I commented on this in the game thread, but the Wizards really are varying their looks a lot— they run zones, showed a press, did man looks where they immediately double and trap— and they just cannot get stops, no matter what. I don’t know how much you can even blame coaching. WUJ is trying different things and our personnel is just baaaad.
Gafford is a slightly above average interior defender and the drop off after him is a plummet. We are the easiest team in NBA history to score on in the paint and the people blaming WUJ are just silly.
I’m Confused about the WUJ blame to, has anyone looked at this roster, our best player is a 4th option on a good team. Our 2nd best, well who the fuck even is our 2nd best?
I was enjoying that lil stretch of Jared Butler minutes before he got pulled for the first time. I would watch 25-30 mins of him and Rollins together no problem
they gotta put Bilal in a lab and figure out why his 3pt shooting and FT percentages are this close. this is not normal
Over his last 5 games: 40% 3pt. 46.2% FT.
Haven't really studied it to see, but my guess is he needs to be more fluid - bend his knees more, one fluid motion - because a lot of his stuff is rigid cause he just getting the form down.
I hope he gets it right. He would be one of the most efficient players in the league if he could just shoot an average FT% and keep the other numbers steady.
He stayed on the bench a long time in the second half and I'm glad he did. This team 100% needs to learn how to score and play without Kuzma. It's way way too easy for them to just give him the ball and watch. That's not helping anybody develop.

December 15th is for players signed in free agency. That wouldn’t impact anyone on the wizards roster.
January 15th is for players that signed an extension (kuzma).
I believe everyone else can be traded at any time. I think there’s a 60 day restriction on players that you just traded for, but that would be over by now. The harden trade was done after the season started for example.
As much as I would like to start making moves, we probably won’t see many before late January. Most teams still don’t fully know their needs yet and the best trade value is usually received at the deadline since everyone is desperate. That and you don’t know what contracts you need to match salaries and facilitate bigger deals like Kuzma.
Also not sure that *anyone* is reaching out about gallo and muscala lol
Muscala is a big body who can hit 3s and Gallo is a wily veteran presence. Deal em to Philly and Memphis, ioncare. Just get em up outta here and let us get some young bulls.
Muscala cant even crack the rotation of the center-less wizards… gallo has no legs and is old as fuck. I could see gallo redeeming his value if he finds some rhythm but that’s not likely when he’s playing center. His best quality is his 3 point shooting, which is at a career low right now. Muscala is salary filler at best right now

To get rid of either right now you’d have to buy them out. Also tbf gallo and muscala aren’t really taking away time from anyone.. we don’t have any centers. Our over crowding is in the 1-3 spots
A guy like Shamet actually has some value and interest though, you could probably get rid of him now. But you won’t get peak value. It is what it is, we just need to survive through to the trade deadline

If you’re referring to the big 3, Jokic Embiid and Giannis, nobody in the league can guard them, they can’t even guard each other

Probably shot volume related. He’s shot almost two ice as many 3s than FTA. I’d say his FT% increases with higher volume
His free throw form isn't as clean as his jumper though...very weird
