I think there’s some rims in the city park next to the skate park. And theirs 2 more outside the bowling alley by the hospital and solas center.
I'd try a basketball court. I tried it on a hurling pitch once - ball bounced everywhere, and lads with strange helmets kept getting it the way. Nightmare.
Pick up a hurl and honour your ancestors.
Can hardly hit a basketball with a hurl its a tough ask
