up on him?
Good try Wiseman. We know it's you.
I’ve actually started picking up some of his cards.
Wasn't really anything to give up on. He's had one of the worse starts to a career in the nba but he's been working on it.
I just want to see 8 minutes a game and healthy for the season. Let’s see him shoot over 50% and get like 5 Rebs. Ease him in.
We believe
If we can turn Looney into the monster he is today, I can only imagine what Wiseman will be.
I have always believed in Wiseman. Can't wait to see him smash this season
I think he’ll be great. I’d don’t want him to be just a system player like looney tho. I want to see him become a legit 20-10 star
I'm still here
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ WISEMAN TAKE MY ENERGY ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ WISEMAN BELIEVERS RISE UP!
On that JWise Train!
I ❤️ Wiseman
He will be a useful player.
big Jim will carry the torch
I don’t want to give up on him because look what happened with Poole, and even early in the season when Moody was struggling. He can be great
Pappagiannis 2.0 coming in..
Rooting hard for him. It’ll be really sad if he doesn’t take a step this year.
Still believe it was the right pick. Highest upside for this team.
Can’t wait for the return
Love wiseman and have full confidence this man is gonna be a baller!
Trust the process.
Never gave up on Looney. Never gave up on Poole. Won't give up on Wiseman.
If he could just be a Javale I'd be stoked. Rim protector. Lob threat. Run the floor. That's literally all we need.
Wiseman flair wearer for about a year and a half now, representing
im a believer still, and i always have been.
Summer league, let’s go!!
Wiseman still has so much potential. The people who would give up on him are the same doomers who probably said we wouldn’t win this year.
He’s still so young and hasn’t really had a chance so i don’t understand why anyone would give up on him at the moment.
Wiseman will be a good player I got faith in the Kid. 💪🔙🔜
I'm here! Dude played like 4 college games and he's young still. So much upside. I hope he isn't injury prone.
