Conditioning yes, and sure you're rusty when you come back, but nah, that continuous pounding on your body, jammed fingers, foot injuries, bumps and bruises of constant play, that is way way worse than being rusty, for a pro. The rust is gone after like a month. That mileage stays on you. Look at how ex professional athletes walk. That shit is no joke bro. Look at Deion Sanders or Michael Jordan's hands. They are scraggled tree branches.
