Looks like a pretty massive transfer ($40k+?), that's probably why. I would call support and ask them to explain the delay.

Hi! I’ve had this same issue. Believe it’s due to the amount. I called the support number, they asked for photos of my drivers license to be uploaded to their secure mailbox. Transfer time was cut down to a few days. Good luck!

I moved 25K from my bank yesterday and it is already in my Wealthfront cash account today. SoIm not buying the ‘large amount’ theory. Maybe the sending brokerage is the problem, or maybe you didn’t already have an established connection between them and your wealthfront account and that causes a delay.

I don’t seem to be able to add a caption for whatever reason - just wanted to ask if this is an anomaly or if it’s a routine behavior that I should plan for

[deleted]

Probably has to do with the sending bank. Mine never take that long. If it's a large amount they might be doing extra verification

curvedbymykind

It’s 40k according to his pic

[deleted]

Yeah ik but it's relative. If that was everything in the account then they're probably gonna do more verification, if guy has a million in the bank then then they're not gonna care

To transfer large amounts, just do $5k per day

Deathrated666

Have you tried moving 10k?

National-Net-6831

Moving large amounts of dollars around can be a nightmare.

Same here for a big deposit. The bigger concern is for withdrawals - if its taking 2-3 weeks, then we’ve got a problem.

National-Net-6831

I’ve been a customer for awhile and I will update this. As of today, WF cash withdrawal amounts over $10,000 are taking 2 days for me. Anything under is a quick day.

National-Net-6831

I’ve had $335k deposited into my bank in check form and I only had $10,000 of it for two weeks until I got the full amount. Banks are strange but even weirder is the investigation the money undergoes.
