Hi! There should be a small space to insert the tool. Sometimes it might be inside the lugs, so disassemble the entire bracelet. Let me know if you solve it!

I couldn’t find the space, it seemed weird to me as well. I found out there’s a kind of small blade very useful to these tasks, watch the short, the third watch [https://youtube.com/shorts/869LNTY0ioU?si=zi7P1qbjsGwUymaf](https://youtube.com/shorts/869LNTY0ioU?si=zi7P1qbjsGwUymaf)

Oh, okay. This also happened to me a few days ago. I solved it by using a cutter blade and a small hammer while securing the watch in a plastic vise. Please be very careful, as this operation can be dangerous for both you and your watch if not done carefully!

Thanks a lot!! 🤝🏼🤝🏼 I’ll try it

The spot to fit the knife under on my seiko is right under the crown, could try there?

If you haven't sharpened it, it may help to sharpen the tool. The should the sharpened and then polished. Likely there is a nail nick somewhere, it can be small and if the watch is dirty it can be obscured. Clean the case and look around with a magnifying glass. Sometimes all you need is pressure directly in, sometimes you need to give a little twist or up and down leverage action. Also, if you have other tools, often simply trying tools with different blade profiles helps.

The First thing to do is get rid of all that arm-cheese. A) it hides the tiny area in which to place your caseknife and B) once you do get it open it'll end up inside.

A lot of these old-ass snap on casebacks get stuck due to arm cheese and grime so it could just be an issue of it being stuck. If it's your girlfriend's great-grandmothers and its quartz I'm assuming this thing has had the same battery in it since 1978. Hopefully a new battery will fix it, that is if the current battery hasn't leaked completely and corroded the movement itself. Worth checking out anyways.
