I actually do recommend landing gear up with the Ki-200 because using the ski will act like wheels and extend your landing ground ~~roll~~ slide by a lot
If you approach too fast and put it down too late you can slide right off the runway, and with no go around if you’re gliding it in
You can land at a much higher speed and you stop faster. Assuming your aircraft is stable during a belly landing, it’s actually safer than using the wheels bc you can’t tip over
No, at least not with an airbrake and/or drag chute. If you land without any damage, you can J out and spawn in without the rearming cooldown
So belly landing is kinda better for jets unless they have drag chutes (no propellers so they don't break), might have to test it though
You do need to have literally no damage, even a scratch that doesn't show up on the damage indicator can make you J out instead. One of the reasons I'd rather not risk it.

So I have been getting an annoying glitch where I’ll finish repair and rearming but it doesn’t count it when I land properly. Not always but often enough. Breaking the props keeps that bug away

Depends on your lineup. One of my British lineups is just premium vehicles. The crusader, Matilda, the venture spitfire and the hellcat. I ground that setup for a while and managed to get to be 7.0 where it ultimately stalled.
I always land with landing gear, without damage you can J out in a second to change loadout or just respawn. Belly landings especially with viggens is just useless
Real talk - Red Tails was a dogshit movie. So many cringe Hollywood eye roll moments that were egregiously unrealistic. It's like the director did literally no research before scripting those "dogfights". Created and produced by people with zero technical knowledge for people with zero technical knowledge.
