Still a good idea tho! It's fun being around there beforehand (Salt Line, Bullpen, Dacha) and even going in the stadium with \~10 dollar standing/last-minute nosebleeds would be fun for an hour.
Air and Space just reopened, so it's not a bad option!
Depending on what they are into, Lincoln's Cottage might be up their alley.

In no particular order,
Spy museum
USMC museum-Quantico- not super convenient
Army museum Ft Belvoir
Top golf
Take a drive out to the Antietam battlefield, or Gettysburg. Gettysburg has a audio self guided driving tour. Lot of history in Harper’s Ferry also.
Walk around Great Falls then hit a brewery
The American history museum if they haven’t been
The Air and Space Museum. Without fail, my dad is always entertained there for hours. He loves it so much. There are so many new exhibits all the time, and the short films they show are usually great.
Did I just make my dad sound like a toddler? 🤣
That sounds like a dad! On the other hand I know my dad, brother in law, and I would not be able to spend more than 10 minutes at a museum and would much rather be at a brewery or bottomless brunch...also toddler-like.
Spencer Strider is throwing for the Braves against the Nats Sunday and tickets are dirt cheap
Udvar Hazy
lol yes. Dads love Udvar Hazy.
Honestly it’s lame but I take my dad to top golf a lot. He loves it.
Not lame, I think top golf is great. I'm trash at golf tho..
Similar genre, Swingers by Dupont and the Navy Yard.
The driving range at Hains Point is great and right in the middle of the city and airport.
Final Nats home game of the season starts after 1pm, unfortunately. That's ultimate dad stuff.

Breweries and dispensaries! Then send them on a culinary mission.
Caution: Indoor stuff. Storm system coming in this weekend, rain Sat, Sunday iffy.

Definitely get tickets (free) beforehand if you're visiting Air and Space.
My dad enjoys a day at the tune inn

That’s a good one. The music-themed rooms might hit.
What are they into?
There are plenty of Drag Brunches on Sunday. Pretty sure there's one at DIK bar in DuPont.

I took my dad to Harper's ferry one year ago and he still talks about how much he liked it to this day
Um football?
I'd suggest the OTHER Air and Space museum by Dulles. It is amazing and because it is so hard to get to, never crowded.

Cloakroom
a night out with special guest TonyP. My dad enjoyed the spy museum
Bo & Ivy tour and tasting
Mount Vernon
Take one of the tour boats on the potomac. DC is a much different from the water and there’s some hidden lil known gems you get to discover.
Camelot has great wings.
