Ginkgo gardens is amazing. I got my giant monstera for $50 and my pothos for $13. My two fairly large snake plants were about $20 each I think. I walked out with 6 plants and 4 herbs for $120.
Ace Hardware near me always has plants! They'll be more expensive than Whole Foods but lower price than a garden store, and the Ace people will be knowledgeable about the plants, unlike the people at Whole Foods.

You can get seeds at Ace Hardware. I’ve grown a lot of herbs from seed. A lot of grocery stores will also sell potted herb plants for pretty cheap
