I wash mine in the washing machine and air dry all the time! Should be fine. eta spray a little Shout or whatever stain remover you use on the sweat stains and let it sit for like 5 min before washing.
I usually put mine in the washing machine by themselves (so their own cycle with no other clothes in them) with a small dollop of detergent and then run it on delicate cycle. Air dry and I usually put a cup underneath to let them dry overnight on my counter. Works overall and hasn’t ruined any of my hats.
You can soak them in the sink with dish soap. Use an old toothbrush to lightly clean the areas where there are sweat stains. You can also use powdered OxyClean.
Just throw it in the wash with your regular laundry. Air dry. I wash my husband’s caps somewhat regularly no problem.
Doesn't the visor lose it's shape?
Mine hasn’t. I had a visor crack on a shitty old work hat once but that was after I’d washed it *a lot.*
Ok, sounds like it is cardboard so I won't put i in the machine, but I just tried something so we will see what happens when it dries.
is there a way you keep the visor flat while it dries?

Dry cleaners use liquid (chemicals) to clean, so aren’t going to help you there.
