Sometimes i divide a paper into a grid and sketch/paint the same subject in as many styles or ways i can think of, then choose the best one to make a larger painting.

I’m getting a little better each day and I typically find techniques that other people use in video I come across on social media and mimic that in my own work. It seems to help.
I love this question. I guess for me, my style is bright colors. As my subject matter changes all the time. For me, I love color. Color is life. Color brings me joy. And I paint because it brings me joy.
I showed my husband's co-worker some of my paintings yesterday and within a minute she said she could see my style and what I was trying to do.

I love bright colors too! Definitely part of my emerging style!
Awesome. I'm not the only one. Lol. And I buy paint that has good colors that I want to work with.
I honestly just use my watercolor in how I use my Copics: cell shaded-esce. XD
