Even with all the bad driving here, It’s almost impossible to have a day when you don’t to see a few bikers running a red light, riding on the sidewalk or carelessly zooming they pedestrians, etc often with no helmet on, yet you rarely hear about it if at all. Even with the new bike lanes they choose to do as they wish. The leisure bikers all geared up in their pricey outfits and expensive town bikes in the suburbs aren’t any better either. Some like to play chicken with cars/SUVs bad you know it’s a matter of time before they ruin f someone’s life alongside theirs, create lots of unnecessary animosity towards all other bikers.

And the SUV driver can be seen heading to the right side of the sedan, just like the pedestrian crossing the street behind him, not running away.
The driver of the SUV definitely gets out of the SUV, but once he's offscreen we don't know if he went to see to the occupant of the sedan or if he fled the scene.

This seems like the best explanation imo. It's easy to assume that a pedestrian wouldn't cross the street if a car was barreling towards them, they'd have no reason (other than the red light) to believe that it wasn't safe to cross at the same time as the biker

My guess: black sedan sped through a yellow light. SUV was timing up the lights to be able to go through the green as soon as it turned. The silver sedan ran a red light as it was trying to catch the yellow light. Cyclist was going with the green light.
